About this house rental

3 level log home , Watch the Durango & Silverton train go by, look north to the needles mountains, open floor plan with large kitchen with bar seating three, dining ,living area, with large windows, and outdoor decks. Tv room, 20min. To ski area, 7mi. To town. Just off hwy550 . There are two queen beds in separate rooms. Master is on the upper loft level with the second queen on the lower level ( very private) and two bunk beds with full beds on the bases and twin uppers. One of these bunk beds has a twin trundle underneath. These two bunk bed rooms are separated by a full bathroom. Summer months offer plenty of open 10 x 42 deck space with natural gas Weber grille, patio furniture includes table that seats six, lounge area with swivel rockers and couch. Entrance to the home is from the lower parking area up the log stairs on the north side to the 8 x 44 covered porch. Winter is no problem with the in-floor heating system on all levels. Back yard is fenced for up to two medium sized dogs.

Our family of 5 stayed at this beautiful property. It had a well-equipped kitchen and wonderful amenities. The view from the balcony was gorgeous and so peaceful. The location was perfect, everything we did in Durango was within 10 minutes. We were also blessed to get to know the owner, who was always available to answer a question. We will be back! Having stayed in many VRBO’s, this was by far our best experience. Beautiful home, friendly and helpful property owner and manager who both live nearby on the property. Highly recommend - you won’t be disappointed!

Great location with proximity to town as well as to all the attractions North on the highway to Silverton. The house was nicer than expected as the pictures don't do it justice. Great views of the sunset at night while sitting on the deck.

This property is top notch! The owners were exceptional as far as communication and made us all feel very welcome. The cabin was clean, had everything we needed, location was perfect, close to Durango, Purgatory, and the hot springs. Wish we could have stayed longer although we will be back. Eric, the owner’s son, was fantastic. He even brought us apricots and zucchini during our stay. The home is reasonably priced compared to others in the area and it’s absolutely beautifully appointed with tasteful, high quality furniture, knick knacks, paintings, etc. throughout. No skimping whatsoever. Even a piano! The location is just a few minutes to downtown Durango and convenient to indoor and outdoor activities. Really cannot say enough positive things about our stay. Thanks, Eric!

We visited from Texas and The property was amazing, views were incredible. Plenty of space for the family, all the beds were super comfortable and Extremely clean too. The on-site manager Erich was super friendly. Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Durango.

Prior to arriving I was in contact with Eric and he responded very fast. The property is located 2 miles from the city as stated. You are only 10 minutes from almost everything. This is a well built home both inside and outside. High end finishes throughout the home. I was impressed when I entered the home. Perfect location in a quiet area close to everything. The owners live next to the property. Eric and Dwight were very nice people. The home is very well maintained. They have everything you need. We did not have to buy anything except food. Large deck in front with a great view of the mountains. If you have a dog the yard is fully fenced in. Could not ask for a better place to bring a dog. If I come back to Durango I would only stay here.

This property was very clean and owner/property manager lived onsite and was very nice. Property had all of the essentials that were needed for cooking. The view was absolutely gorgeous. We will definitely stay there again.

Our family of 7 adults stayed here and it coukd not have been more perfect. The accomodations, the views and the well stocked kitchen were everything we needed. We enjoyed dinner every night on the patio and played games on the big table inside. There were also many spaces for us all to enjoy down time. The owners responded immediately to any questions we had and gave advice on places to go and see. We hope we get the oppotunity to come back. One thing I will mention is if anyone in your party is elderly or has disabilities that stairs might be a problem, keep in mind this is a 3 level cabin.

We had nine adults in our group, six of whom were racing Ironhorse. Perfect place to stay easy ride to the start on Saturday morning. Lovely home, lovely owners who are very attentive, including Dwight son, who invited us to come out and feed the chickens. Would stay here again absolutely!

The photos of the home do not do it justice. It's a very classy place. My brother got some gunk on his wedding guest shirt from the iron, and the host not only brought over a new iron, but also a steamer. Great service. In addition, my brother arrived before me and it was easy for him to work with the host to access the property. Snacks, wine, great communication. Thanks!

Everything was on top top shape when we arrived. The house was extremely clean and well decorated. Cooking was a breeze with all the kitchen gadgets that the home had. Beds were comfortable and the showers have great pressure. I will be booking this again in the future when we make it back. 10 out of 10 from us.

This log cabin is AMAZING!!! We wanted something rustic to fit in with the mountain area, and this log cabin was IT!! Nestled on the outskirts of Durango within 5 minutes of downtown Durango and approximately 20 minutes to Purgatory, this property exceeded our expectations! Fully stocked, great appliances, open concept, theater surround sound system, comfortable beds, beautiful views, wrap around porch, outdoor seating, fire pit, fenced in backyard (great for our dog), and a host with the MOST!! Our Christmas family vacation was complete with a Christmas tree inside and snow for sledding on the property. We would definitely book again!!!

Great rental home. Very comfortable and well located. Great host. Only negatives are noise from roosters in the morning and lack of AC. AC is only a problem mid-day. Mornings, evenings, and nights are fine. Host is working on rectifying AC issue

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. There were 4 adults and 5 kids and it was the perfect set up for us! Perfect distance to town, beautiful views, very clean and super comfortable. My favorite part was sitting out on the huge wrap-around deck in the morning while drinking coffee and watching the train go by!

We came for my daughter’s wedding and had an amazing weekend with no stress. We were a group 8 that maxed out at 10 for a night. We had plenty of space in this lovely home. We were very comfortable staying in this beautiful home. We had everything we needed and more! The location was perfect. Close to town but with the most breath taking views! The house is equipped with only the best and I felt very at home in the kitchen as well as the rest of the house! We had a 2 and 7 year old who had plenty of room the room and visit the chickens! Thank you to Eric and Dwight for your kindness and making our stay very enjoyable to the end!

We really enjoyed staying here for a family reunion in Durango. We especially enjoyed the common spaces and outdoor area which was great for congregating with family. We happened to be there during a very warm period so no AC was a little uncomfortable during the day. It it did cool off at night with windows open. Great location close to downtown and the mountains.

Our family of four, my father, and our dog loved our stay in this beautiful log home in Durango. It is beautifully decorated, spotless, spacious, well-equipped with anything you might need, has comfortable beds, and a huge wrap around deck with views of the mountains. It even has a telescope, games, and swings for the kids, and a fenced yard. It’s close to town and hiking trails. I can’t think of anything negative to say about our stay. I will stay here again if/when we ever come back to Durango!
