Nice and comfortable

We had a great stay here! The home was beautiful and nice and clean when we arrived. All linens and towels provided. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything and more you would possibly need. Nice fireplace with firewood provided. Washer and dryer was nice to have access to. Close to kid friendly attractions. The area in general is a little pricey to do all the resort activities. We went up to Lurray Caverns and the kids had a great time. Also drove into Harrisonburg and went to the kids museum there, which was great for kids 10 and under, and very affordable. We would definitely stay here again.

We rented this property with several friends for 4th of July. The host communicated with us some of the challenges due to the rain previous days. We didn’t have any complaints for our stay. There were enough pillows, linens, blankets, towel sets. Very clean and with great quality.
The check out time of 10 am was justified with the Covid cleaning requirements. I would say that this is not anymore valid and we could have checked out at noon or at least at 11 am. But overall we had great time and enjoyed for sure our stay.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this homestay, and I have to say, We were thoroughly impressed!
One of the things that really stood out to me about the house was the well-stocked kitchen. There were plenty of pots, pans, utensils, and ingredients available. I really appreciated this, as it made my stay much more enjoyable and convenient.
This house also had a great selection of board games and an air hockey table, which was perfect for keeping the kids entertained. The property's location was convenient and the neighbor was quiet.
Overall, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a convenient, enjoyable, and hassle-free experience.

Nice home, great area, and under a super management group. We enjoyed our stay. The basement is a bit over billed. It is not as nice and functional as it appears in the home description. We were in the house during three days when the temperatures were extremely cold. The heater did struggle to maintain a comfortable temperature. The fire place did help!

This was our second time renting the property. It is perfect for our family of four and our dog who loves the back yard/ forest area. It is well stocked and in a great location.

First of all, I want to say for all of you who have read the negative comments or reviews about this property: PUT ALL OF THOSE OUT OF YOUR MIND. Specifically, yes, there are going to be insects. This is a house bordering the woods, and if you consider your vacation ruined by seeing some bugs, then a house in Massanutten isn't the place for you. We stayed in February and we saw 4 bugs. 2 of which were ladybugs, one stinkbug and one that was flying around inside a light fixture that I left alone. Who cares. The place was welcoming. It was clean. There was no odor of must or mildew. The appliances all worked well. The towels were more than ample. It was beautiful, cozy and restful and I loved the fact that they not only had a wood burning fireplace, but they had laid in enough wood to last a month, protected from the weather, on the side of the house, covered by the deck. The deck is amazing. And there was AN EXTRA ROOM. I kept wondering what room I was seeing in the photo just beyond the doorway next to the bunk beds, but I could not find a photo. I figured it was just storage. BUT NO! That is an entire family room, located just off the basement bedroom with the bunkbeds. Right down the staircase. The laundry room comes off this family room, and here there was a tv, a couch, and x-box. Lots of space to just hang around and relax. Also, I didn't realize how many TV's were in this place. I am running out of space: The 7 of us had a great time!

Great home! Perfect for multiple families
We will definitely be back! The house layout is perfect for multiple families. The downstairs den and bedroom is the perfect kids retreat! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make meals at home. There is enough parking for at least three vehicles. It snowed a lot while we were there and we were grateful that they provided a shovel and rock salt for use! The one and only downside is the lack of dining seating. The table only has seat for 6 in a house that accommodates 12. We had to eat in shifts as there is no other seating options.

very nice vacation home
This was a very nice vacation home in Massanutten. The bedroom layout was good for two families with older children. The basement was a great play area and the kids had a great time. The kitchen and dining areas were very nice and the neighborhood was nice. We loved the backyard and path into the woods. My one (big) complaint was that when we arrived the upstairs bathroom smelled very strongly of mildew. It was so bad you could smell it in the adjoining bedrooms. I realized that both the shower curtain and liner were the cause and removed and washed both. I then looked at the other master bedrooms shower curtain and it was just as mildewy so so washed that as well. After that, things were fine.

Nice cabin for large groups!
It was great! Just as they have described in the listing. The cabin was a good size for our group of 6 adults and 4 kids. It was clean and well equipped. There are lot of activities to do near by like golfing , hiking and wine tasting. There are parks for kids to play around too. Will definitely recommend !

House was just OK...
House was not very clean and needed some repairs. Property Mgr responded quickly, but things addressed should have been addressed by cleaning and maint crews prior to check-in. House is in general need of overhaul. Pics are deceiving. Super small bathrooms and master shares with other rooms, not mentioned on website. Cob webs all over, ripped screens in porch, no front door window treatment so was fully exposed to any street traffic. Dirty silverware drawers and mildewed shower curtains. A/C unit dripped constantly on air hockey table in basement. House was a let down, but we managed, however did leave one day early. All of family was just over it.

Quaint and Comfortable
Our adult children and their families, along with my husband and I, had a great week at this well equipped home. We especially enjoyed watching the wildlife. Deer, birds and ground hogs visited every day and we had a front row view. The beds were comfortable and the weather was beautiful. A great getaway with lots to do nearby.

Nice Quiet Spot in the Woods
This house has 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms and it was a good size for our family which consisted of 6 adults and 2 small children. It was on a well maintained lot that backed into a forest. Temperatures in the house were slightly higher in the upper bedrooms than they were in the lower bedroom, but that is to be expected in mid-July. The linens, towels, and cookware were clean. There were many books and toys that the young children appreciated. A couple of nice touches, the coffee maker and outdoor grill appeared new. If I were to return to Massanutten with the family, I would pick this house again.

Good place on the mts
It was a nice place to stay. We needed a few more chairs, as it's listed for 12 people and there were only 6 chairs. It has a connecting bath in the two upstairs bedrooms, which was a bit challenging at times when we were all getting ready. The rooms and beds were very nice and clean. The furniture was a bit worn, but there was room for everyone. The kitchen was nice and had almost everything we needed. The air hockey table was nice. The back deck was nice and shaded. It was close to all the places we wanted to see. We esp. liked the playgrounds and pools and water park. Nice place.

Needs some fixing up
We love Massenutten and have been many times, but we would not choose this property again. The front steps leading into the house bow when walked on and should be replaced. The kitchen towels smelled mildewy. When we arrived the freezer door to the refrigerator was frozen shut. The ice maker was frozen solid. We had to pry it open then de-ice the ice maker so it would work and the door would close. The lights on the back of the house don't work, so at night there was no lighting. The closet in the master bedroom downstairs has no place to hang clothes. It was hot the day we arrived so we turned on the air conditioning. In order for it to get cool upstairs the main floor was "cold" and it was so cold downstairs we couldn't be down there. There are holes in the screen in the screen porch downstairs. The room off the side of the house had toys for kids and is great storage area but is not climate controlled. After the first day it was cold and rainy so it was too cold for the little ones to be out there. The kitchen is good size and well stocked, but the coffee maker was so dirty inside we had to soak it and clean it before we used it. A high chair was listed, so we didn't bring one but we could not find it to use it.

Terrific house located in a cozy cul-de-sac. Really enjoyed the comfortable beds and the decks.
Would highly recommend. if guests have small children, they will love the playroom located right off the main living area. Adults enjoy drinks in front of the fire place while still being able to watch the kids safely play.

Perfect Family Vacation Home
My family spent Thanksgiving 2020 at this property and it was the perfect location. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking thanksgiving dinner, playroom was perfect for 3 children under 3, and location was ideal for hikes and brewery trip. Management company was extremely responsive to all questions (we had no problems during our stay).

Our family vacation
Very nice property, could have been a little cleaner, we found dust bunnies under the bed as well as uncleaned items in the kitchen.
We were very short on towels and washcloths, not even 1 per person staying for 1 night let alone 3, but we managed. Manager didn’t answer texts or phone call about it and someone finally brought some washcloths the last night there.

I definitely recommend this place for your next stay.

What a breathtaking respite for the weekend!
,At the last minute we decided to take our beagles and children/grandchildren to go to the Massanutten Water Park. Having never been to this area or home, we had no idea what to expect. Upon reaching the home, we were first taken back of the beauty of the home in its peaceful surroundings. The living area and kitchen/dining area were spacious and inviting. It was fun to have a play area for our grandchildren to play in withthough worrying about them. Sitting on the back porch in the morning and evening made you feel like you were part of the surrounding. You can hear the brook down the hill and we were able to see deer in the woods. Our grandchildren and beagles loved being the the woods, exploring the stream as we walked our beagles there. All of the bedrooms were wonderfully decorated and restful at night. Our grandchildren loved the bunk beds as their special place too.
We will be back! This is a very special gem of the VRBO’s. We are glad we found this wonderful place for families and pets.

Great find for families!
The house was super convenient to Massanutten water park. Great set up for families with bedrooms and full bathrooms on three different floors. The playroom is on the main floor and has a door to keep from waking everyone else up early - huge hit with my 2.5yo. It was nice to have towels, linens, and toilet paper provided.
