Big Platte Lake is perfect for boating, swimming, hanging at the sand bar, and great fishing. Platte river runs through the lake keeping water clean. Cottage is a recently renovated 4 bedroom and 1.5 bath that will sleep 9-10. 100 feet of sandy beach frontage. Amenities include: 3 adult kayaks, 2 children kayaks, 1 canoe, 2 paddle boards, 4 floating tubes, and wifi.

Pontoon is also available to rent if interested. 4 bedrooms include: 2 rooms with 1 queen bed each, 1 bedroom with a full size bed, and 1 bedroom with 3 twin beds and an available roll-away and pack-n-play. Nearby attractions include: Lake Michigan, Frankfurt, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, wineries/distilleries, amazing golf courses including Arcadia Bluffs, Crystal Mountain, and a drive-in movie theater. Amazing location for a summer stay, feet from a sandy beach on a beautiful lake. Great location with nearby activities and attractions. All the yard games and water toys you could want. Super easy check in and hosts were always reachable if needed. Would definitely return!

This lovely cottage is even better than its pictures. Plenty of space to hang out inside with rainy day entertainment options. The outdoor space is perfect for coffee on the deck in the morning and dinners in the evening. There's enough room for yard games and for little ones running and chasing. Great beach, great swimming area. We'll be coming back next year!

Such an adorable house and the perfect hosts! Communication was top notch! The house is decorated so cute, beds are comfortable, excellent location on the lake and huge deck to sit on and enjoy the lake. Extremely clean and plenty of supplies. Would highly recommend!

Such a wonderful property!!! The home is comfortable and has even we needed for our long weekend. The location is convenient for day trips to other cities/attractions. But the backyard was the high point of our trip. The view, fire pit, beach, dock, lake access… I would definitely recommend!!!

These property had a great set up. It was clean and had everything we needed. Very comfortable. The yard and patio were nice for games, lounging and bonfires. There was even a sand beach very well kept. Great for family trips. Communicating with property managers was easy.

We had never been to Michigan before and we had a great time. The house/cottage is right on the lake. It was nice when we walked in, the main floor is cute. The upstairs had an air conditioner that was vented out the window so the window was not perfectly sealed which caused bugs to come in. This was right where the heads to the beds were. My kids would not sleep in there. I really liked the decor. The toys for the water was very nice and we all enjoyed. The grill needs updated. Needs outdoor garage lights , many not working or bulbs not in. We did have a good time. All negative things can be easily fixed. Thanks

Communication was excellent. We had rented the boat but there was a gas leak so we couldn't take it out. They were super quick to get back to us and give us a refund and we appreciated that. The lake toys were great, even little kayaks for the small children. Quiet, peaceful lake. Nice quiet street and good location tucked between Frankfort and Glen Arbor. We all felt like cottage could have been a little cleaner...not terrible, but needs a little refresh.When we got there, there was sand all over the back deck and gnats stuck to picnic table ...we found a broom and swept off the deck (wished we had a power washer for the table). Also, I know that duck/geese are part of inland lake life but there's no deterrent (that I could see to keep them away, so way too much poop to try to get around- and one our group got swimmers itch) I noticed the neighbors had some sort of mirror-type thing near their beach and they didn't seem to have nearly as many "visitors" as we did. It definitely felt like bare minimum in comparison to other places we've stayed. Overall, our family enjoyed ourselves but just think the price (even being on a lake) was steep for the set-up here.

From beginning to end, everything about this stay was perfect. Communication from the owners was great. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this home. We stayed here for the Ironman 70.3 in Frankfort. It was the perfect distance so that we weren’t caught up in the crowds Friday and Saturday night, but close enough that we could get to and from the village quickly. The lake outside the back door is beautiful and the garage is full of everything you need to enjoy the water. Beds are incredibly comfortable and whole house was clean and in good repair. If you can’t relax here, you don’t know how to do it. We will be back!!

Perfect lake house to capture all the essence of what you are looking for in Michigan. An assortment of kayaks, paddle boards , etc for the entire family to enjoy. The yard dice was actually a big hit! The deck and back yard area is a perfect setup. Plenty of space to hang and easy to keep an eye of the kiddos. Owners are easy to contact and the place was super clean. A washing machine would have been great, but wouldn’t keep us from staying here again.

We had the best week staying here! The kids played on the beach and we used the paddle boards and water toys. There’s plenty of things to do locally if we wanted to do an afternoon excursion, but we spent many days just relaxing at the house. We highly recommend this rental!

We split this property among three families and six young kids for a long weekend. It was a wonderful and functional cabin on a beautiful lake. Really nice deck and fire pit that are right on a nice sandy beach that’s shallow-sloping and perfect for young kids. Lots of fishing poles, sand toys, kayaks, paddle boards, etc on site for getting onto the water. Close by a bunch of hikes and day trips including our favorite, Lake Ann Brewing Company. Very much enjoyed our weekend.

Our group of 7 (crossing three generations) felt very comfortable in this house. Very clean and enough space. The deck and its furniture were very nice and the size of the deck, yard, beach and dock were perfect for everyone to feel involved in outdoor activities. Used the kayaks and paddle boards quite a bit. Lake was very clear and shallow far out so felt comfortable for the kids exploring. Location was very quiet. Had to drive for any services or stores (which was fine with us). Centrally located if you want to explore Frankfort, Empire and Sleeping Bear Dunes or to catch the ferry to South Manitou. Would stay again!

We had 2 families stay for a long weekend in Oct and it was great! The weather was fortunately still warm so the kids took advantage of the kayaks and some of the adults went paddle boarding as well. The kids enjoyed the sandy beach by the water every day. The house was very clean and loved the house decor. Also Scott was very responsive on anything we needed. We would stay there again for sure!

Cute and cozy cottage with lots of room for the family! Very well equipped with all your lakehouse needs! Well stocked kitchen so all you need to bring is your food! Decor is fun and very beachy. Kids will love the 3 twin bedroom overlooking the lake. Nice beach and shallow sandy shore to play in. All kinds of water toys and yard games too. A very nice cottage and owners were great to deal with.

Our family has been coming up to this area for the past 30 years. This has been by far our favorite place to stay! The beach and beautiful waters of Platte Lake make this an ultimate destination for the family. The house is so clean and bright. Very comfortable. Our favorite are the kayaks and paddle boards for adults and kids. A very big hit! We also loved the brand new deck with all new outdoor furniture!

Property was perfect for grandparents, family, and children to enjoy lake and surrounding area. Took several drives to sleeping bear dunes all 20-30 minute drives, and everywhere we went water, parks, and beaches were clean and enjoyable. Weather was perfect for this week as well. This is a very beautiful property and great for the kids. Really enjoyable kayaking as well.
