PLEASE NOTE

- We do not allow weddings hosted at the ranch and we also do not rent the facility from mid-May to Mid July.
- We do not allow group gatherings that are open to non-overnight guests.
- The ropes course and zip line are an additional cost of $15 per person, per hour and must be reserved two weeks in advance of your stay. The Giant Swing requires a group of at least 15 healthy participants to be a pull team. We will be unable to facilitate the Giant Swing with a group smaller than this. The ropes course and Giant Swing are only available from April 1st to Oct 1st.
- The property does not allow outdoor fires. This is an insurance requirement and is not negotiable. It's out of our hands!

Our group of 22 really enjoyed the camp. We had 6 different families staying ranging from ages 3 to 66 and everyone loved it. There is plenty of space to spread out. The kids especially loved the pond and waterslide. The adults loved the peaceful setting and huge kitchen. The location is 20 minutes from town but the star gazing is amazing. The camp is top notch. Queen beds were comfortable, kitchen is fully sticked with anything a chef would need. Tim was great respnding to questions along the way also. We hope to return next year.

Definitely a great place to stay. You have your privacy and phenomenal views. Definitely will be back and would recommend to anyone. Even albeit the water pipes froze, they had things back on in no time. Great communication all throughout the 7 day stay!

The cabins have enough room for large groups . and the industrial kitchen is good and more equipped .
Good place for large groups .

We had 3 generations of family spend Thanksgiving together at your property. The bunkhouse & Alpine Lodge were great for our family.
The Eagle Lodge had great space & cooking equipment, however, an abundance of flying gnats and more than a few mice droppings and mice getting into food caused the rating of 3. We love the facility and with some minor corrections we would recommend this property highly.

We had a wonderful family reunion at the Cross Bar X Ranch in August 2022, staying 6 nights, with 25 people of all ages. We were so impressed by the friendly, helpful staff members who assisted us with our check-in process, the Zipline course, ropes course, giant slide and equipment for karaoke use. We loved the cabins for sleeping, and the Eagle lodge with all of the cooking facilities, equipment and seating for large groups. The lake and water trampoline was a highlight, with all the water toys we could imagine like kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, and lifejackets of all sizes. We had full use of the archery area and shooting range , which we brought our own equipment for using there. We loved being able to use the large campfire area which had plenty of seating also. The location was close to Durango so we could go there easily for side outings and groceries if needed. Overall, it was a great experience and many memories were made there; everyone was happy at all times because of the many options of things to do. We would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning another year. A huge thank you for the kindness and generosity of the staff

Our group had the absolute best time staying here. We enjoyed the beautiful location and can't wait to go back. We loved being able to use the big commercial sized kitchen, it made cooking for a big group a breeze. Thank you for opening up your property.

Our entire group of 19 LOVED staying here. The ages ranged for 5 years old to 75 years old. We loved having the ability to cook multiple times a day in the huge full size commercial kitchen with all the extra refrigerator space as well as freezer space. This facility completely fulfilled all of our needs/wants and more. There was so many things available that the only reason we would leave the property was for snow mobiling or to go to the store. Anytime we had a question a simple text was all we had to do and we would get a helpful response withen minutes. We are already planning a trip back! Us Houstonians LOVE Colorado!

We had a great time! Plenty of room to sleep. And more than enough outside space!! The kids loved the chickens and lambs. The staff was amazing. The left us alone unless we needed something. They were so nice and helpful. The only down was the beds are uncomfortable.. and even though I LOVE a comfortable bed I would stay here again because the family had such a great time! It was secluded enough but close enough to Durango . Just an amazing place to stay!

We booked a family reunion here and we didn't have a single complaint! We had around 40 people and the accommodations were great!
The industrial kitchen was awesome! We did our own cooking and everything we needed was there--large grill, two ovens, several refridgerators, freezer, etc. Plenty of kitchen supplies--I actually ended up bringing too much from home, thinking that they might not have something, but they did!
There were plenty of beds for everyone. The kids all loved having their own bunks.
The grounds were beautiful and clean. There is a large grassy area for playing games. There is a basketball court and an area with a large propane fire pit where we roasted marshmallows.
There are trails around the property that we would take a morning walk on. We saw deer and other wildlife. That was neat, but it was also great because we were only a ten or fifteen minute drive to Durango.
Tim and the others staff were all excellent. When we did the ropes course, they were professional, attentive and made everyone feel comfortable. As each individual did they ropes course, they would remember that person's name and help and encourage them. The Zipline was awesome! My 80 year old uncle did it!
The pond was so fun! There are canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets--again, everything a person needs for a fun time swimming.
The description doesn't do it justice. I almost didn't give them 5 stars for "accuracy of online listing" because it was so much more than was described! We were just really pleased at all that this place offered.
Before our family even checked out, we all agreed that we would be coming back for another reunion here. We loved it!

Beautiful place, lots of room, kid- friendly, great location, close to town in Durango. Could use a little care in the upkeep to make it even better.
