About this house rental
The Roche Winery Vineyard Retreat is nestled among their 20-acre vineyard estate in the Carneros Appelation, just 5 miles from downtown Sonoma - a mere 10 minute drive. This 3-bedroom, 2 ½ bath, large ranch home boasts a view from every room. Whether it’s the Chardonnay or Pinot Noir vineyards, the lush vegetable garden and fruit trees, the landscaped grounds or the always inviting pool and hot tub, you’ll enjoy relaxing at this private escape.
Located near a major thoroughfare, the home is just minutes from historic Sonoma Plaza and more than 50 Sonoma, Carneros, and Napa wineries. You will also find dozens of restaurants, historic sites, hiking trails, bike paths, spas, galleries, shops and event facilities a short drive away. Plan to spend your day enjoying the fruits of the Sonoma Valley knowing you’ll return to a quiet and very private country retreat. You can start by relaxing near one of the two indoor fireplaces or maybe enjoy some stargazing at the outside fire pit; or take a dip in the large hot tub or solar-heated pool while watching a game on the outdoor television; maybe cook up a gourmet meal in the spacious kitchen or fire up the grill for a simple barbeque; then eat al fresco next to the pool or enjoy your meal in the enclosed outdoor dining area. Live it up ‘wine country style’ at our home.
Settling In
The ranch home features an open floor plan combining the family room, casual dining area and well-equipped kitchen, in the main entry you will find a large formal dining and living room and down the hallway are two queen bedrooms and a master king suite.
The casual family room shares an open floor plan with the kitchen and a small dining area. A plush couch and love seat provide ample seating to watch the 55 inch television so you won’t miss a show or game. Or maybe the day or evening turned chilly which means it’s time to light up a fire and snuggle into the couch for some tv time. Perhaps you’d rather play some tunes on the sound system while you prepare the evening’s meal in the roomy kitchen just steps from the vegetable garden. The well equipped kitchen, with granite counter tops and large central island, provides plenty of space for family and friends to cook together or for a hired private chef to prepare your gourmet meal.
Maybe you’re more interested in a formal space to relax and dine? Then use the stately combined living room and formal dining area featuring a grand piano and wall-to-wall hardwood flooring. Light a fire in the living room to enjoy your pre-dinner wine or cocktails while lounging in the comfortable couches. Turn on the inset television to find a music channel to set the mood or maybe someone will play the piano for a little entertainment. Conclude the evening with a gourmet meal at the large dining table with enough seating for 10 people.
All of the bedrooms look onto the sizable back yard, grand redwood trees and vineyards. Two of the bedrooms house queen beds with soft linens and ample closets to store your traveling gear; they share a tiled bath. The master suite, with king bed and a private full bath, opens to the pool patio and front landscaped yard. The home comfortably sleeps 6 people, with a stow-away twin bed and hide-away twin bed in the family room ottoman for two extra sleeping spots.

Fantastic Experience
This was an amazing experience. I felt that I was living the life of a vineyard owner.
Plenty of parking, clean facilities, quiet, all the water features you could want. Great for an extended family getaway. We weren't sure whether we should see the sites or take an extended staycation. Great choices and all expectations met.

Amazing weekend!
We had an absolutely fabulous time in Sonoma! We particularly appreciated the outdoor space. The pool and hot tub were perfect. Lots of wildlife to enjoy. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked as well. We would love to come again. I highly recommend staying here.

We loved our time here- beautiful home and outdoor space. We had a group of 7 stay comfortably in this unique home. Proximity to Roche winery was an added bonus!

Gorgeous grounds!
This is a lovely property nestled on Roche Vineyard … the grounds are beautiful, vistas stunning. Pool too cool to use, so great to have hot tub to fall back on. Many, many communal areas both inside and out. The house is suffused with a sense of Roche family history that makes it homey. Owner responsive and helpful, and the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay at the wine tasting excellent.

Great house, great location
Great location - right on a winery (short walk through the vineyard to the tasting room). House had a great layout with bedrooms separated from living areas and had multiple locations to hang out. Loved the outdoor courtyard area as well.

Roche Family Vacation Home
We arrived on Thursday, Dec. 2nd. The 1st two nights it was myself, my brother, sister in law and my nephew who all flew in from AZ to attend my 60th. The house was extremely spacious, plenty of room and quite comfortable.
All 3 bedrooms were very large, comfortable beds and cozy. We hung mainly in the kitchen and family room, but their front room was amazing as well.
Easily accessible to getting around Sonoma County and the fact the house is off the beaten path and you feel like you're truly away from the hustle and bustle.
We didn't use the pool as it was quite cold and it is Dec. but my sister in law loved the jacuzzi and several of us enjoyed hanging out at the fire pit!
Saturday night, there were 6 of us, but there is so much room, no one gets in the way of each other and with the big island, it's easy to hang out in the kitchen and not be on top of each other. The table in the dining room is a great place to hang out as we did Friday night playing a card game and laughing.
I enjoyed walking in the yards, looking out to the vineyards as there was so much room in both front and back yards.
The family is amazing as is the house!
I forgot to sign the guest book and forgot to run the dishwasher upon my departure and remembered after I left.
We did our best to leave the house in the same condition as we arrived, but I know we tracked in a few leaves.
I highly suggest this home because it is a home and not just any house.

Sonoma Getaway at Roche
Great private getaway spot at the southern end of Sonoma made it easy to visit wineries in Sonoma and Napa, and it was a convenient location for the wedding we went to just down the road. Beautiful and comfortable accommodations for the 6 of us (can sleep 8 with the twin rollaways), including a baby grand piano and two fireplaces. Our adult kids enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub (a little chilly for the pool when we visited). Looking out the back, morning fog lifts and gives way to a spectacular view of the vineyards stretching out to the mountains. And we all thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting at Roche! Thanks for a great stay!

Slice of Sonoma Heaven
We stayed here for my sister’s bachelorette weekend. The house was perfect for sipping wine while over looking the beautiful vineyard and spending the cool evenings in the hot tub. Carrie was very friendly and arranged a lovely wine tasting for us at Roche Winery & Vineyard (just a short walk next door). Perfect location to Sonoma Square. The house was clean and had plenty of space and amenities.

Excellent and most comfortable stay.
The property is very private with expansive grounds, a swimming pool, hot tub, ample space inside and out for an entire family. We slept like babies through the nights and enjoyed our days indoors and outdoors. It is superbly clean and well maintained, highly recommend it and wishing for many returns!

A gem of a home
We loved every minute of our stay at the Roche home! Our favorite part was the fresh vegetable garden, the hot tub, and being so close to a winery. We felt at home the minute we walked in and can't wait to return in the future. We would give it a 5 star review in every category.

Perfect Home for a Sonoma Weekend!
We (6 adults) stayed in this beautiful home while in town for a wedding. The home is supplied with everything you may need for a relaxing weekend away, including toiletries! While we had planned to spend most of our free days wine tasting, we found ourselves instead opting to stay at the property to hang out near the pool or on the deck facing the vineyards - and ending each day in the hot tub. Coming from more suburban areas, we all remarked at how peaceful it was.
There are many beautiful vineyards near the home and it is only a 10 minute drive to town to pick up groceries or visit the Roche tasting room. This home was just what we all needed for a relaxing weekend and we will definitely stay here again when in Sonoma.

Perfect house for a wine country weekend
Thank you so much Carrie for offering your home as the perfect house for our recent trip to Sonoma/Napa. There were 7 of us and the house was perfect. It was so spacious and everyone had plenty of room. We loved being on the working winery, especially when we returned one evening and they were harvesting in one of the adjoining vineyards. We really enjoyed the tasting in Downtown Sonoma and have discovered a new wine we really enjoy. You and your property have definitely made the short list for when we return next year!

Blissful family retreat in the Sonoma wine country!
My husband and I had been to the Roche Family Vineyard Retreat for wine events before, and so we knew about the beautiful outdoor area: pool, hot tub, firepit, BBQ, lounge chairs, poolside dining, etc. What we didn't know was how wonderfully inviting and comfortable the house itself was for guests, with an amazing chef's kitchen, multiple cozy seating areas, a tuned piano(!), plus a gorgeous backyard, with a deck (perfect for morning coffee), table seating, a big bocce or croquet lawn, an apple orchard, roses, and a fabulous raised bed vegetable garden, which we were invited to graze in at will. Thank you, Roche family, for this warm, lovely space and for such a memorable weekend! We'll be back!

Beautiful outdoor space, spacious inside, and private
8 of us girls had a unforgettable time, spent at the Roche property. The home is very spacious and accommodating. However, the outdoor space and vineyard is what I loved most. Aside from wine tasting in Sonoma and Napa, we enjoyed the pool and hot tub during our stay. We also hired a yoga instructor to come teach us a class outside, which was awesome. I would definitely recommend staying at Roche family’s home.

Beautiful, tranquil property with amazing grounds and all the amenities you need.
The Roche family is incredible! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We loved the large kitchen and spacious living/dining room. The bedrooms were nice and well stocked with toiletries. The hot tub and pool were an added bonus too! Definitely will stay again soon.

The perfect vacation home!
I stayed at Carrie's home for a girls weekend in September and we absolutely loved this home. It was so cozy and the outdoor area was perfect for us. The house is well stocked and Carrie even supplied travel toiletries for us in all the bathrooms. Our only complaint was the home had no air conditioning. It was very, very warm our last night there, so none of us slept comfortable that night. Worth including that Carrie made sure each room had a fan though. Other than that, the house was perfect!! Would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful weekend in the wine country
Had a wonderful weekend at Roche winery vrbo. Got to celebrate a birthday with friends. We all enjoyed a quiet relaxing stay, swimming in the pool, reading a book and enjoying a glass of wine together. House is very well stocked especially the kitchen. Lots of places to enjoy a meal wether inside or outdoors. Enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evenings. Look forward to coming back!

Perfect weekend in Wine Country
We (3 couples) enjoy coming to Sonoma every year and this was our first time staying at the beautiful Roche Estate.
The property is beautiful. We love how the grounds are so well manicured and maintained. The pool is warm and relaxing. The fire pit, barbecue and screened outdoor seating area are perfect for enjoying the wonderful weather.
The house is comfortable and inviting. Carrie was there to greet us and show us around. The kitchen cabinets are well labeled and organized so home cooking is fun and convenient. We had a restful stay!
To top it off, we enjoyed the Roche tasting room right in Sonoma Square! We definitely recommend stopping by!
We would love to come back again next year!

The perfect retreat to reunion with friends
My husband and I stayed at this home with a few friends over Memorial weekend. It was a beautiful setting to relax and enjoy time out in the garden and by the pool. The kitchen is set up nicely to hang out around the island and it is situated on the opposite end of the house from the bedrooms, so those sleeping in don't hear a thing. We truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this home. It's a quick Uber or car ride into Sonoma as well.

Comfortable home and beautiful property
We stayed in this home with 8 women for a girls weekend and had a wonderful time. The home was comfortable with large living areas and bedrooms. The owner was very hospitable and everything we needed was supplied and labeled -- including toiletries and kitchen items. The grounds of the home were beautiful -- gorgeous pool, gardens, and vineyards surround the home. The location was also great -- close to downtown Sonoma and an easy drive to other areas. Highly recommend!

Great Family Home
We had a great stay at the Roche family home! We had 5 adults and 1 5 year old with our group. The house offers several comfortable gathering spots, a great kitchen to cook in and beautiful outdoor space. Carrie, the property owner/contact, was very responsive to every question we had. We loved our stay and can't wait to go back in warmer months to really enjoy the full beauty of the outdoor space.

Wonderful house!
We had a great stay at this home! The pool and hot tub were especially fun and relaxing. We would definitely stay there again! The home was perfect for us, we were traveling with two other couples. It could sleep a couple more if you don't mind sleeping on the couch. The owner was very easy to communicate with and was very nice.
