Year round is wonderful at Folly Beach, and Dolphin Cottage makes a beach vacation in this eclectic little seaside town even better.

The cottage is named after a dolphin that was rescued from inside the house after Hurricane Hugo, Dolphin Cottage offers a light, open space to relax with family and friends. Even better, canine family members are welcome too! The maximum number of pets is 2, and there is a non-refundable pet fee of $150.00 for one pet and $200.00 for 2 pets. This goes towards extra cleaning and pest control services. Thank you for understanding!

The kitchen, dining, and living areas come together under a vaulted ceiling, and a wall of windows overlooks a secluded garden where the large deck flows through the tropical greenery. Bamboo floors and bright colors with whimsical accent walls hand-painted by the owner create a cool and easy place to spend a vacation.

The combination of quality linens, a king in the master bedroom, a queen bedroom, and two twins bedroom, ensures a good night’s sleep. The two artistically-decorated full baths are generously-sized. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking and sharing meals together, and the private garden deck offers a shady respite from the sun and an outside grill. There is also a washing and dryer.

Only a few blocks to the beach, playground, tennis courts and Center Street, with it's shops and restaurants, this house is the perfect location for being in the mix of everything that is Folly Beach. And of course, historic Charleston is only 12 miles away, where you can admire the architecture, soak up the city's vibrant history, view art exhibits, and even book a pirate tour with the whole family.

This home was perfect for our family of 4. Super clean, full kitchen sets for cooking and dining, everything in working order. We typically stay one block closer, but the extra little walk was nothing. Highly recommend, and we will rent again if available for our timing!

Our first time to South Carolina and Folly Beach. Dolphin cottage was perfectly positioned for the beach as well as all the restaurants and shops. We were very comfortable and wanted for nothing. We had wind, rain and lots of heat with even a terrific thunderstorm thrown in for entertainment. Great community, everybody really welcoming and Rita’s is a must. Had a dolphin boat trip out to Morris Island which was fabulous. Charleston is a foodie and shoppers paradise and a plantation visit is a must, so much history! The mosquitos, they were brutal, beware! Fantastic holiday, we’ll be back😊

This is our second stay at the Dolphin and we feel right at home. All the amenities are there, and location can't be beat. Spent as much time as I could with the dogs on the deck - the shade is perfect. We can't wait to be back.

Great space for beach stay. Short walk to beach. House and yard set up well for pets! Internet was a little spotty and TV service only streaming, so sometimes a bit inconvenient. Loved the vibe of the cottage and had everything we needed!

This is a lovely cottage in a great location. Walk to restaurants, market, and beach. Very clean and accurate to the description on the website. Great backyard for our dog, and she really enjoyed the freedom of the pet door. Home was very well stocked. Darlynn was a fantastic host and very responsive.

Loved our stay at this cute beach house! The perfect location for walking to the beach, shops on the main drive, playground and dog parks. This house had everything we needed for cooking our own meals for the week. The owner also left all the beach accessories you could want/need for a fun day at the ocean. This was a nice extra that we didn’t need to worry about packing for ourselves. The fenced in backyard and deck was a perfect place for our family and dog to relax on. Already hoping to return to this house again someday!

The cottage is so comfy and well stocked. It was clean and welcoming. Beds were very comfortable and the fenced yard is a plus. My son’s dog is older and we loved not having to stress her out by boarding her. Easy walking distance to beach, restaurants and shopping.

This place was just lovely- I took my older parents to Charleston to visit my son and this house was perfect for them- all one level, clean and walkable to beach or Bert's for them. I've rented many places at folly over the years and this was just perfect for all! My 85 YO mother was certain an interior decorator must have been hired to decorate this place!

Loved this quaint cottage that is pet friendly. The location is excellent. Restaurants, shops, and the beach access is within a short walk. The yard is fully fenced and the outdoor deck area is private and relaxing. We will stay here again.

We chose the Dolphin Cottage for long weekend getaway and we were not disappointed. The house was clean, comfortable and well appointed with absolutely everything we needed for the perfect vacation. Its location is within walking distance to all of the Folly Beach attractions and we never felt the need to drive anywhere. The fenced in and beautifully landscaped yard was ideal for lounging and letting our pups roam free. We will definitely be looking to stay here again. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and attention to every detail. Can't wait to go back!

We had a great time. The property location is optimal, a very short walk to the beach and a very reasonable ride to Downtown Charleston. The house if very comfortable and well appointed. We cooked our Christmas dinner using the equipment in the very well equipped kitchen. Our Son, Daughter and even our dogs are now devout Folly Beach Bunnies!

We’ve enjoyed everything about our stay at Dolphin: it’s location, cleanliness, cozy back yard, 2 minute walk to the beach, very responsive owner, swift and easy check in and all. Darlynne even had complete beach gear ready to use, beach umbrella, chairs, boards, frisbees and even a cart to haul it all in. We’ll definitely return on our next visit to Folly.

We chose this little house because it looked ideal for a week of rest and relaxation — tranquility, greenery, salt air, no distractions. It was great. The street can get a little noisy at times, as one of the main thoroughfares, but the MBR is on the back and there was no problem. Kitchen is very well equipped, smart tv’s and internet very good, and beds comfy! And VERY clean.

This is our second year staying at the Dolphin Cottage. It was perfect for our family of 4 plus 2 dogs. Some favorites are well-stocked kitchen, large deck, fenced yard, front porch, & walking/biking distance to beach & center street. Very clean & comfortable. Owner is very responsive. Would recommend!

Took our two adult daughters and our two goldendoodles to Folly Beach for a week in July. Dolphin Cottage was perfect for our visit. Close to everything. (i had rented a golf cart but in truth we only used it two times) The home is clean and has everything you could possible need. I highly recommend this getaway. Bonus the owners are so nice and easy to work with!

From the minute we walked in we fell in love with this warm and inviting beach cottage. It was beautifully decorated with fun beach color themed rooms and accessories. It took our breath away when we saw windows spanning across the entire side of the house that looked out onto a great deck with tropical foliage and plenty of comfy seating. The fenced yard was nicely landscaped adding to the tropical feel of this lovely home. We were pleasantly surprised at the close proximity to the beach and we found umbrellas, beach chairs, a cooler, and even a beach wagon to carry towels etc to the sand. The house was equipped with everything we needed to make for an amazing family vacation. We look forward to returning to this home for many summers to come.

This house was super clean, with great space and many little special touches. Loved the master bedroom and large bath. We walked to the beach, pier, and Center St businesses. So nice to have parking right in front of the house because the weekends are packed. We had a great few days and would love to come back!

This cottage was beautiful, clean and in a great location. Great backyard for our German Shepard. The deck was awesome. There were 6 adults plus our dog. The area has several restaurants within walking distance. Short walk to the beautiful beach with lots of sea shells!! We will be back if it is possible!! Loved this place.

My family spent a week over New Year's Eve at Dolphin Cottage and had a wonderful time. The cottage is 2 blocks from the beach and 3 blocks from Center Street. It's a great location for all things Folly! This was the first time that we brought our dog, Ophelia, with us on vacation and it worked out so well. The dog door and the fenced yard made it so easy to have her with us and we took her for walks on the beach every day. The home was very clean, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped! We cooked most of the time, but we can recommend Taco Boy. We had the tofu tacos and they were great. We would definitely stay at Dolphin Cottage again if we ever have the good fortune to come back to Folly Beach!
