About this house rental
Built in 1842 and having recently completed a full exterior renovation, this beautiful home looks better than ever with fresh paint, new shutters and lovely landscaping! Not only feeling pretty on the outside, the inside is also feeling the love with new air conditioning and humidity controls for the top floors of the home, a new tankless water heater and new large smart TV in the den. The open floor plan is light-filled and sophisticated with original heart of pine floors and period moldings throughout. Highlights include a super plush Shabby Chic couch in the living room overlooking East Saint Julian, a chic dining room featuring a custom table, fireplace and gorgeous crystal chandelier, and fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a butcher block island.

This house was an absolute southern dream, located in Savannah's historical district. The back of the house faces rainbow row! The house has everything you need and is very well-equipped. It's a very old house, so there are some signs of age throughout the house, but the house is kept updated and beautifully decorated. We rented it for two families to share on a New Year's trip, and it was perfect. The location is so central. We parked our cars and never used them throughout the entire time we were there. The only issue we had was that the garage parking spot was not available for us, but the owners were extremely accommodating and helped us get street parking and even treated us to a dinner to ease the inconvenience. Upon departure, we all agreed that we will stay here again.

This house is beautiful and close to most attractions. We parked our cars and didn't get in them again until we left the property. No need for cars or Ubers. Note: you do need to pay for street parking. The home had everything we needed and it was a lovely stay. I would recommend this home. Two comments: Note this is not a 4 bedroom, 3 bath home. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath with a den (and pullout sofa) which is also a small tv room so no privacy. Also, no reflection on the home itself but we asked for an early check-in and check-out for which we were accommodated AT A PRICE. Given no guests were in the home the day before arrival or the day after arrival, I felt $80 for early check-in and another $80 for late check-out was excessive.

However, there were a few hiccups durning my stay. The power did go out in one room, but that was solved after we located the breaker and flipped the switch. Also, there were multiple dead bugs on the floor and an animal Skelton spread around the stairs to the patio. These issues can be fixed with more vigilant housekeeping, so I’m sure it was just a mistake that day.

Home too hot to enjoy!
SO disappointed in the a/c “rules” of this property. Each thermostat had notes on them asking that they NOT be set below 75 deg!! The house was HOT, humid and miserable. None of us slept well b/c we were so hot!!!

loved the location
Wonderful location. Could walk to most sites on our list. The included parking garage is for a smaller SUV or compact car. Our Toyota Sequoia was too long. Parking on the street, however, was not an issue. We purchased the daily visitor parking pass for the time we were there. As we did drive our auto around the city, some, this pass also covered any on-street metered parking for the city of Savannah. An enjoyable time. Look forward to returning, at some point.

Nice house in nice location in convienent area. Great spaces on first floor for groups to hang out in kitchen, dining room and living room. Bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs are nice. Couple of flights of stairs involved but worth it!

This is a fine house for six to eight people. Three bedrooms sleep two each plus a den with a pull out sofa for two. Kitchen is modern, very clean and well equipped, although I have the same oven with the same inaccurate temperature issues. (Calibration instructions are in the owners manual). Beautiful bathrooms (there are two full baths) are very clean and well supplied, albeit hard to maneuver with more than one person. Garage is very small but can accommodate a compact car. Available metered parking is available close by. The best thing about this house is its beautiful decor and location. We never needed the car; everything is within walking distance. Only a few drawbacks: the floor on the main level was quite dirty, the drapery in the front windows is falling off the rings and shredding on one side. The main living room has comfortable seating for only four people. There was a storm the day before we arrived, so the outside patio was a mess. We straightened it up but it never was quite inviting with all the tree debris. Most of these items are easily remedied. There are so many thoughtful elements to this house, they far outweigh these minor items. The owner has supplied a fantastic assortment of books, great lighting, a little step stool for the magnificent and very high master bed (which was incredibly comfy!) Great closets! This house is loved and you can feel it. We will definitely return.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for our wedding week with my mom and her husband. This home was absolutely beautiful! The windows provided great natural lighting during the day. The home is three stories so there was enough space for everyone to have an escape. The house was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed to cook, bathe and do laundry. The location could not have been better. We were in walking distance of the wedding venue, rehearsal dinner venue, River Street, restaurants, bars, Broughton Street and more! We did have a rental car, but only used it to pick up groceries, get to the gym and to my hair appointment. The car was too big to fit in the garage, but street parking was always available right next to the house. It was a little chilly during our stay so we didn't spend too much time in the courtyard, but it was beautiful. I highly recommend this home for your next vacation!

The location to our wedding venue was perfect. We enjoyed the home very much, plenty of space and beautiful rooms for photos for my son's wedding. There were just a few comments for the owners. We do also have rental property and I always appreciate any feedback from our renters. We did a lot of cooking and although there was plenty of plates, etc there were no spices, not even Salt and Pepper in the house. The Iron in the house is very old and was not helpful ironing many things for the wedding that we needed to get a steamer for our cloths. We also found there was not enough towels for our stay which we had to do laundry (glad there was a washer and dryer) but not what I wanted to do for the week of a wedding when I needed to do so much more. I also would spray for ants and cockroaches where we did experience seeing many of these in the house. One more thing I would suggest buying a nice wooden step stool for the master bedroom, much too high and we aren't old people. These things were minor and I hope you don't take it the wrong way, your home is lovely and we would stay there again if we come back to Savannah. Truly a wonderful home.

The historic home we rented was in an excellent location - 2 blocks in any direction and you were on the parade route. Walking distance to River Street and City Market. But the home itself was the star of our weekend. High end furnishings that were very comfortable and accommodating for an extended family get together. Everyone LOVED this luxurious home. I only wish we had stayed longer. Also, Lucky Savannah was incredibly responsive to our requests - sometimes within minutes someone showed up at the house. I will definitely rent with Lucky again, and hopefully stay at this lovely home for a week.

House was comfortable. The only complaint we have is that there were no snacks, tea, & just enough coffee for two mornings. It's hard when you fly in from out of town & not know where a grocery store is. Takes a while to get your bearings so it would be nice to have something.

We had trouble with the door lock and they sent someone out on Thanksgiving night to help us. They couldn't have been more professional or attentive. Perfection!
We were a group of 6 women on a girlfriend's long weekend getaway and had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property. The home is just as beautiful as the pictures show, if not more so. The location is absolutely perfect and is located in a quiet, safe neighborhood and it is just a couple blocks away from the heart of River Street, The Olde Pink House, and The Pirate's House. This home had plenty of room for gathering together when we weren't out seeing all the beautiful sights Savannah has to offer. Be aware that this home does have quite a few stairs so it may not be the best choice if you are traveling with someone with mobility issues or young children. The master bedroom is on the 2nd level and the other 2 bedrooms are on the top floor (it was a little warm for the ladies up on the top level - I'm not sure if there were fans up there or not). We loved having our morning coffee out in the back courtyard. We used the main level living room as a sitting room when we were waiting for everyone to get ready to go out and we used the 2nd level TV room as our nightly "unwinding" space. We didn't really use the kitchen but it seems to have everything that you would need if you wanted to. We were not able to find a grocery store anywhere around but, to be honest, we didn't look very hard. There is a CVS a few blocks away where we just grabbed some soda, water, and munchies and that was all we really needed. The property was clean, welcoming, and so comfortable! The management company was a pleasure to deal with and the property manager was on site doing a couple last minute things when we arrived and was so sweet and helpful. There is a garage out back. It is rather small but there is plenty of street parking available for larger vehicles. All-in-all, we had a wonderful time and this home was a huge part in making our getaway such a treat! If we ever return to Savannah, we will definitely be staying here again!

Perfect in every way!
We were a group of 5 women, youngest being 64. This house is in a beautiful neighborhood and perfect location for getting to the sites and restaurants on foot. Plenty of room for us all to spread out and comfy living room to hang out, with cocktails before dinner. My only issues is I am petite, and the bed in the master is very high! A step stool should be provided for us petite folks. Other than that, the house was equipped for all of our needs!

Beautifully maintained and decorated home in historic district
My family and I recently rented in this property while in Savannah for a wedding. Staying at this home was unquestionably the highlight of our visit. The home is in pristine condition and beautifully decorated in a manner that is both luxurious and sensitive to the historic character of the house which was built in 1842. The beds were terrifically comfortable and were outfitted with first-rate linens and towels. The home's walk-to-everything location on a cobbled street off Washington Square makes it unnecessary to have a car. The owner was charming and courteous - - offering helpful suggestions to area restaurants and shops. A perfect home in a beautiful city! We'll be back!

Savannah 4th of July Weekend
This is such a wonderful home! The minute we walked in to the second we left it was just so beautiful, comfortable and livable. The location is perfect... tucked away in a great neighborhood but easily accessible to the restaurants boutiques and shops. We had 5 guests -1 couple and 3 singles -and always felt comfortable in the space. The owner was so gracious and helpful in suggesting wonderful restaurants and things to do. We would recommend this home to others and hopefully come back to stay in such a charming and elegant home. Our visit to Savannah was perfect in this location.

The pictures do not do this home justice! Immaculate home in a quiet neighborhood. This home was fully stocked and truly "turn key" ready. We stayed here for a bachelorette weekend and found ourselves wanting to spend more time IN the house than OUT of it ;) The location was great; within walking distance to all the best restaurants and bars in Savannah. Our favorite local restaurant was (hands down) The Olde Pink House. AND it was about a 5 minute walk from the house. We just can't say enough about this stay and this beautiful home. I know it is currently listed for sale, but I hope that whomever is lucky enough to purchase it continues to give us the opportunity to rent it when we visit Savannah. We look forward to returning!

A family reunion to remember!
We were looking for a nice home to spend a long weekend with our adult children in the beautiful city of Savannah. We could not have found a more perfect home that we all immediately fell in love with. From the moment we passed thru the front door,we were delighted with the charm and elegance everywhere we looked. We were greeted with a kitchen stocked with so many goodies along with a bottle of wine and refrigerator full of water,pop and milk. As we climbed the gorgeous staircase we enjoyed exploring the second and third floor bedrooms with soft music playing in each of the 4 bedrooms. We had beautiful weather so we spent two out of the three evenings cooking at home in the wonderful courtyard listening to the horse and carriages right outside the brick wall. It was such a relaxing way for all of us to escape from our busy schedules and just enjoy each other company. I do not think Savannah would have been quite so charming if we were not at 504 St. Julian St. I would strongly recommend this lovely home to anyone and hope to return! In May of 2013, my friends and I received a phone call that one of our own wanted to propose to his girlfriend of many years. Next, we were told that he wanted to have us all come to Savannah and be apart of the party! After the excitement of it all, it was time to search for the house for which our group could stay for the weekend. I found this beautiful listing in Savannah and I knew it was the perfect setting! As SCAD grads, we know the area quite well. I have to honestly say, this house was above and beyond any expectations we might have had. In fact, it completely exceeded them!! First, from the moment I was put into contact with Carrie, the owner, she put my mind at ease. Very pleasant and extremely helpful to any emailed questions I might have had. With 8 of us staying at the house and a group coming for a fancy dinner party, She was very detailed with items in the house we might need. Planning a party in Maine 3 months in advance to take place in Savannah in August could be tricky. Carrie was just lovely about the whole weekend! The day of arrival, we pulled up in the cars from the airport, to a beautiful tree lined Savannah street. Quiet and perfect walking distance to EVERYTHING downtown! ...The moment we turned the key into the house...our jaws dropped as we walked through the door! The space is stunning. Just stunning. We felt like kids in a candy store. As we opened each door, made our way into each bathroom/bedroom, and finally up the 2 flights upstairs to the third floor, I dont think there were words to describe our reactions. Then we made our way down to the TWO courtyards for our use! Could just die. After the shock of just how gorgeous the house was, then came the realization of how beautifully stocked the house came. EVERYTHING we could have possibly needed. Snacks in the incredible gourmet kitchen, wine and brownies on the island table, stocked cabinet of coffee and tea, an "In case you forgot" basket in the linen closet, flowers everywhere...I could go on and on. Each room was just as comfortable as the next. Even the air mattresses were set up for us with linens in place. For a group of 8, 3 couples and 2 girlfriends, we had more than enough room! In fact, climbing those stairs to get someone added quite the extra workout! The weekend was beautiful and this house was the backdrop for it all. At the end of our stay, we as a group almost called Carrie to let her know we were moving in! Carrie really has a special property on her hands!

My girlfriends and I stayed here for a bachelorette weekend. It was such a wonderful home and much better than renting hotel rooms. We aren't the partying/stay out all night types so it was so great to have a nice comfortable home to stay in where we could all hang out together and cook meals. It's within easy walking distance to anything in the downtown/historic district. We only used the car one time when we got there and that was to go to the grocery store. The house was so beautifully decorated with such unique touches. The owner has done such a tremendous job mixing traditional with contemporary that it would appeal to just about anyone. I would recommend this home to everyone and hope to return there myself!

This home is beautifully kept and extremely clean. We found the house had almost everything we needed to stay for the long weekend including coffee, creamer, cereal and complimentary bottles of wine and sodas. The patios were awesome for before dinner drinks while listening to the horse drawn carriages go by.
We rented a car which fit very nicely in the garage. It turns out you don't really need a car in Savannah except to get from the airport to downtown, and even then a cab would work just fine.
Nearby Tybee Island is a beautiful place if you want to spend a day at the beach and Carrie has everything you need for your beach excursion.
I highly recommend this home.
