About this house rental
Our lovely townhouse is an incredible 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath two story home situated on a giant open space meadow near Tahoe City and only a short walk through the woods to the sandy beaches of Lake Tahoe. The Lake Forest Glen complex includes 2 pools, 4 tennis courts and a recently renovated hot tub and sauna. The grounds are incredibly beautiful with many pines, aspens and annual flowers. We are right next to the bike trail that takes you into Tahoe City and along the West Shore or up along the Truckee River. We are close to skiing at Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, and Homewood; ice skating at Squaw Valley, and lots of opportunities for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, and snowball fights!
Ours is a two-story end unit with lots of light and privacy! The master suite has its own bathroom, walk-in closet and overlooks the meadow. Our furnishings are comfortable and represent the true mountain ambiance you desire for your home away from home! There are knotty pine floors and trim, a stone fireplace, a recently redone kitchen with granite counters, hickory cabinets and all new appliances (gas stove, stainless side by side fridge with icemaker and water in door, dishwasher, disposal, etc) full separate laundry room...all overlooking the fabulous view!
We have a flat screen HD TV, streaming DVD player, and high speed wireless internet. Our deck overlooks the meadow and has an all-weather table and chairs as well as a propane BBQ. The deck is south and west facing, so it is great for sunning, entertaining and watching great sunsets. We have a lockable ski locker for all your gear just outside the front entrance to make getting to and from the slopes easier!
This is the perfect place for you and your family to enjoy an easy and affordable vacation; everything you need to have fun and relax is right here!

This townhouse is very functional with its layout and proximity to the pool and lake. It’s a great location in North Lake Tahoe with easy access to the town, Truckee River, city of Truckee, hikes, etc. The townhouse is clean but is older. It had everything we needed for our trip. One tip - if it’s a hot week in the summer, bring fans for each room. It usually cools off at night but our week was really warm so the house didn’t cool off as much. A fan would’ve been helpful.Great stay!!

This condo was the perfect location for heading to Palisades Tahoe to ski for the day. It was a 10 minute walk to the shore of the lake. Restaurants and the grocery store were a short drive away. We enjoyed the community hot tub after spending a day on the slopes.

this rental is fantastic! the pictures don't do it justice. it's perfect for a large family or two small families with kids. the beds are comfy, the mountain decor cute, and the kitchen/dining room perfect for eating in. it backs onto an open meadow which was fun for playing in the snow. the reverse commute to alpine/palisdaes makes it easier than truckee. there's a safeway and CVS just 5 minutes drive away.

This property has an ideal location for the entire Lake Tahoe region. It is conveniently located to MANY great hikes, destination spots, sandy beaches, restaurants, shopping, etc. The townhouse community has a nice pool, hot tub, pickle ball courts, etc. Convenient grocery shopping at Safeway in Tahoe City. Lots of wildlife in the meadow... coyotes, foxes, ground squirrels, blue jays, and BEARS! Very exciting to see the bears (although they ultimately were headed to try to get a snack from the dumpsters).
Whiile we were very pleased with the location, the property desparately needs a thorough deep cleaning and we were very disappointed in that regard. Hasn't seen fresh paint in 20 years. Carpeting is beyond filthy and needs replacement. Cobwebs on sad old draperies. Dryer vent was clogged and prevented proper/safe usage. Kitchen amenities were very good except for kitchen sink faucet (no water pressure). The hallway shower faucet did not function properly. The shower in the master bedroom was way too small and so dirty we did not want to use it. It got hot during our stay, July 20 - 27, and there are no box fans or ceiling fans. Fortunately, overnight temperatures got into the 50's, so sleeping with the windows open made it tolerable.
Nearby Sugar Pine Bakery was outstanding. Za's Restaurant very good. Tahoe City Brewing Co. Restaurant very good. Rosie's Cafe excellent.

This was our second stay in this cozy family oriented Townhouse for a trip to the snow. Lots of space in the house for our family of five. Kitchen is equipped with anything you need to make a hot breakfast or dinner. Big family room for a game night and a fire. The owner is very responsive to any questions or issues. The house is located very central to anything you need (safeway, pizza, bakery, etc) and close to lots of ski resorts and family oriented snow play areas (Granlibakken, North Lake Tahoe regional park for sledding). Kids loved to play in the big snow field right behind the house. We enjoyed our stay!

Came out from UT for a ski vacation and had epic snow—so much we couldn’t ski! Patty was so wonderful and responsive. We loved the location, and the fact that the HOA was super attentive to snow clearing. Our favorite “extra” was the peanuts left to feed the jays, who knew every morning they could come fight for some and I could take pictures. Comfortable bed and well stocked kitchen. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed the location and the property is in a great location. As mentioned the internet was slow and only worked about 30% of the time. (So you won’t streaming anything). For the current cleaning fee cleaning fee the property isn’t nearly clean enough, for a third the price I wouldn’t mention it.

Patty was great at communicating in a timely manner regarding access to the townhouse. Upon arrival it was obvious that the home is well maintained and kept up. With more than enough supplies in the kitchen and bathrooms to get you through the stay. Access to everything was easy. I cannot say enough how great it was to take a short 8 minute walk to Lake forest beach. Breathtaking view of the lake and beautiful wildflowers. I would definitely recommend this townhouse to all!

Amazing place to stay!
We were delighted with the decor. We were amazed that with a small footprint there was so much room for us (3 adult women). We loved the location in the complex - a meadow view from the kitchen table. We even saw two bears. The host had the place stocked with more than we expected- beach chairs, cooler, kids beach toys, games. etc
We had a small issue with the shower and the host was very responsive. The location in the complex was perfect - loved the meadow, pool nearby (but we were too busy kayaking and hiking to use it - even though close by the noise was not bothersome) - very quiet at night. A wonderful stay. We . love. Tahoe

Loved our stay here! The location was perfect for a week of skiing at Palisades and Alpine. Hot tub was fun and a short walk from the front door, and the lake is a short walk away as well. Smokey Weekend
This condo is perfect for a wonderful time away with family or friends. The kitchen has everything you could want or need. The bedrooms are all so cozy & comfortable. Unfortunately we had to cut our weekend short because of the heavy dense smoke from the wild fires but Patricia went over & above to make it right for us. She’s amazing!! Thank you again Patricia & we will be back to stay in your beautiful condo.

terrific condo with great view off deck of large meadow with creek running through it. Very quiet neighborhood and property, but good activity in the heated family pool. We didn't utilize the "quiet" pool or hot tub, but it looked nice. 6 of us stayed here and there was plenty of room, although 2 kiddos did share a queen bed. Kitchen has everything needed for food prep, propane grill on deck worked great. Easy walk to public access on lake, but it is a walk - a bit under 1/2 mile. Short drive to Tahoe City shopping/dining. Long drive but worth it to Emerald Bay State Park - depends on traffic, but 45 minute drive plus or minus. Burton Creek state park is right across the road - not crowded but the area I went to was not terribly interesting either. Be sure to call property security or HOA office early and often if anyone is parked behind the unit when you arrive - the property is not gated and the area behind this unit is an attractive stealth RV spot.

The place was so easy to find and clean inside. It was very equipped with what I needed. Grocery store was close by and convenient. The lake was near by also but bring water shoes. The pool was just outside the door and neighbors were very nice . I would love to stay again.
