Posizione e atmosfera rurale. Visita ai rinoceronti bianchi.
Pasti e colazioni banali e monotoni. Pressione acqua scarsa.

Amazing location, views and nature.
Lots of animals roaming freely.
Rooms are very big.
Restaurant area is very inviting and enjoyable. Nice fire places for the cold.
Much more expensive than other places visited on our tour.

We stayed at the Plateau. This is a 5 star location, with 5 star accommodation, at 5 star price level.
A pity that the service and the food is definitely not 5 star! Accept for one lady (who is doing everything; game drive, administration, assistant mechanic) , here lacks professionalism. This place need proper managemnet and training

Very nice and peaceful location, very helpful and friendly staff, cozy tent-like room, comfy bed, nice balcony with a great view, free cake and coffee in the afternoon!
Not many light sources in the (tent-)room, long walkway over rough stones from parking lot to the room and help with the baggage only on request, food for dinner was just soso (noodles overcooked, fish was almost cold),...

the only good thing of the lodge is the location and the sunset on the top.
the bed is terrible, no comfortable, the bathroom are old and horrible. the lodge need maintenance, a touch of modern and definitely change the bathrooms.

The natural surroundings of the lodge are simply stunning. We did the morning walk to the top of the plateau and the views were breathtaking. The guide was hugely knowledgeable and even shepherded 2 tourists down who had wandered up there unaccompanied. The food was superbly prepared and served by the very friendly staff and the rooms were kept immaculate.
A very minor point was the slow Wi-Fi but we found that to be quite typical for Namibia and it was actually only an issue for our daughters trying to keep in touch with their boyfriends.

We actually stayed in the Plateau Lodge which was incredible. The location fantastic. We did the Rhino walk and the Plateau hike. Both amazing.

The tented cabins at the Valley Lodge were more than adequate and the meals and service were very good.
We got lost on the Dassi trail which was labeled an easy walk! Not true! Much of it was thru a rocky stream bed with large rocks and unsure footings to navigate. The signage was very poor. Several times we had to guess which way to go at a fork for lack of arrows keeping you on the right trail. At the end of the hike there is a map of the trails and road back down to the lodge; but no clear direction of where to go to cross the watery meadow to get to the road and you cannot see the lodge. Unfortunately, we took the most obvious and really only path which led up to the end of the canyon and the spring where we knew we had gone the wrong way! Do take into account the elevation here of about 4000+ feet with a trail that ascends even higher. Do take water and expect it to take much longer than signs say. We heard from another hiker that the Giraffe Trail has signage only at the beginning and end and it is much longer than the Dassi Trail. Luckily we hiked in the morning. Had we gone for a late afternoon hike we might have found ourselves on the mountain overnight! A very scary situation!

Beautiful setting and comfortable nicely designed cottages. Plunge pool. Absolutely stunning view.
This was 31st of December and we had expected a nice meal, considering the price of the accommodation, but the meal was not up to standards, no choice of dishes and serving overcooked, Luke warm macaroni with chicken schnitzel was disappointing. Management needs to consider better quality food for this price range of accommodation. The lodge is not that far from the next town to excuse any shortfalls. Even national parks meals were of higher quality and service much friendlier.

We stayed here in the end of our 3 week trip through Namibia and it was the best choice for an end of the vacation. The location, the view, the silence, everything was superb! In addition to this, you have some easy hike routes in order to explore the surroundings.
We have nothing to complain, we had enjoyed our dinner and breakfast, the staff was very polite and the room and facilities were more then we expected.
We appreciated that place for the small number of tourists, for being close to the nature and the silence.

Wonderful game drive
No air con, 40 degrees. Solar electricity only. The greenies should come and have a look how this works.

The price for lucnch (285 NAD) was way to high

it is very nicely located, the staff is friendly, the food was quite good. there is also a good offer for activities!
the main problem was that we stayed during winter, during the night it went below 0 and it was freezing!! the tent just does not isolate. also in the restaurant, they had a fire but it was not enough since it was all open.

Food was not up to international standards. Both breakfast and diner were terrible. No veggie options.

Loved the location! Right in the middle of Waterberg bush. The whole place is designed to deliver that feeling of being closely connected to nature.
Beware that the rooms are actually bungalows with walls made of cloth. So you literally hear everything that happens outside and you cannot block the room from insects.
So I recommend to take a repellent with you, and check the bags before handing them and clothes before wearing.
We also absolutely loved the plateau hiking experience with the local guide! He showed us the best viewpoints and shared lots of lifehacks, rhino tracks etc. Warthogs and baboons were cute on the way.
Dinner is also great. Booking with the dinner is strongly recommended because the place is very remote and you wouldn’t find any restaurants around.
Wifi did not work during all our stay. Staff tried to fix it but it did not help.

The location is very beautiful both for the Plateau as well as the Valley lodge. There are wonderful hiking trails possible to do without a guide. If you like to hike this is probably one of the best places to explore the Waterberg. We stayed one night, took in the afternoon the Dassie hike from Plateau lodge to the Valley lodge and hiked back, took us about 4 hours including brake for drinks at the Valley lodge. Next day in the morning we made the guided rhino walk.
The lodge is old and not at all cozy. Dinner and breakfast were poor for the price charged. This was far the worst lodge we stayed at in Namibia.

Great location, fantastic view over the Waterberg Plateau National Park. A lovely chalet, very clean and spacious, and surrounded by beautiful nature. Wonderful staff, very helpful. I was with a problem in my leg and, in Christmas day, a kind member of the staff brought me lunch, so I wouldn't have to climb the stairs to the restaurant. I recommend the place and I hope to return, one day.
Just a suggestion: on arrival, it would be nice to have a bottle of cold water in the room.

The swimming pool is not very nice and no place to rest at the swimming pool

The location and the personal are very nice. The discovery with the rinho was fantastic. The hike treking in the morning fabulous.
The place is beautiful. And the staff is very friendly. The food was very good. More space in ouwer room.

The proximity to the rhino drive was nice. The room was spacious. As a note, the rhino drive might be pricey for some. It is about 50 euros per person.
It is very expensive for what we received, especially compared to other places available in Namibia. There was only a sweet dessert available as a lunch option. The wifi did not work as promised on the brochure and Booking website. We were also unable to pay with a credit card at checkout because the machine was not working.

We spent 2 wonderful days in waterberg wilderness. They upgraded us, we had a private pool in front of the desert, really quiet place.
Diner was really good and everyone really welcomed.

Got an upgrade to the Plateau Lodge due to Corona, excellent views from the rondavel down into the Kalahari plains. Friendly staff, well run lodge, good food, although a bit "German" (fried Kudu-Schnitzel). Nice walks, lots of things to do on your own or with a guid. Not cheap for Namibian standards, but worth the price. Good for a last night or two before going to the Windhoek airport which can be reached in less than 4 hours.
Donkeys are only heated in the early evening, so no hot water in the morning. Lights in the rondavels relatively modest, reading at night difficult. And the fact that you have to show your receipt upon leaving the gate down in the valley to proof that you paid your bill is a bit cheap.

We got a free upgrade from an econo chalet at the Valley Lodge to the Plateau Lodge, which was fantastic. Great privacy for each room, private pool, beautiful views. We can definitely recommend the plateau walk. Cheetah sighting close to the lodge.
Wifi only at restaurant area. Bathrooms could do with an upgrade to modernise it.
