About this cabin rental

Come stay with us at one of the premier locations in the Upper Buffalo River Region located minutes away from Jasper, Arkansas, the Buffalo River and the Boxley Valley. Our farmhouse is smack dab in the middle of the best of the Buffalo being less than 10 minutes to Kyle's Landing and a 15 – 20 minute drive to the Buffalo River access points of Ponca, Steel Creek, Ozark and Pruitt. You will find some of the best hiking in our region close by as well. We are only 1.5 miles to the Buffalo River Trail and 2.25 miles to the Buffalo River at Kyle's Landing and to the Triple Falls hike. We are conveniently located in the middle of Jasper and Ponca/Boxley Valley. Did I mention the millions of stars as well as the Milky Way that can be seen in the dark sky here? Amazing!! (Our area has recently been designated as an International Dark-Sky park.)

The house sleeps 8 and is located on six acres and is set back in the woods off of Kyle's Landing Road. Because of the coziness of our home, it is a perfect place for a romantic getaway for two, but because of the large bedrooms upstairs, it would also be great for a large family vacation.

Our farmhouse was built with a lot of charm and character in mind. Pieces of old homesteads have been integrated into the design of the home bringing an old-time feel to it. As you walk in, your eye is drawn to the wall of windows in the kitchen that bring the outdoors in, and the walnut butcher block counter tops add to the rustic feel of the renovated kitchen. It is a great place to prepare a meal for dining outside on the big wrap-around porch.

You will find that the farmhouse is very roomy, and it can comfortably sleep seven. There are three over-sized bedrooms for your comfort. On the main level is the master, and it has a king bed, adjoining full bath, and wrap around windows overlooking the pond and woods. Upstairs are two additional bedrooms that almost feel like suites. One bedroom has a king bed that adjoins the bathroom, and the other bedroom has 3 twin beds making it a perfect kids' room! There is a Jack and Jill bathroom that the two upstairs bedrooms share. (We have a portable slim twin mattress if you have 8 in your group. Perfect for kids, but it is pretty comfortable for adults as well. )

Keep in mind that the quaint town of Jasper is only 10 minutes away as is elk viewing in the Boxley Valley, so this truly is a perfect location to enjoy all the area has to offer. If being in the heart of the Upper Buffalo River Region while staying in a comfortable home filled with old-time, rustic charm is what you desire, then we would love to have you come stay at our Buffalo River Farmhouse!

Very roomy and comfortable place located right in the middle of everything that hikers could want for this region of the Ozarks. Sleeps 6 adults perfectly and we had wonderful meals prepared in the well appointed Kitchen. Plenty of great sitting and conversation areas. We would definitely stay with them again

The Buffalo River Farmhouse blew all of our expectations out of the water! We had a total of seven adults in the house and it didn’t ever feel crowded. The spacious rooms and entertainment areas like the fire pit, pond, and the front deck made our stay incredibly comfy and relaxing! Every single bed in the farmhouse was comfortable and every member of our party reported that they slept very well throughout our stay. The owners really put a lot of thought and care into their farmhouse and the smaller touches were nice like the additional seating, string lights around the trees and two coffee pots for maximum caffeine making. If you are on the fence between a couple of VRBO properties, you will not be disappointed booking the Buffalo River Farmhouse. If we ever return from Texas for another visit, we will absolutely be booking Kathy’s place again!

This place was beautiful and so very clean. We loved coming back to this house after long days exploring the many trails, waterfalls, and waterways in Newton County. The next-door neighbor sells farm fresh eggs - don't miss them. You can't go wrong with any of the trails but be ready to use your 4-wheel drive to access a few of them. Jasper is a lovely little town with a couple shops, restaurants, and a grocery store. We loved the area, the house, and had a great time.

My family of six takes a trip every Thanksgiving to spend some much needed time together and outside in God’s creation. We absolutely loved this farmhouse, and Kathy was an excellent host. The house had everything we needed, and then some. It was well stocked, had nice/newer appliances and washer/dryer, and ample room for two adults and four kids. My kids loved the huge upstairs bedrooms, which even had toys, books, and these awesome reading nooks. You could easily fit air mattresses on the floor if you needed more than the 3 twins and 1 king upstairs. The rest of the house was cozy and felt like home away from home. I work as a food blogger and recipe creator, and was pleased to see that the kitchen had just about everything I needed to cook our Thanksgiving feast. We took advantage of the fire pit and tree swing outside, and enjoyed throwing the football in the large, mostly flat front yard. My son was determined to fish in the pond, despite the water being low this time of year. All in all we had the absolute best time and highly recommend this property.

This was an amazing property. The trees were beautiful! It was so quiet and nice to be secluded. Drinking coffee and watching birds in the morning was so nice. The bedrooms are big so are the windows. I would stay here again.

We enjoyed staying at this beautiful home near Buffalo National River. What a wonderful place to view the stars at night. We hiked, caved and explored nearby trails, bluffs, caves, hollows and waterfalls. After our adventures, it was great to return to a cozy, comfortable home and have a laid back evening.

We stayed here with our kids and my mother-in-law for a family wedding and had a wonderful stay. The house is perfect for a family, the location is beautiful and easy to find, the hosts were excellent communicators and very clear about what and what not to do--it made for an ideal weekend in a truly beautiful part of the world!

This was our second visit since five years. Would highly recommend for family visits in the buffalo river / horseshoe canyon area in Jasper AR. We stayed for close to 2 weeks, the farm house is stocked with ample supplies/activities and provides sufficient privacy while being able to enjoy the area.

The cabin was beautiful with plenty of room for my family. The only things that I would change is : updated pictures, get rid of the poison ivy around the perimeter of the cabin, and have more than one roll of paper towels. Other than that I liked how close the water was to fish or swim. The Triple Falls was beautiful. I would stay here again.

We have been going to Jasper to conoe the Buffalo River for years and we have finally found the perfect place to stay going forward. Private property on a large treed lot, fabulous wrap around front porch, 2 fireplaces inside, outdoor firepit, and the most well stocked kitchen I have ever found in a rental cabin. The owner has put a lot of thought and love into this property to provide a great experience for visitors and it shows! Can't wait for my next stay. :)

My wife and I met our 2 kids and grandson in Jasper for an extended weekend stay and had a wonderful experience at the Farmhouse. Kathy was such a wonderful and welcoming host, and the property was exactly as described, and then some! Located in a secluded and scenic area just outside of Jasper, we always looked forward to relaxing and hanging out at the Farmhouse after our full days of paddling. Beds are soft but supportive, A/C cold when needed, and we had plenty of hot water for 6. Beautiful and well appointed kitchen, comfy den area, and awesome wrap around front deck. This may be the best VRBO property we’ve ever stayed at. We loved it! This is a special place, so stop looking and don’t miss it! Thanks again, Kathy.

This location and home were like something out of a beautiful storybook. Extremely well-stocked compared to other rental homes I’ve stayed in. Loved the room to run around, beautiful, secluded-feeling property with pond, fire pit, woods, lovely wrap around porch, swing, and unique, beautiful interior. Within an hour of many fabulous attractions including Lost Valley Trail and Hawksbill Crag. The host was extremely friendly and responded quickly and there was a very sweet dog who lived next door that our kids fell in love with. Would love to come back to this home.

We stayed several days to explore the Jasper area. The Buffalo River Farmhouse was in a great central location to hike several of the waterfalls and visit the Buffalo River. The river in absolutely beautiful and our favorite waterfall was The Glory Hole. The cabin is perfect for a couple or a family. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We ate at the Ozark Cafe once for breakfast and another at dinner and it was great! We also ate lunch at the Cliff House Inn. You have to try the Classic Brown Butter Cake. It was amazing! I would definitely love to visit the area again and stay in this farmhouse! Kathy was an amazing host and was very helpful.

This was our second year staying at the Farmhouse for a family float trip. The house is perfect and conveniently located. Is a must book for this adventuring into the area for hikes, river floats, or just enjoying some breathtaking scenery. By the way, the host are FANTASTIC!

I've stayed in a lot of VRBO rentals and this one by far exceeded my expectations! Kathy was so sweet and wonderful to work with. But the house, oh my goodness. It was SO clean and the decor was incredible. My husband and I went with another a couple who took the upstairs while we took the main floor master. The house is quiet, doesn't creak and was stocked with everything we needed for a 3 day stay! The beds were very comfortable and the wrap around porch was perfect for our morning relaxation! I highly recommend the Buffalo Farmhouse!

Stayed here over a weekend hiking in the area with a set of adult friends. Very remote and quaint. Such a cute little cabin in the woods as well as relaxing. Only issue I saw was the upstairs shower needed to have lighting installed. Communication and interaction was A+. Would stay here again!

We had a lovely and restful stay at this cozy farmhouse. The decor is absolutely charming and had everything we could have wanted or needed. After hiking all day and exploring the area, it was so nice to feel like you were coming home at the end of the day. The owner is very talented at creating a very welcoming and cozy home. What a Beautiful Farmhouse! It was so clean, organized and charming! We loved the porch! The kitchen is well appointed and the living room has a smart tv. The Master was beautiful with a comfortable King and fireplace! The 2nd bedroom Has a King for a second couple. It’s perfect for families as the third bedroom has several beds! The upstairs is a jack and jill bathroom, sharing a shower but separate toilets and sinks. It is close to a ton of activities, we enjoyed hiking trails and the SXS park. It’s a 35m drive from the SXS park but this place is worth the drive in my opinion!

Kathy was an excellent house. The house was warm and welcoming to all ages. Even when we weren’t exploring trails, we had a blast at the house. Our daughter loved the swing, and the sweet dogs from next door were so much fun. Would definitely recommend this lovely escape, and we hope to stay again!
