About this house rental

This listing is perfect for the family coming to the Raystown Lake area. This house is just three miles from the Seven Points recreation area that includes access to public boating, swimming, fishing, hiking, dining, camping, and biking on the Allegrippis Trails.

The house features two bedrooms and one full bath with an updated Bath Fitter tub and shower unit with sterdy safety bars. The main bedroom offers a queen sized bed, while the other bedroom has twin sized bunk beds and another twin bed separate from the bunks. New windows were installed in July 2022 for even more efficient heating and cooling with an updated style!

We strive to be family friendly. While we appreciate a good time around the campfire, we want to remind future guests that parties or large gatherings are not permitted. If the intention of your getaway is to party late into the night with outside guests, we kindly ask that you look at other rental opportunities in the area. Neighbors are few and far between, but we want to be respectful of the ones that are here!

There is carpet throughout the entire house. There is ample parking for boats and lots of room for the kids to run and play. We offer several amenities that we hope will make you feel right at home while you are here, including laundry facilities in the basement. We invite you to use the washer and dryer in the basement, but we do emphasize that the basement is not advertised living space at the lodge.

While you are only a five minute drive from the lake, you are just seven miles from the conveniences of 24-hour shopping and restaurants in the town of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, eight miles from the quaint campus of Juniata College, thirty-five miles from the excitement of Altoona Curve baseball and shopping at the Logan Valley Mall, and forty miles from Penn State University including Penn State football at Beaver Stadium and a wide variety of events at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Our unique getaway also offers a cottage on the property that would be perfect for the extended family to join in the country fun. The cottage sits just across the driveway. I've stayed at the smaller cottage on solo trips in the past and love the location. This time i brought the family and the larger house was perfect. We had everything we needed. Clean and comfortable. We did a lot more exploring of the lake than i have in the past. The location puts you less than 30 minutes from all the boat launches. Seven points is less than 10 minutes and Aitch is about 12. Both were great for my wife and kids to kayak and paddle board. My favorite part was watching my way too old in their minds teenagers chase fireflies on the expansive property. Once again thank you for a great stay and we'll be back.

This is my second review of this property. My first "5 star" review was the occasion of a wonderful fishing trip to the area last year. We dearly enjoyed the opportunity to stay here again this year! This property is our preferred "place to stay" when we're visiting Raystown Lake. We love the proximity to the transient boat slip we lease at Seven Points Marina during our stay. It's quiet, consistently well maintained, and ideal for our lodging needs. We'll definitely be returning in the future!

Property was exactly as described. Beautiful location with very scenic views. Very quiet and peaceful with deer that would venture onto the lawn. Host communicates extremely well and was very helpful. Home was very clean, beds and furniture comfortable. Rental costs is very reasonable. Plenty of area to walk your furry family member if they are a traveler too. We hope to return again sometime soon when visiting the area. Thanks to our hosts for a great stay!

We have used this renta in the past and as always it was amazing. The house is beautiful. Incredibly clean place inside and out. The location couldn’t have been better to get to the lake quickly each day. We had deer visit us each morning while we drank coffee on the enclosed porch. I just can’t say enough nice things. This property is perfect for a family vacation. Just a short 5 minute drive to the lake or bike trails. The house sits on the back of the property which gives you plenty of privacy and the yard is very big which was great for our dog.

This is our second time staying at this house. It is very clean and comfortable. The owners take great pride in providing everything necessary to have an enjoyable stay. It is indeed a home away from home. There was excellent communication with the owners. The Raystown Lake marina is located very close to this home. There are restaurants, supermarkets, ice cream parlors within close proximity to the house. We are already planning our stay for next year during our vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was one of the cleanest we've stayed in. I appreciate the quick responses to our questions. We did have one concern with the security in that the screen door windows weren't all able to be closed/locked and the basement door to the outside was also unlocked upon arrival. The kids loved seeing the deer each day and the location is great for a day at the lake or a visit to State College.

This place was great for my partner and I, our dog and my parents and their dog. Very close drive to the lake and marina, but yet quiet and secluded. Lots of deer around, so make sure you keep your dogs on a leash, but spotlessly clean and has all the things needed to cook for a weekend. Conveniently located woodpile at the driveway to buy so we didn’t have to bring our own wood. Check in and out was easy, and we had a great time! Thanks again!

This place has been our best vrbo we have stayed at near raystown lake. We really enjoyed the outdoor porch and watching deer nightly. It was very clean and the beds were comfy. This beautiful property was the perfect place for our family to spend Christmastogether. The owner of the property is wonderful - so pleasant and friendly, prompt to respond to any inquiries and eager to accommodate our needs. We truly could not have asked for a better experience, our holiday was awesome because we had such a lovely place to celebrate! The place was clean and spacious, the property is nice and private with a perfect yard for our dogs (and our kids lol) to play. This cabin was just as described. We enjoyed our stay. Perfect for our Penn State football weekend. Very clean, plenty of towels, paper products provided, excellent heat in the home and dog friendly. We especially enjoyed the beautiful view from the sun porch. The owner was very nice and easy to work with. Will definitely consider renting again…maybe a long winter weekend when snow is in the forecast.
