Whether you're looking for a romantic get away or a family fun vacation, Linger Longer Lodge can provide you with a private elegant home base, to relax, yet still be centrally located to all that Western North Carolina has to offer.

This custom built log home has been constructed into the mountainside and is surrounded by forest and the fragrant smell of the local flora and fauna, offering you privacy, warmth and the comforts of an upscale home.

The huge wrap around decks offer you the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while listening to the nearby babbling creek. There's no better place to leave the stresses of everyday life behind and relax in a gorgeous outdoor setting.

The interior of this three story log cabin offers additional privacy. Each floor consists of it's own private sleeping quarters, full bath and bonus/sitting room. Two of the bedrooms are EnSuite.
The cabin has been tastefully decorated with your comfort at the forefront of our design ideas. Our aim is to think of everything, you'll need to make our home, yours. The driveway can accommodate three cars.

Location, Location, Location! Within five minutes you can be at The Maggie Valley Golf and Country Club. Within fifteen minutes you can be at The Cataloochee Ski Resort, Downtown Waynesville and The Blue Ridge Parkway. Within a half hour, depending on your destination within the city, you're in downtown Asheville.

Come to Maggie Valley, where you will find small town main streets, a thriving arts community, eclectic dining and the grandeur of the highest mountains in the east.

This property was very nice, exactly as advertised. The only issue was the water in the hot tub was extremely low. It wasn't a problem as we just added more water. I just wanted to let the owner know in case there is an issue in the future. We love Maggie Valley!

The peaceful setting with the porch and rocking chairs set the tone of our visit. Kitchen was well supplied with pans, utensils, etc. Having 4 bedrooms and baths was great. The children, ages 7,8, and 11 had their space on the ground floor.

Our family of seven and small dog thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Linger Lodge. The accommodations were perfect with plenty of room to relax and enjoy our week. Would definitely recommend for large families. Especially the balcony and fire pit where many memories were made.

This was a perfect getaway for our family. The home was very cozy and offered enough space for the 7 of us (kids age 18, 15, 12, 10, 3) with plenty of bathrooms and beds. The kitchen provided the things we needed to cook many meals at home but we also ventured out into the community. If you stay here or near here would recommend Haywood Smokehouse BBQ south of waynesville but a short drive. We also enjoyed driving to mingo falls and cherokee village shops. The hot tub was a perfect touch that provided relaxation for everyone. The home is in a nice neighborhood secluded in the hills and surrounded by trees. The short drive to town or amazing views were awesome. We did a couple of puzzles as a family and spent a lot of time just relaxing. Listing owner was highly and quickly responsive to any concerns or questions we had. Would highly recommend.

We had nine people from age 2 to age 70 and it worked out great. Used the fireplace and hot tub and cooked meals. Loved the well stocked kitchen. Only disappointment was that we ran out of hot water in the upstairs showers.

Perfect for 3 couples. We didn’t use the 4th bedroom but would be great for kids or a single. It looks better than the photos. Driveway is a bit tricky with 3 cars.

we had 5 couples go to see the leaves cahnge and do some jeeping and sight seeing. the cabin was beautiful and located close enough to everything we wanted to do, like shoping antiqueing and to the GSMNP. we will definatley consider staying hetre again

We loved every minute of our stay! The home and property are beautiful! The beds comfy, the kitchen well-appointed, everything was clean & ready for our enjoyment and the location is wonderful for day trips to the Blue Ridge - there is not a single thing we would have changed :) Norma responded quickly to answer questions, so helpful. We had a wonderful stay at this house. Everything was clean and comfortable when we arrived. The whole house is well thought out with extras of things you might need, plenty of storage and hooks, and comfortable beds and seating. The table is large and the chairs are all comfortable. We cooked all our meals here and were pleasantly surprised at how well the kitchen supplies were stocked. There is plenty of porch room outside and even with three teenagers everyone had plenty of space. Can’t wait to visit again!

My family and I had a wonderful time at Linger Longer . The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of dishes and pots for cooking. I loved the big bedrooms, closets and bathrooms. Even though it rained our last day, we had fun playing games around the large dining room table. Norma was very quick to respond to any questions. Thanks for letting us use your home.

We were in town for a conference and the Linger Longer Lodge was a wonderful respite during our time in the area. The house has three levels, each well appointed and equipped. The hot tub was a very nice resource we enjoyed every single night of our stay. Norma answered every one of our texts and calls promptly and was very helpful with our questions. The house is private in a very nice neighborhood, just off the beaten path but convenient to everything Maggie Valley, Junaluska, Waynesville, and the surrounding area have to offer. We would highly recommend!

What a great place. The house was just as described. Very comfortable, with a well stocked kitchen and a real home feel. It is centrally located. Making it easy to get to and from our adventures. The train in Bryson City, our day trip to Gatlinburg. Riding the Blue Ridge Parkway. So much to see so much to do. Then returning in the evening for a hot tub and dinner. What a fantastic vacation. We will definitely be back!! Can't thank the owner enough. She is definitely on top of things.

We had a lovely 3 day stay in this home, and could have stayed longer if time allowed. Norma is a kind and communicative host, readily available should you need anything. We didn’t need anything, however, as the home is perfectly appointed and met the needs of our family of four in every way. The kids were able to watch their shows and use their devices on the wifi, go for walks outside and greatly enjoyed the mountain scenery. Everything was clean, comfortable and of good quality while being perfectly situated in town. Read Norma’s thorough directions and informative messages and you will be well prepared for your trip.

The owner was a real problem. There are cameras on the exterior and we believe in the interior. Although we apparently forgot to pay a pet deposit, when the owner contacted us we paid the fee. She then contacted us about using the garbage and we corrected that issue. Then at 10am on the day of checkout she began harassing us to vacate. Since we had to take the garbage 15 minutes away to dump, we were delayed. Her cleaner came at approximately 11Am and we exited the property at around noon. She charged us s $200 late check out fee plus $35 for a broken measuring cup that we brought ourselves from home plus $125!for a broken light which we didn’t break. The house itself had several issues. The gas fireplace had no remote control or gas key so it was unusable. TV remotes were mis-matched, missing, or had bad batteries. Light bulbs were missing or burned out. Their garbage policy is impractical. Neighbors had cans out for pickup but we had to take our garbage off siite. The real problem was we felt afterwards that our every move was under the owners microscope. We would warn anyone against renting anything from Norma Rea.

Had a splendid Christmas in the Smokey Mountains with the whole family. The house was just as described. More than enough room for the ten of us to relax and enjoy the holiday…. Even got some skiing in at the local ski mtn. Norma was very communicative and had lots of helpful notes/tips that really made the trip go smoothly. I’d give 6 stars if I could * * * * * *.

This is such a lovely home. Comfortable and very clean. The kitchen is well stocked for those who like to cook while vacationing like us. The owner is easy to each and attentive with any needs. The hot tub is a bonus. Coming back with my girlfriends next time!

We stayed the week of Thanksgiving and had a great time. It was a family get together and the kids and adults love the cabin. It was everything Norma said it was. The cabin was clean, well outfitted kitchen and very comfortable beds! We went into Wayne’s like for Thanksgiving dinner and over to downtown Asheville as well. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend this property.

I brought my grown children and grandbabies and it was perfect. The beds were so comfortable, the guest rooms and living areas were roomy and made you feel right at home. Mrs. Norma was an excellent communicator and was wonderful sharing her beautiful home with us!!! We'll be back!!!!
