Brilliant location, brilliant accommodation, brilliant hosts

The owners sent a link to a web page with loads of brilliant info about the apartment, facilities and local area, we have stayed in lots of rental properties and this was the best communication by far. The location was as central as you could get was really clean, quiet, a good shower and comfy bed.

The only super small point is there could have been some shampoo and soap, everywhere else we have stayed this seems standard.

Good

Good decor in the apartment, nice layout and good shower room. The water utility company had a problem with water pressure the day after we arrived - Craig found out what was wrong and kept us up to date even though he was on holiday himself in Wales - very good customer service.

These are not major points but would improve the stay if addressed: - The pillows were lumpy and the duvet cover was for a larger duvet than was in it - Tap in the kitchen was loose - TV speaker distorts horribly

Great location for 2 seeing The Lake District

The property was clean, excellent size and in a central location for Ambleside. Good shower and came with a parking space. Tesco express next door to buy food.

It wasn’t the easiest to find and someone from another flat was in our parking space which hid the sign making it harder to spot. The central location also means you’ll get noise from neighbouring pubs when they empty their glass bottles into the recycling throughout the night. I don’t think it went on past midnight.

Top of the Bank - superb views

Great location, roomy and comfortable apartment - very well equipped. Fabulous views of surrounding fells as it's 3 storeys up and looks out across the roofs of lower buildings.

Only slight issue is that being 3 storeys up, there are a lot if fairly steep steps. Definitely worth the climb, but maybe avoid if you have respiratory or mobility issues.

The apartment was great very quiet no noise from the main street, good views at the back

We met the cleaner by chance, as her car was in our allocated slot, she welcomed us and took us up to the apartment and wished us a happy holiday

Superb

Great cozy apartment and brilliant location in the centre of Ambleside! Check in was easy, clear directions were given so finding the place was no issue. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable, had great cooking facilities, could even dry our wet clothes from the hike in the washer/dryer fitted in the kitchen. The bathroom was clean and well presented. Bed was comfortable and we had a lovely time. Also the host was easy to contact and very helpful. If anything could be better I can only think of bathroom/shower amenities such as shampoo or perhaps hairdryer but otherwise couldn't fault it.

Lovely relaxing stay .

The location was perfect for us . Lovely views from all windows . Lovely apartment and spotlessly clean and well equipped kitchen .

When we arrived and throughout our stay stairs and landing outside very untidy , decorators / plumbers debris over floor . Thought they could have tidied it when finished for the day but didn’t happen .

Exceptional

Amazing location, right in the main part of town and 2 doors from Tesco Express. Great place, lovely and cosy, great shower, comfy bed ... brilliant stay. Hosts were very welcoming on email and really good instructions on how to access. Over all wonderful stay, thank you

Lovely stay

Lovely apartment. Very comfortable with beautiful views.

It did not bother us but there are a lot of stairs to get the luggage up! The tapas bar behind the flat has a terrace outside. Surprisingly, they are allowed to use this late on so, with the weather being great and the new students just starting for the year, we had a couple of very noisy evenings until midnight - we stayed 6 nights. That’s a real shame when the streets behind the flat are, otherwise, quiet residential streets and the town itself is a relatively sleepy one at night. It would be a pity if this were to become a problem for an otherwise great apartment. I hope that it doesn’t.
