About this house rental
Location, Location, Location!! You have found it! You don't need a car for this one, 100 Feet to Main Street, 200 Feet to Downtown Mall, 700 Feet to UVA Campus and the UVA Medical Center. 200 Feet to Amtrak Station. Short Pleasant walk to John Paul Jones Arena, Scott Stadium and The Corner. We are also located very near the Zip Car Stop so leave your car at home and ride the train! But you don't have to leave the car, we have one dedicated off-street parking spot as well! Another option is the free Trolley.
2 Bedroom 1 1/2 Bath Modern House, probable the absolute best location for what I was looking for; a place to stay, close to everything, but still the privacy of a house! Prepare yourself, you won't want to leave...Its Awesome! We were looking for a condo to share with our VRBO friends and stumbled across this amazing little house. About 995 square feet and so comfortable.
Our home is located within walking distance of Charlottesville's most renowned local restaurants, including Mas Tapas, Tavola, and Lampo, The Local, and Junction (modern Mexican) among others. We are also a short walk to the famous Downtown Pedestrian Mall with wonderful local boutiques; live music at The Jefferson Theater or Sprint Pavilion (Downtown Amphitheatre); theater, comedy, or opera at The Paramount Theater and live arts; Violet Crown Cinema, delicious dining options, gelato, and the Charlottesville Visitor Center. Many of Charlottesville's most popular attractions (Monticello/Ashlawn) are no more than 5 miles away. The wine culture here has gained national acclaim and tasting rooms at local wineries such as Veritas, Barboursville, Pollack, White Hall, Keswick, Jefferson, Glass House along with the burgeoning brewery tours of places like Blue Mountain Brewery, Three Notch'd, Devils Backbone, Champion, and Wild Wolf are within a 10-30 minutes drive and make for memorable day-trips. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, the Rivanna Trail (located in Belmont, about 5 minutes away) and the Blue Ridge Mountains are right down the road as well and are easily visited to take in the stunning vistas.

This is a complete Cville gem! A perfect spot to walk to campus or downtown shops and restaurants or a base for day trips. The property is clean, well-stocked and very comfortable. It is close to the train tracks….we noticed the train, but it wasn’t problem in any way. (In fact, the location would make a visit via Amtrak an easy option!). Sarah was flexible, quick to respond and very friendly. I will stay again and highly recommend to any UVA or Cville visitors.

We had a great stay in this beautiful 2 bdr home just off Main Street in Charlottesville. Just a block from Main Street restaurants and stores, and a quick walk to the Corner or to the Downtown Mall. Home is very clean, quaint, and complete with all the essentials! Owner is quick to respond to questions. My college roommates from the 1980s and I stayed in this lovely home to visit and reminisce about our time at U.Va. Our stay in C'ville was made even more special by staying in this lovely 2 bdr cottage. Would recommend this lovely home to any C'ville visitor. We will definitely stay again!

As others have stated and we agree- the location is great. It’s an easy walk to many nice restaurants and shops. The house is clean and cozy. Although the train tracks are nearby, we were never bothered by the noise. The area is quiet and the neighbors are friendly. Sarah is incredibly responsive and made our time there easy. We will be back.

Our family of four and our small, well-behaved dog stayed here over the winter holidays so we could visit my parents in Charlottesville and have space to call our own. The house suited our needs well, and easy access to downtown was awesome. Check-in and check-out processes were simple and allowed us to arrive late in the evening and leave early on our last morning.
There are a couple of quirks with the house (a finicky bedroom lamp, a queen-size mattress on a king-size frame?), but overall it was great and just what we needed. If you're a light sleeper, proximity to the train tracks could wake you up at night or an early train might have you ready for an Albemarle Baking Company pastry just a wee bit earlier than usual. Likewise, if you arrive in town via train, the house is within walking distance of the station.

Fantastic location in Charlottesville! Easy walk to downtown restaurants, breweries and shops. Sarah(owner) was amazing to communicate with before and during our stay. She gave us suggestions on places to eat and was great about accommodating an early check-in due to a last minute work issue.
I highly recommend making reservations if you know where you want to eat in Charlottesville. We found that trying to get into a place for dinner and even breakfast on the weekend, was more difficult than we expected at many restaurants.
The house was cute and perfect for two couples! Bedrooms were a good size with storage area to unpack our clothing for a few days. Plenty of towels to use for showers and the kitchen was fully stocked with what we needed for our 3 night stay.
The only negative is there are train tracks about 100 yards from the house and the train comes through every morning sometime between 2am-4am, but we were always able to fall back to sleep.

I stayed here with my fiancé and my parents. It was an excellent choice. We could easily walk to downtown, and it is right by our favorite diner, Blue Moon Diner. Highly recommend.

If you want a house that’s very close to downtown, UVA, restaurants, bars etc. this is the one for you. We really enjoyed our stay and found only a couple minor issues. The second bedroom mattress is worn out, the TV Wi-Fi fails constantly and the master bedroom TV would never connect. These issues didn’t overshadow the good and we’d book again for sure.

We had some initial confusion with our arrival, but property manager was very responsive and was able to sort out quickly. Location is very quiet but easy walk to great restaurants, UVA campus and downtown mall.
Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had all the basics.
WiFi was erratic.

Great house for our family (2 adults, 2 toddlers)! Super comfy and perfect location! The little cottage community was nice and friendly. The electricity turned off for just a few minutes from a storm. A neighbor stopped by to give us flashlights in case it went out again. We are talking about staying here again when we come back for a football and/or basketball game!

I thought the property was much nicer than the photos online. The owner should update the photos I think because the house was newly painted and from the photos the house kinda looks more rundown. Some minor complaints: the AC was locked at 73° so it never felt cold and was hard to cool off, I saw small ants in main bedroom near the door leading to outside so owner may want to spray the area or make sure door is sealed completely, and there is a train that goes by at odd hours and is pretty loud so just be aware if that kinda thing bothers you. I don’t think the train ever woke me up but I did hear it randomly for those light sleepers. Location is great and super close to downtown area. I felt safe walking back late at night by myself. Overall I would recommend staying here for the price compared to the hotels in the area which aren’t even that nice and charge so much more.

This rental is excellent. The house was very clean, with a well-stocked kitchen (plenty of cooking supplies). On top of that, the downtown area was less than 10 minutes walk away. Other great spots were a quick drive away. The owner was responsive and kind. I would recommend this rental to anyone visiting Charlottesville!

Great spot for a few days in Charlottesville, easy access to everything in the area. Walking distance from a number of very nice coffee shops and restaurants.
Owner/Property Manager was very easy to reach and quick to respond when we had to add some time on the back end of our stay. We will book it again the next time we're in town.

Wonderful house in a convenient location!
We loved staying at this house! My husband and I stayed with our 8 month old and our dog, and this was a perfect house to spend a few days in Cville. It's close to downtown and many restaurants, coffee shops, etc on the main street, and we had no problem finding places that were open even on the 4th of July. It was also a great location to go on a hike in Shenandoah. Would highly recommend this place!

Awesome!
My husband and I shared this house with his mother and uncle while we were in town for a wedding. After we split the cost it was cheaper than a hotel. The location was walkable to most restaurants and hotels where we needed to attend events. We would stay again!

Wedding First Time Charlottesville
Great location close to everything downtown. Neighborhood was safe and friendly. We had 2 cars so had to find parking on street but it was a short walk and no problems. Unit was clean and had everything we needed. Pull out sofa mattress is probably only really good for a child. It was not very comfortable for my 20 year old son or 15 year old daughter. All communication was spot, no surprises and all went smoothly.

We had a girls weekend with five girls. The property was even better than the pictures. The house was really clean and the neighborhood quaint and quiet. We were able to easily walk to the mall for meals and drinks. Sarah was easy to work with before the trip and we didn't need to contact her at all. Thanks for letting us stay at your cute little house!

We had another great stay at this charming property. Perfectly suits our family of 4 and small dog. Bring ear plugs as the train rumbled by around 6:30am. Super walkable to lots of wonderful cafes, restaurants and shops!
