This cabin was perfect for our needs when we were working in the area. It also would be ideal for a folks seeking to explore the atv or snowmobile trails in the area. The house is spacious and private with wonderful views and a huge covered porch.

Fantastic house with perfect owner responsiveness. Perfect place to ride out to the trails.
My experience was as best as it gets with renting this house. The owners were very accommodating. The trail to the main trails was groomed the day we got there. Would book this house again and again. Jon

Hard to Leave
We just finished a month road trip around Maine. Hersey being our furtherest north. The house is
immaculately clean, well stocked kitchen, and so wonderfully private with a gorgeous sprawling view.
Tom Sheehan senior, met us there to make sure we had everything we needed. He is a character and
fun to chat with. Our first evening we realized we didn’t have hot water, so we called the Sheehans,
and they had someone out within the hour to resolve the issue. Quite impressive.
The property is beautiful, and Tom senior told us about a spot where they had a family wedding to watch the
sunset. It is behind the house, down a path that curves left. Stunning view.
There was a hummingbird that came by everyday. We saw wild turkeys, and deer. Depending on the moon,
a wonderful place to view the stars.
When I originally requested the house, 24 hours passed and my request had lapsed. So, I emailed Tom’s son,
(who handles the bookings). Tom apologized, he had been out of town, but was able to then book us for our
dates. Additionally, I emailed him with questions of local activities to enhance our stay and was disappointed
when I never heard back. So, we asked locals and got some good tips. All worked out.
It is a special house, and hard to leave.

Perfect House
Everything about the property is perfect - it is an absolute gem. The house is secluded but a quick drive to Patten that has absolutely everything you could need, including tire service when one of the car tires picked up a nail on our drive up! There are a number of well-maintained ATV trails that we used for running and hiking - our 2 year old LOVED running around the property. She also loved running back and forth along the huge porch the one day we had heavy rain. The property is only about a 30 minute drive to Katahdin Woods & Waters Monument and Baxter State Park. The Sheehans are absolutely lovely people - making sure we knew how to get to the house, had everything we needed during our stay, and were more than happy to help when we called about our car tire! We hope to be able to stay again next summer!!

PEACE & QUITE
The cabin was just as pictured. It is secluded, yet only 4 miles from town. We were able to see various wildlife on and around the property ( deer, fox, wild turkeys with 8 young ones, lots of various birds including a red tail hawk. We also saw 2 adult moose and one baby off route 11 north of the cabin.) Our FAVORITE part was being able to hit the ATV trails without having to trailer anywhere. The Sheehans's were friendly, and always ready to guide and direct us. The cabin is situated on a hill, with beautiful night skies. It was unusually warm several days of our stay. We purchased 2 window fans and they worked great. I recommend this cabin for natural lovers, ATV enthusiasts, or anyone needing a respite from the city.

Had a great time staying at Tom’s home. It is great to leave right from the property and ride all day. We would return early just to relax on the back porch and enjoy the amazing view. Would love to stay again.

Beautiful setting, true to description
The house was in a beautiful setting with big windows to watch sunrises and snowfall. Plenty of room to accommodate six. Direct ride in/out access to snowmobile trails. Plenty of room for trucks and trailers in the driveway. Thomas Jr was great to communicate with and Thomas Sr stopped in a few times. Overall true to description and fit our needs.

Family reunion
The property was spectacular! House very spacious, well done and very clean. Everything we could need was there. The beds were comfortable, in fact the thread count of the sheets were the best, so soft! The property owners were very friendly and came by each day to check on us. We had a small family gathering there and it worked out perfectly! We never saw a moose but did see a chipmunk! Will be back!!

Mt. Chase is the place
Our family was extremely pleased with our accommodations. The house is very spacious and tastefully done with decorations. They had supplied us with all the necessities during our stay. The scenery is breathtaking and a peaceful surrounding of greenery made sitting on the wrap around porch wonderful.
We want to thank both Tom Jr. and Sr. for all they did that made our stay in Mt. Chase a comfortable and pleasant experience. This is a beautiful area if you want a relaxing and peaceful vacation. Kudos to both of you!
