-The TV control needs new batteries. Thank goodness it was easy to turn the TV on by a button that is on the TV. The Cable control worked great.
-The bathroom could use some extra hooks on the back of the door to help hang clothes on.
-The outside of the building could use some TLC. Plants growing up through the foundation against the building walkway.
-The gravel parking area by trashcans and electric car charger, of building that has Driftwood room, is washing out by the road causing a deep ditch to have to drive over when parking the car next to the building.
-The big picture window in my room blinds would not lower down at all no matter what was tried. They stayed up the entire time. Thank goodness there were drapes to pull.
-Refrigerator freezer caked with a ton of ice. Needs defrosted badly.

Easily walkable to pub and restaurants. Short drive to Cape Perpetua Visitors Center for great hiking and tidepools. The room was very clean and homey. Not super quiet, 101 is right out the door and did get a little noisy when we had neighbors. We had a good stay.

The room is a good size, plenty of room for the couch and king size bed they have in there. The view from the room was perfect since we ended up needing to stay inside a bit while it rained. Why I gave it a 3 star rating was for overall cleanliness and comfort. They do a decent job of surface level cleaning but that’s where it stops. Although it was a king size bed, the mattress had visible divots where people have been sleeping and the pillows were worn and flat. There were cobwebs all over the space with bugs in them, grime in and on the blinds which were broken, and the walls didn’t look like they had ever been wiped down. Lots of untapped charm and potential.

The room was clean and is conveniently located to shops and restaurants. The view was also wonderful though it’s difficult not to witness an amazing view when in yachats.

Perfect view and location! Bed was very comfortable and we had a great view of the ocean from it! We were the only ones there so it was also nice and quiet. Keep in mind some places to eat are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays and some are on a fall break at this time too. Plenty of sight seeing close by down the southern coast though! My only complaint is the internet connection was very weak resulting in not being to get some tasks accomplished for work I needed to do.

Soo disappointed in our stay here. Before Vacasa took over it was our favorite place to stay. TV never worked, spent hours on the phone/texting to be moved to another room or be compensated. They said moving was not possible ( even though we were the only ones staying on our level) I talked to 4 different “Vacasa “representatives “ and all said they would call me back……none did. I am still waiting for the call about compensation.

This Ocean Cove room Driftwood was a total disappointment. Not like the bright, cozy pictures shown.
First threshold was rotted and tore up, don’t trip over it. Next rugs have deep stains, blinds are broken, window is rotting all around, drapes and lampshades stained, has a rocking chair but one back brace is missing. It’s old, damaged and tattered NOT warm and cozy. Oh yes the place you park is muddy.

The code for the door was wrong. Our unit did not have a door with a touchpad number lock. It had a key box which you have to push pin the numbers. When I called Custer service they confirmed the code is for my unit. Than god someone who maintains or manages the property was there to help out.
The cleanliness is very bad. Does the drapes to the bed are from 1980’s and has not been updated since. The drapes has huge stains on them.
There were cob webs and spiders crawling around. I managed to clear some and kill a couple but then there were these weird creepy crawlers at the doorway and windows. Behind the beds and underneath were not clean. Had to completely take off the sheets to make sure there were surprises. The bed was not comfortable at all.
The TV report to power the TV did not work. Had to manually power the TV on and Off.
WiFi was not strong at all. My Verizon with one bar was faster than the room WiFI.
The location was good and convenient.
The front lawn was not trimmed well where you could take your to do her thing.
This place need a huge facelift if not folks will not be staying here. Until then, I would not recommend folks rating here at all.
The worse part was it was raining heavy and the walkway to the car was a challenge. The gutter was overflowing to the path we were trying to walk.
Will not stay here again and will not recommend this place to anyone else.

Love the view and spacious accommodation of this room. The location is convenient. Just a small walk into the heart of Yachats.
The only cons to this room are that not all the outlets work, the wifi is slow and there were a couple of live bugs in the room (one in bathroom and the other found on the bed)

Amazing stay. I stayed here for 2 entire weeks. Just a 2-3 block walk to the most amazing park on the water where you can watch the waves crash on the rocks and even see some whales! Right next to restaurants and shops. Ac unit worked great. Wifi worked great for streaming etc… bed was very comfortable. Free parking for 1 car. It was even better than I expected!

Ocean Cove is our favorite place to stay in Yachats, just can't beat the price. This room was pretty good, heated up quickly, had good lighting and seating. If it were a busier time of year being just a few yards from the road might have been a problem. Close to everything. We'll be back!

Great Location
The location of the Driftwood unit was great, the room was clean and comfortable. Somewhat surprised that for a stay of 3 nights/4 days more toiletries were not left in room and that coffee only provided for 1 day. Otherwise would have given 5 stars.

The interior of the room was a bit dirty. Cobwebs needed to be swept of ceiling and the sheets had some old stains, dirt marks on them? Better job of wiping all surfaces was in order. Otherwise, it was a pleasant place to stay. Very quiet and easy to get to. Plenty of parking.

Nice overall!
My partner and I stayed in the Ocean Cove Loft room a few years ago and went for the Driftwood this year. The location is absolutely lovely! An easy walk to everything, including the beautiful beach. The room itself was nice overall. It could have used a bit more thorough cleaning - it was a bit dusty/cobwebby and the floor was a little grungy, and the shower drain definitely needed an unclogging. However, the linens and surfaces were clean and the bed was super comfortable! The shower water pressure is pretty piddly, so if you're someone like me who likes to feel like you're going through a car wash when you shower, keep that in mind. Despite the small things, however, our stay was very pleasant!

Great view from all the room...I have stayed in almost all of the rooms. I watched the beautiful sunset on my birthday with a glass of Tequila on the patio. Good value. In the center of town. Can't wait to get back there.
