One of the most unique properties in the region, StoneHouse was originally the farmstead of Sam Kimble, one of the early settlers to the Manhattan area. Respectfully restored, this 1860’s-era limestone estate features unsurpassed elegance in its amenities, while celebrating the heritage of its past by leaving many of the original elements exposed, including field-milled rafters, hand-hewn timbers, ancient limestone walls, and wide-plank wood floors with their original square-head nails. Our youngest son’s wedding was at Blue Vista. We did a lot of driving back & forth. We did not get to enjoy the amenities that came with your beautiful property. However, we plan to stay here again so that we can enjoy all that your property has to offer. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This home and the yard were beautiful. We were having a family reunion and needed a place for out of town guests to stay and congregate. The patio and pond area were perfect. The kitchen appliances and space were great for cooking in. We spent most of our time outdoors. It even sprinkled off and on and we were fine. Ample tables and chairs along with the firepit, Jacuzzi, lights sounds the yard and access to outdoor restroom and sound system made it a perfect afternoon and evening.

This was an amazing property to stay at and so interesting in many details of the refurbishment. Word to the wise, this property is in NO WAY handicap accessible and you should be able to walk steadily on surfaces that are not entirely level and easily climb multiple stairs with luggage. Consider taking a headlamp to aid in lighting for evening check-ins.

Whether it’s to celebrate a milestone or simply have a weekend getaway, the StoneHouse will not disappoint! You can’t help but to feel inspired in this home; to curl up in one of the fine furnishings and read, prepare dinner in a perfectly equipped, gourmet kitchen, and/or enjoy some outdoor time in the open barn patio or on the back trail. This home is impeccably decorated, maintained, and doesn’t spare on details that provide the best stay possible for guests.

Staying here was one of the highlights of my year! With the nature trail out back, luxury kitchen, hot tub, bath tubs and fire pits with wood already stocked you cannot find a more welcoming place. The check in and check out was seamless and the host was some of the nicest people!

This property is a rare gem. My family stayed for only a couple of nights, and we wish we could have stayed longer (or just moved in). The house is so cozy and relaxing, and we enjoyed exploring the trails. Absolutely beautiful!

We stayed with two other couples for A weekend getaway. The house is absolutely stunning! We all loved it and plan to make it a yearly event! Becky and Kyle were wonderful to work with. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Don’t hesitate to stay at Stonehouse! It is perfect!

Beautiful, Charming, Immaculate Stone house with spacious and well kept grounds. Everyone associated with the property were professional and very easy to work with. Quick response after heavy rain knocked out TV reception. The linens were fabulous, hot tub very inviting, outdoor patio area was amazing, interior extremely well done, spotless very clean facility. We highly recommend this property and staying here will spoil you from renting other properties! IT’S THAT WELL DONE! If there was a downside to renting this facility, it would be that the kitchen and living space are not on the same floor. With that said however, I would NOT let that stop you from booking unless your group included the elderly who have difficulty navigating stairs. There is a bedroom on the main floor, along with the kitchen. The other 3 bedrooms are upstairs with the living and large dining space. Well done property, thank you for sharing! We hope we can stay again in the future.

This historic property has all the amenities of a five star hotel. The house as well as the grounds were immaculate. The entire family aged from 11-72 enjoyed the weekend immensely and couldn't stop talking about The Stone House. We'll be back. Thank you for your hospitality, Leo

My childhood friend and I were looking for some togetherness, some solitude, some quiet, some nature, and a place to rejuvenate before heading into an active 2015-16 work and family life. We found it in the StoneHouse! The house was impeccable, along with its historical quality and modern amenities. We loved all the tucked away corners both outside and in, as well as the large gathering spaces, including the comfy outdoor patio and relaxing hot tub. Canoeing up Wildcat Creek was a highlight. We liked having the full kitchen to bring our own breakfast and lunch, then going out to dinner where we had many choices. Hope to make it an annual event!

The BEST retreat spot!

There is no better place in my mind to have a retreat than the StoneHouse in Manhattan, Kansas. Whether it be a retreat for something of substance or just time to connect with good friends, the atmosphere at The StoneHouse takes you back to a simpler time in a spot of such beauty and a house that is so graciously appointed and comfortable. Time on the patio around the fire pit or down by the natural spring pond or relaxing in the hot tub after a day hiking or golfing make for great memories and relaxation away from the bustle of our everyday life. It is a perfect spot to get away with good friends and each time we leave we are talking and dreaming about when we will be back. So often when I see pictures if a house to rent for time away, the actual place does not live up to the pictures and I am disappointed. This is not true if The StoneHouse. Everything in it is as it appears in the pictures. It is not only immaculately clean, the bedrooms and baths are luxurious. It is a step above places of its kind. If you chose to stay there you will not be disappointed. It is a five star plus in my book.
