Our Solar Powered property is approached by 1/4 mile of driveway lined with 25+ foot tall cypress trees. This 3bed/2bath home is about 300 feet from our Main Home.
It has a well equipped kitchen, whole house water filter, dining table for 6 people, WiFi, smart TV in living room and comfortable L shaped couch.
Super Comfy beds! King size bed in Master. Queen size in both other bedrooms. All have TV's with cable service.
Darts game. Corn Hole game and Foosball table in the Garage. Walking distance to wineries, 6 bicycles to use at no charge, etc...

Guest Access:
There is a beautiful pond on the property that our guests may enjoy during daylight. It has its own little beach and boat docked on it.
The water fall also acts as an aeration and filtration system for the Fish. ( Blue gill and Catfish,)
** Kids under 12 years of age, only allowed with responsible adult supervision.
** No swimming or entering the pond and boat allowed!

Interaction with Guests:
My wife Hilde and I enjoy a nice chat with our Guests, but will always provide and respect their peace and privacy.

The Neighborhood:
Ballard (Solvang), the center of the Santa Ynez Valley was the first town that settled here in the late 1800's!
Surrounded by vineyards, mountains, horse ranches, farms and schoolhouses, you feel as you have arrived in a time warp of sorts where simple pleasures, mossy oaks, grassy fields, and warm sunny days are found.
We feel so fortunate to live here, closely guard its quiet serenity and are grateful for all the beauty, amenities, world class wineries, restaurants, breweries, and shopping this Valley has to offer.
A Beautiful route to the charming towns of Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, Solvang or Buellton takes only 5 to 10 minutes by car or make a loop and enjoy the scenery on our bicycles, provided to you at no charge!

This property is a must stay. Beautiful sunrise and sunset to see. We had our family here and there was so much room. The host Chris was awesome. Very helpful. Property had every thing you need. Very clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back. List of things to do. You will not be bored.

We celebrated our son's college graduation with a BBQ. This home had all the amenities needed for our family to feel comfortable and to be able to cook a meal for 12 people. It is ideally located with surroundings and a great view. We even enjoyed fresh nectarines from trees in the garden that we added to our salad . Host was very friendly but gave us our privacy.

If you ever wanted to get a sense of what it is like to live in wine country, this is the place. The views are beautiful. It's quiet, private, and a great house - love the open layout with the kitchen and living room. In the late afternoon/sunset time, we would relax on the back patio. There are some nice amenities as well. Highly recommend!

We celebrated my husband’s 32nd birthday in the Santa Ynez Valley. This was a wonderful place to stay while enjoying wine country. My toddler loved the property and exploring the pond. I would definitely stay here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. Located hilltop with a great view. Quiet and private, yet within 5-10 minutes of wineries, stores etc. Home had everything you needed for your stay. The owner Kris was great to work with. Would definitely stay and highly recommend to others.

We drove up the coast for a golf trip with another couple, trying to avoid El Niño rains late December - March. Wouldn't you know we were rained out anyways!! That being said, we spent most of our time enjoying this great house. It was perfect for our group and we enjoyed the cozy living area and fireplace while watching movies. The house was very well equipped and the host was super responsive. The location is great for wineries, restaurants and golf! Thanks for a lovely visit.

This is a well maintained property with good views. Kitchen area is well designed and easy to navigate. The living room has a comfortable large couch and there is additional group seating on the back patio as well. Garage has a fun foosball table and darts for guests to use. Don't miss out on all the great birds and the bunnies!

Peaceful with nice views, comfy beds, near to attractions. Pros: location for wineries, Solvang, well-kept, clean, roomy. Kitchen was stocked. Cons: none, really. There's a whole house fan (but we didn't know so used the AC one day). Great communication. We recommend highly.

We truly enjoyed our stay. Complete accuracy on the description. Things were even better, particularly the morning noises during coffee on the patio. Tractors in the distance, goats, cows, not disturbing by any means. Just right sitting in the sun.

We loved staying at this fully upscale home. It had everything needed to feel at home while away. The entire home was fully equipped, comfortable, and in a perfect locations… literally 10 minutes from great restaurants and quaint towns. It was very private and while sitting outdoors we saw falling stars. Perfect location and very comfortable. As good (better) than it gets!

The house was clean, roomie and had an ample amount of amenities. The bedrooms were cozy and comfortable with TVs and blackout blinds. Open concept kitchen/living room was spacious with an island to belly up to which is great for entertaining. Covered, comfortable back patio with great views and fruit trees a stones throw away. Great for morning coffee and pastries and evening pizza (Ginos) and wine. Perfect location near Solvang, Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, vineyards and other great places. The owner (Kris) is very accommodating.

The property is beautifully located with lovely views of the countryside and right between Solvang and Los Olivos. The house is very well equipped with everything you need to make meals, comfortable beds and well stocked bathrooms. The host was welcoming and we had a wonderful stay. We were so pleased with this property. The location is convenient to Santa Ynez, Solvang, and Los Olivos, making it easy to explore and easy to get back to rest between activities. The house is perfectly appointed, and the back yard is so peaceful. Great stargazing, too! I will definitely be back.

We stayed here for three nights while wine tasting in the Santa Ynez area. The house is very comfortable and well-equipped with lovely views and good proximity to the lovely town of Ballard (one mile away). We prepared two meals and the kitchen and grill both held up well. The host was courteous and efficient. Would recommend highly.

We try to come to the area every year with our friends and have stayed in this lovely home several times and love it so much. The area has such great wine tasting and vineyard experiences along with a number of really good restaurants. The only thing I would say as a suggestion is that it's probably time for new mattresses in the bedrooms. We will be back for sure!

We enjoyed our 3 nights at this beautiful gated community. The house is clean, comfortable and has Everything you need. The only thing missing was a third bathroom, only because we were 3 couples. We would definitely rent this home again should we come up with one other couple. The property, location, and views were amazing. It was definitely a great find!

This property is so special - it's the perfect house for a weekend getaway in wine country. The house itself is so charming and the view of the vineyards is breathtaking. You can't beat the location either! Close enough to everything to be easy, but secluded enough to not feel like you're on top of anyone. Kris made the whole process a breeze. We'll definitely be back!

This is a beautifully appointed home in the middle of a winery with all the amenities you would need. There are comfortable beds, plenty of dinnerware, glasses and flatware. And visits by the pups, Rocco and Ozzy were a welcome treat. We look forward to our next visit.
