Staff need training with billing protocols

The room was great. Well decorated with plenty of attention to detail. However, the wall mounted aircon unit was extremely loud. If you're used to central aircon systems at home or in larger hotels, this is going to keep you awake. I stayed during the heatwave when temperatures were in the 100s and so couldn't turn it off for the night.

I was unable to find reception because the owners don't want a reception sign to spoil the design. With all due respect, RECEPTION is the first thing I want to see after driving 5 hours, instead of trying to enter through a bunch of locked doors. I also didn't appreciate the hotel charging my credit card for a room snack I didn't consume, 2 DAYS after I had checked out of the hotel and the account had been settled. Businesses are not authorized to debit credit cards without notifying the credit holder. The fact money was taken off my credit car 2 days after I checked out is concerning. I called the hotel and they credited my card, but I think they missed the point...

This hotel has a lot to offer and it could get to its potential with a 4-star facilities manager.

The property was originally built as a motor lodge common in the late 1920s. Recent improvements have made the property fresh and charming. The local management and staff are professional and quick to accommodate guest needs.

The heating and air conditioning unit was noisy and slow to establish & maintain a comfortable room temperature. The room television is confusing & cumbersome to find broadcast programming. The two bedside lamps didn't work.

Glorious place to relax and enjoy the SYV.

The grounds are glorious.... giant trees, great lounge furniture, lovely pool area, and rolling hills to look at! My room was comfy and very cute.

Would be nice to have a crosswalk over to the bike path since traffic on the street is steady and pretty fast.

Location was great. Room and comfort not so much.

Location was great.

Parking was full when I arrived at night. Had to wedge my truck in. Bed was uncomfortable and made so much noise with a metal bed frame. First room I was in smelled like cat pee. Just thought I would get more than the other hotels in the area for more money.

Beautiful stay. too short ;)

beautiful and comfortable. staff is very friendly. complimentary breakfast was nice. kitchenette was a plus! Nespresso machines are wonderful. full bar available in room and snacks. hot toddy was available each night in the lobby(in the winter months at least).

heater in bathroom didn’t work. only give you one bath towel and one hand towel. floors weren’t very clean.

the serenity, peaceful grounds, fire pits outside ..the pool relaxing and the hotels' meticulous details...great location!! I love that you have Linus ebikes...will incorporate next time!! The local market down the street is so convenient !!!

I love this place! I will come back and stay longer.

The grounds were stunning! Several hang out spots, tables and a couple of fire pits that staff lite in the evening. The pool is great with comfy lounges with towels and pillow. I was allowed to take my dogs poolside! How sweet! The room was beautiful, spacious and very clean. Large bathroom and separate closet area with coffee maker etc. Loved it. A great place to really unwind. There's also a little store in the lobby area with treats for you and your pups if you bring them along.

Beautiful open courtyard to enjoy wine country

Beautiful property with a great central courtyard to hang out and relax, especially in the evenings under the large live oaks and next to a fireplace. Rooms are spacious, modern, and the bed was very comfortable.

Breakfast wasn't too special, so we skipped it. Otherwise a nice stay.

I enjoyed my stay and would return.

Pretty grounds, great location, comfortable room.

Pool door was broken so you couldn’t get in unless someone was already inside to let you in. No hot water to drink other than at breakfast. Front desk was vacant for a long time in the evening so I couldn’t ask for what I needed. Very little privacy and very thin walls!

Great staff

The staff were very friendly and responsive. The grounds was beautiful, especially lit up at night.

The room had a highly perfumed smell we couldn’t get rid of and the bed must have been quite old because it had a large dent in it and was very uncomfortable.

Excellent!

I loved this hotel, atmosphere lovely, very clean, Nespresso in the room, great breakfast and people very helpful and friendly! I would definetly stay here again! Location excellent, close to Los Olivos, Solvang and downtown Santa Ynez.

I guess the only drawback was that my car was not near but I didn't mind too much because of all the firepits and relaxing areas that took the place of a parking area!
