Nice place. Beautiful spot on the lake. We chose a point half way between Acadia and Moosehead lake so we could visit both areas during the week.

This was a great camp and our family had a great little getaway. We saw turtles, loons, water snakes, and so many birds. The only negative thing I would say is the water was pretty mucky with vegetation, but once you get past that, the swimming was great. Thanks for a great stay!

Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay at this lake house. Well appointed and clean. The location is ideal, secluded and right on the lake. Really enjoyed fishing from the pier and use of the kayaks and canoe. Appreciate the use of the gas grill. Smores at the firepit was a nightly event.

Renting a lake house, over booking a hotel, is definitely the way to go. We were just 40 minutes from Orono. The property is beautiful. The house has everything you could need. The owners responed very quickly from the beginning of the process, and throughout the time we had our stay. The layout of the house is very open, and well furnished. I would highly recommend to anyone considering a peaceful Maine adventure.

Very enjoyable stay! House was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed and more. Setting was peaceful and the lake was lovely. The toys and puzzles were a huge help with our 3 y.o. on the rainy days we had. We also had a teenager, and folks in their 40s & 70s, and all ages had a great time. House accommodated 6 quite comfortably with plenty of space for lounging, dining, etc. Being able to bring our dogs along was also a huge plus. Communication with hosts was prompt and friendly. I would happily go back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the property.

Greg was very communicative and had answers for all of our kid based questions! The house has a nice little sandy beach perfect for kids, canoe and kayaks and a paddle boat, and a nice island worth exploring and swimming near. The house is clean and had more than enough space for 6 of us to enjoy. Thank you for a relaxing stay!

Great stay!
It was a very nice location and very private. Lots of items included such as towels, coffee and spices for instance. Some of the dishes were not clean, but I think this is not a reflection on the hosts. Also small pieces of trash on the property such as pieces of wrappers and fireworks left overs in the water. I tried to clean it and then found it was just too much as it probably needs to be raked out. Great fishing. We lost power during our stay because of a thunderstorm. I call the hosts and left message. They may have not received my call as I did not have much cell reception though others in our party were fine. No call back from them and the power was restored in 2 hours. They had a very large flashlight with multiple batteries which worked great! Would stay there again, definitely!!!! Beautiful property and home, exactly as advertised!

Beautiful lake house
The picture do not do this home justice. I was expecting a nice lake house, and it was MUCH better than I even expected. Really beautiful place and the lake is gorgeous. Plenty of yard to play around in. Nice big fire pit. The 2 hammocks were a dream.!

Relaxing, private, and quiet get away
Enjoyed kayaking, relaxing on the porch and in the hammocks, and watching the wildlife. We even saw a Chukar, which is rarely seen in the US, in addition to seeing beavers, loons, a family of ducks, and nesting woodpeckers in a nearby tree. The house was clean and had everything you could imagine needing or wanting. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer family vacation. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Wonderful Maine family cabin.
Very nice getaway. Our family had a great time. Kitchen set up with numerous spices, condiments, and plates etc. loved the interior of the cabin with hardwood floors and screened porch.
View was extraordinary and the fire pit was a great place to just sit and relax.

Quiet & Enjoyable Stay…
We had great communication just prior and during our stay. Hosts were very hospitable and allowed us early checkin. We just wish we had known the property undergoes winterizing after Columbus days before checking in and other must do’s sent day of arrival. Despite not being able to use some amenities we did very much enjoy our stay. We were not a fan of the shower enclosure but the beautiful views from home, fire pit, hammock and at lake front helped make up for it. Not much to do close by must drive a bit. Luckily house is very well stocked which came in handy. We wished we could have used the boats but weather just wasn’t in our favor.

We held a small surprise wedding here and the house and views were lovely! The home is open and airy so it made the perfect little venue. What a gorgeous spot!

Amazing place for a homeaway from home staycation
My family of four + 2 fur babies immensely enjoyed our vacation here. We spent many days on the water (first time ever in a paddle boat and the first time we put our 9 month, 65lb standard poodle in a kayak) and a even braved a swim or two. The house was very comfortable, especially on the one day it was dreary. It was the perfect place to read a book, take naps, watch movies, and play games (we recommend exploding kittens and unstable unicorns for maximum fun). The house was well stocked and well kept. Bangor, as in the description is about half an hour away, but if you are looking to go to Acadia or Camden, it will be at least a hour and a half drive. Overall, no major complaints and it was an amazing week. Our thanks to the Saffe family!

Great cabin with a Beautiful view
We got to the cabin after dark, but it was so great to see everyone’s expression coming down the stairs and seeing the lake view for the first time. The cabin was great, lots of space with a big dinning table, comfy beds, and loved the screened in room. My son and husband had a lot of fun with the canoe and paddle boat. We live in the city so I was so surprised by how many stars I could see there at night. I could have spent all night in the hammock looking at them! It was peaceful and beautiful, just wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful cabin.

Absolutely beautiful! Our family had so much fun staying at the Saffie family lake cabin. We cannot thank them enough for opening the doors for others to enjoy. They literally have thought of everything, and then some, that you would need or want, from the beautiful new kitchen, the comfortable and clean beds and bedrooms, the spacious living and relaxing area, (love the family dining table) and all the extras outside. We have stayed at many lakeside cabins/camps and this was everyone’s favorite. We felt so spoiled and would definitely stay here again. We (6 adults, our infant grandson, three dogs and another baby on the way) hated to leave. Everything that we needed for our grandson was also provided. We enjoyed fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and paddling on the quiet lake. The only thing missing was a pontoon. (I can dream. We did go to Sebec Lake, nearby, and rented a pontoon for a day). We enjoyed the daily and evening calls of the loons and the visits from a family of bald eagles. shopping is less than 20 min away. We hated to leave! Thank you so much!

Booked this property for a few days to get out of suberbia for a few days and relax on a lake, spending the days canoeing. It was just what I was looking for! When we arrived on property my boys got out of the car and went straight to the lake. Within 5 minutes they were paddeling together on a paddle boat. It was relaxing, fun, great quality family time spent in this gem. Thanks for sharing your home and this wonderful spot with us! ~ Joy

A great retreat
Just what the family needed! A perfect place to take a break from the usual hectic day to day. Everything that we needed was there! It was great for our teenagers and the dogs too! The canoe, kayaks and paddle boat gave everyone a chance to get out on the water, and the yard was good for relaxing. Definitely will stay again.

Perfect family trip!
My family and I had an excellent time! The house was very nice and comfortable and had everything we could need— and was extremely kid friendly. The yard and waterfront area were perfect for my two boys (2 & 5), they could play in the sand and shallow water and the adults could sit and relax! The lake was perfect for paddling around in the property’s canoe and kayaks, and we enjoyed floating around in our inflatable rafts. We had a very relaxing trip, and I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to unwind and have a quiet time by the lake.

This lake house has a well appointed kitchen, large open concept floor plan with huge dining room and living room couch. The three bedrooms were outfitted with comfortable bedding, plenty of towels, and extra pillows. We enjoyed the lake view from every part of the house!

Short Family Gathering
We totally enjoyed our stay at this awesome property. We kayaked, paddle boated, hiked then sat around the fire pit to relax. The house was very clean, comfortable and child friendly.
