Das Zimmer war sehr gross. Das Frühstück sehr gut. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste. Darum war es wunderbar ruhig. Pool erfrischend.
Irgendwie hat die afrikanische Lebensfreude und Herzlichkeit gefehlt.

Location is so remote and beautiful. Staying in a tent takes you right in to nature. Great food and facilities. Amazing value.
Nothing really. Not good if you don’t want to camp but very easy and enjoyable if you do.

Tasteful dinner, quiet position and kind staff
Beds too soft in the tent

We wanted to overnight in the tent and here it was. The tent was simple but comfy, everything was just fine.
After reading so enthuastic reviews about the place, its food and vine, we expected way more. It was disappointment on all these counts - place was not so special, frankly speaking, food very average, and vine also below average. After tasting it during the dinner, we were not interested in any vine tour...

Coffee machine was out of order. Breakfast was average
Expected more from the winery - tasting or tour through the cellar perhaps?

Friendly and very helpful staff

Friendly and thoughtful staf. Nice surroundings, something completely different from the rest of Namibia. Nice interior of the deluxe suite.
Great experience to get to know the local vintages and wines. Don't expect the usual heavy and rich wines from France, but something different with it's own taste. We did the tasting which was quite brief. We have not done the wine tour.
Nothing.

Lovely stay in a stunning location. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds and clean bathroom. Enjoyed the wine tasting with cheese, the staff were very welcoming, but our highlight was seeing the 'friendly' meerkats!
I was expecting a double bed in the main luxury bedroom, rather than two singles pushed together.

All very good

Quiet location, comfortable room, if a little basic. Good food for breakfast and dinner, and, of course some good wine to taste. Staff very friendly and welcoming

Thé property is really nice and the location beautiful. the stall was very kind and very helpful. We had a flat tyre when we arrived and they mend it for us straight away. That was absolutely wonderful!
The location of the estate is very remote in the mountain and the last 7km of road to access it is in a really very bad condition almost impossible with a 2WD. We arrived with a flat tyre. I was quite upset because there was no mention at all of the road condition when I booked that place.
Although the chalet we had was very nice, the fan did not work, there was no coffee maker in the room and no hot water in the shower…

Staff very Helpful and fun , Food excellent both breakfast and dinner Superb! Beer Cold glasses!
Cheetah feeding was fun.
Road to property a bit rough but did have a 2WD, pool could have been a bit cleaner.

We paid the one night before we arrived, but the next day when we settled our food and drinks bill, they charges us N$175 + vat for accommodation.
When I asked them why, because we paid fully when booking our stay, they told me that booking. com didn't charge us the correct amount.?!!???
We were not happy about this.

Neuras is situated in a beautiful part of Namibia between Windhoek and Sossusvlei. We stayed four nights to relax and enjoyed it very much. We made a morning hike, chilled at the pool (excellent pool area), had well prepared meals, very tasty and varied from day to day.
Everything was fine and what we saw beforehand on the internet was all correct, no exaggerations.

We stayed in one of the tents. Good value for monet as we could not find reasonably priced accommodation close to Sossusvlei. Turned out it was a really nice stay - the staff are very warm. Breakfast and dinner are excellent, better than many big lodges.
I knew that the tents are away from the main building, but it feels quite far from everything when we were there. Not possible/pleasant to walk from the tents over so we have to drive back and forth - not ideal for someone who wants rest from driving a bit.
Would be nice if there are more shaded rest area in the main building. The tents are super hot during the day. Typically when travelers finish with the dessert tours, they will be back to the facility in the afternoon. There are a few space by the pool but they were always full. Would be really nice if they can rest under trees or shades etc instead of sitting in the restaurant all afternoon.

The property was quiet, on a working estate and people were very pleasant. There was wildlife, including many birds, around the central area. The food was very good, although lacking in choice (which didn't bother us.) When I asked for a half portion I got one - which made eating a much more pleasant experience!
On the whole, quite a disappointment. I realise that we arrived during the 'shoulder' season, after the disruptions of Covid and were the only ones there on the first night, one of 2 parties on the second. It is also a 'working' estate which has its own demands.
However, the stay was pretty expensive for the quality of accommodation - small room, no comfortable seating anywhere, no fridge. A least the 'rustic' room was fairly cool with a fan but no air conditioning. No mosquito net - which wasn't a problem when we were there but we were just expected to spray DEET around the room. We were denied any option to 'upgrade' to a room with a fridge despite there being no-one else in but it would probably have worked out as a very expensive fridge anyway. So we had a complicated system of using their cool room to store my husband's insulin.
The most disappointing was the cheetah feeding. This was our main reason for booking but it was not as represented on the web site. We got 20 minutes of watching the cheetahs through a fence (problems for photos) not from the depicted open viewing platform. It is notable that they fed the cheetahs with slabs of meat on the dust and sand. We had been shown at another place how harmful it can be for the poor animals to ingest so much sand as there are ways by which this is avoided in the wild. Not impressed.

Eating dinner and breakfast outside. Great warm breakfast. The salmon starter was delicious. Swimming pool. Coffee and tea on the house.
Chairs to sit outside our room.
Nice comfortable beds.
2 chairs on the stoep, but no small table to put a glass of wine or water on. No table or something inside to put suitcases on. Or a small table in the bathroom for clothes.
Shower did not work well...either burning hot or too cold.
Dinner...I asked for medium/rare steak...it was well done and so tough I could hardly cut it with a knife. When I complained, I was told that the kitchen only defrosted 8 steaks for the 8 guests...they could not do anything for me.
The activities are extremely expensive for locals or South Africans, making it unaffordable.
The road to Neuras is extremely bad.

Really beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting near Sossusvlei. Delicious food!

The food and wine here are exceptional. We stayed in the tents which had comfortable beds and good shared bathrooms.
Considering we stayed in tented accommodation we feel it was very overpriced.

I had an amazing stay at Neuras Estate! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The food, especially the dinner, was amazing! There are also extra activities like cheetah feeding that I can recommend.
I would also recommend staying there for at least 2 nights. I feel like one was not enough to experience all the things this place has to offer.

The staff is amazing they were super helpful and attentive. they can also sing and dance pretty well. food was good, wine was a bit pricey but good. do the cheetah tour it was great. Spend a bit more to stay in the rooms if you are going in winter, it’s too cold!! tents are very comfy but too cold and far.
The tent area is very far from the restaurant, it was not designed properly. There is also no wifi or phone reception in that area. Bathrooms in camping area have no ceiling which sounds romantic if you want to look at the stars when evacuating but it was freezing at night in winter. had to pee in a bucket in the middle of the night cause there was no way I was going to go out in that cold.
I followed a staff member at night and there is no signals on how to get back to the restaurant with the car so I went on the wrong way with my sedan and got stuck.

The staff was exceptional in helping us far more than was expected. Delicious carefully prepared meals, beautiful setting, charming lodging, and cheetahs!

Neuras is just amazing. Super kind staff. Fantastic wine, especially the desert wine. All earnings go into the foundation. Meeting the cheetahs was an amazing experience. The chef cooked delicious dinner, veeery nice! I hope to see the wine floating through Europe soon.

Nice estate. Room was spacious and clean but the lighting could have been better. Also, some comfortable chairs outside /in the common area would have been nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had a great time. It was my partner's birthday and the chef baked him a birthday cake and the staff brought it to our dinner table and sang happy birthday. The staff really made our stay special. The road that one has to travel is a bit long but it was worth it. We had a nice swim in the pool, the food was really good, drinks cold and service excellent.
Rooms were very hot. No aircon

We loved the sense of peace in the nature. Lovely cottages and the brick faced building.
