About this house rental
Our lake house is on pristine and peaceful Toddy Pond. There is an excellent view of the pond from the front porch which is 75 feet from the water and you will get excellent sunset views. There is enough room between us and the neighbor's homes to allow for privacy.
The water access is one of the best on the pond. It has a sandy bottom and gradual- very safe for children. Most properties have steep, rocky or muddy access or from a dock.
There is also a float anchored out from shore which is great to swim to, sunbathe, and older children love to dive or jump off it.
We have 5 kayaks, a canoe, a windsurfer and a small rowboat for fishing. We ask renters to sign a liability waiver if they use any of the watercraft. Most rental properties don't have watercraft. There are organic blueberries to pick mid summer in our fields along the road behind the cottage.
The front yard by the water has a nice area with comfortable chairs, portable fire pit, gas grill, picnic table and hammock.
The open floor plan of the house allows plenty of room for socializing.
We welcome well behaved dogs which don't bark. There is a $100 fee if you bring a dog.
We have installed an automatic generator which is necessary if the power goes out due to occasional intense summer storms due to climate change. Most rental houses don't have this feature.
You won't see many reviews because we have an 80% return rate.

We enjoyed our weeklong stay here very much. This well-kept cabin has everything you could possibly need. Although it was only my wife and I, this would be a great place for a large family.
Only a few steps to the pond with kayaks, canoe and a rowboat available to use. Although they call this a pond in Maine, it is larger than many lakes in my home state of Pennsylvania.
Although we did not meet the host, he was available and attentive to our needs. communication was good.
I can certainly recommend a stay at the Lake House!

The Toddy Pond cabin is absolutely lovely and super clean. Surrounded by a beautiful woods on this clear pond which is great for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and watching sunsets; it is a treasure. We look forward to returning!

A really lovely spot and we feel lucky to have found it. My family and friends had a perfectly relaxing week here. We felt comfortable in the cottage right from the get go. Loved the screened in bedrooms for sleeping and the swimming was divine. The kids made sure to paddle over to the “jumping rock” at least once a day. We hope to return!

Enjoyed the large screened in porch and open floor plan with the kitchen and living room. Plenty of room for large group. Appreciated that it was pet friendly and access to swimming on the pond. Quiet lake with loons as the main attraction. Two bedrooms are basically screened in porches, which we enjoyed as a different rustic experience. Bob was very accessible. Kyaks and canoes available for use. Had everything we needed.

Large 4 bedroom camp on a beautiful pond. Well stocked with supplies, from plentiful towels to everyday kitchen needs. Great assortment of water craft with life jackets and paddles. Lots of games, toys, puzzles, etc. Perfect for a family vacation.

A wonderful house/cabin on Toddy Pond (actually a pretty big lake). A nice location between Acadia/Bar Harbor and Bangor.
The host gave good information and was easy to communicate with.
Lots of kayaks and a canoe available for use on the lake.
House has a well equipped kitchen so you only need to bring what you will eat/drink. Good beds (can sleep 8). The large screened front porch was great to lounge and eat dinner, etc. For cool/cold nights, a wood burning stove is available (with wood provided) to warm things up.
We had a nice week there and would choose this house/location again.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for some relaxation and offered unique experiences like swimming on the pond and taking the kayaks out. We enjoyed staying in on a cold night around the wood stove reading a book.
One point that I did not realize was the two downstairs bedrooms were screened in windows with no glass. So they were partially open to the elements. If you are comfortable with that, it offers a cool sleeping experience.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the house. :)

We had a wonderfully relaxing time at the camp. It was so great to have kayaks (as well as canoe , wind surfers and row boat -which we didn’t use)to explore the lake. Bob was readily available for any questions we had. Would definitely recommend this peaceful spot!

This was our first trip to Maine and it ended up being one of our best vacations. Maine is beautiful and as well was our “camp”. I was a like apprehensive about the two bedrooms on the first floor, but to our surprise it was very pleasant. The setting was quiet and remote, yet close enough to see what we came to Maine to see. The cabin was well appointed, having all the necessary amenities and lots to entertain the kids. Having the rowboat, canoe and kayaks was such a nice feature. We would definitely come back.

We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the home. Open concept with a large screened in porch was great. Spending time in the water was great. Kayaking, row boat, playing with the dog. It was an easy place to just relax with family!

Fantastic location right on Toddy Pond, beautiful well cared for property. Bob provides everything thats needed to enjoy your stay. We enjoyed kayaking every morning to the various island in the pond. From waking up to the sounds of loons calling to the gentel hooting of owls in the evening, it was what we were looking for! Close to many of Maines wonderful atractions like Acadia and Bangor. Acadia Lobster Cruise is a must if you want to see a real lobster boat in action and eat some of the best lobster ever! Fantasic time and will return in the future for sure! Thanks for sharing your property with us Bob!

My husband and I, along with another couple, enjoyed our weeklong stay at Bob’s “camp” on Toddy Pond. “Camp” – the traditional Maine description for a cottage on a lake, doesn’t do the place justice. The cottage is ideally situated on middle Toddy Pond, looking out across a long stretch of water to the distant sunset shore. We enjoyed many sunsets sitting around the firepit, drinking wine, and listening for loons.
Communication for booking and arrival went smoothly, and the property manager met with us to address any questions about the camp. The house had all of the amenities you could wish for – Crockpot! Blender! Grill! Puzzles! Binoculars! And Washer/Dryer that came in handy.
The house is set up as a great room with a vaulted ceiling over the living room, which has a wood stove as the focal point. Lots of windows and a skylight make it bright. Though the interior is pleasant, we spent most of the time on the lake, or on the screened porch. Beds are comfortable and there are plenty of blankets for chilly evenings. We would definitely recommend to friends and hope to visit again.

My family really enjoyed our stay at Bob's cabin! We loved the location, right on the lake, and all of the watercraft that was available to us. It was great to unplug for a week and enjoy the sounds of nature. We took a few day trips to Bar Harbor, Acadia, and Bangor, which were all in driving distance. Bob was great at communicating with us, and made sure we had all we needed. We would stay here again and recommend this property to others!

This was everything I wanted for a peaceful retreat - beautiful, pine-walled home with a large porch overlooking the water, sleeping porches, multiple kayaks to play with, the call of loons day and night. Toddy Pond is gorgeous, clean and quiet. The owner was very responsive and helpful and a good caretaker was available to help us when needed. I hated to leave and hope to return.
