Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.

The property was in excellent condition. The location and view were amazing. The only drawbacks were the logistics with the ferry and the restaurant wasn’t great. It’s also the only restaurant option on the island and we only received three ferry passes for 6 days. To ride the ferry it was $55 each time. Also an umbrella would have been nice.

We were part of a group that had activities on the mainland. Our unit was under repair so we were put on the Island. Problem was you can only use your car to get back to your villa once a day and you need a golf cart to get around. We could not use the people ferry as it stopped at 6pm and we had dinner at Leverrocks which was one of the worst dinners we ever had. The fish was all dried out. The villa is very nice and we had beach front. The pools that are around are very nice. Rum Bay resturant is very good. If you want to get away from it all come here and be sure to bring lots of groceries and have no plans to leave the island. Plus a golf cart is necessary as cars are not allowed even though on line it looks like there are roads. Over all I would not recommend this resort since there are many more in Florida that are superior.

Our room was very nice...somewhat older than I expected. Decor was lovely. Kitchen equipped. Rooms were clean, but some of the walls needed touch up paint. Our main complaint was the noise. We were only in our room for 2 nights...if we had been staying longer, we would have requested another room. There were 4 people staying upstairs, and we could hear their every move. Could even hear their toilet flushing and when they were running water in the sinks. When they were on their balcony, we could hear them in our master bedroom. Beyond annoying.

We had a wonderful time located right on the beach and nearby the pool. The condo met our needs and was very comfortable as well as spacious with a Florida room that fully opened to the living area. As it is a pet friendly villa, I would recommend removing the baby blue carpet in the main living area and replacing it with tile, as a couple of prior stains were still visible although clearly it had been cleaned. The master bedroom sheets were so comfortable! We loved the king size of the bed and the closet space. The master bed would benefit from updated comforter and blanket as they were dated with a pink stain on the comforter. The place was very clean though with all of the appliances of a regular home. The toiletries, kitchen paper and washing products, coffee starter pack, and laundry starter pack provided made it an even more comfortable vacation. We were also very impressed with the yummy and tasty welcome gift basket with sweet note for our honeymoon. We loved our stay and can't wait to get back to the island!

We always enjoy the Island. This condo was short on kitchen equipment. I think it would be nice if every rental had a checklist of required equipment. It's hard to know what you can buy at the store before you come over because you never know what will be in the condo.

The villa was reasonable clean. The first floor location was a problem due to the high volume of noise from the upper 3 bedroom villa occupied by about 13 people. The three kids ran up and down the stairs leading to the upper deck, and on the length of the villa. After bringing this to the attention of the manager after 4 complaints, we were compensated. They suggested that we rent a villa on the upper level next time. There were no privacy blinds on the entry door and window making it possible for persons using the stairs to view inside our living area.

Staff is super nice. Property is immaculate and wonderful. We love the location of this unit. We stay in it regularly. Something I would like improved, but no big deal: Restaurant has the worst food I've ever had at a restaurant. Tried it a couple of times and it's a doozy! We would love to have a nice restaurant right there with good food and that serves breakfast.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We only live 23 miles away but this is like another world to us! Quiet and peaceful, which we needed to relax! Lush flora and shell and sand roads and paths! No vehicles except for contractors. Great decor in our villa/condo and very comfortable! Outstanding views from our villa/condo and great beach and pool! This was our fourth visit in3-1/2 yrs and we will be going back soon!

This was our first time at Palm Island and loved the resort! Our condo was perfectly situated to watch sunsets and enjoy the beautiful January weather. The staff was wonderful, and all of guests were extremely friendly. The property grounds and buildings were in great condition. This truly is a hidden gem, and we look forward to coming back for a longer stay.The condo where we stayed is in need of new flooring (especially at the superior level), but otherwise it was a perfect place for a getaway weekend.

I found Palm Island Resort on VRBO or Airbnb. I ended up booking the property directly through Palm Island Resort. I was looking for a condo or house right on the beach and found it. Our unit had beach views from the living room and master bedroom and it was a super short walk to the beach. We loved this laid back, low key resort. It was so much fun going for a walk or run, exploring the resort, the bay, the beach, everything. Our unit was perfect and had everything we needed. The staff is super nice and helpful. We will definitely come back. The only thing our unit was missing was some basic food pantry items such as salt, pepper, spices. But there was plenty of dished and utensils in the unit. The property was super clean when we checked in. The unit we stayed in, is a little run down. It could use some paint, a few freshen ups, and the ceiling fans need to be cleaned. But I will stay in this unit again.

The beach cannot be compared because it is what makes Palm Island so alluring. The rental units are disappearing so get there while you can but please be respectful to the other renters. We had a very restful, quiet stay in the Palm Island resort beach villa. It's exactly what we wanted, and received. Solitude on the beach and in the "village" area. Bring your groceries and eat in your villa. There is a restaurant that is better for drinks than for food latter is okay, but just okay though the wait staff and service are well above average.
