This was an amazing property right in the heart of Alnwick. Everything 5 mins walk - good pubs, cafes, shops, castle, gardens, bookshops all a short stroll. Accommodation was a great standard and great space and layout with 2 big reception rooms and one with a log burner……great for a cold March evening. We will be back.

We have stayed in many holiday homes as a family and this house was hands down the best one. Immaculate and airy with a very generous welcome gift on arrival. We would certainly choose to stay here again in the future.

Location location location 👍👍👍
Cannot fault Percy cottage, beautifully decorated, facilities all there, centrally located for town and restaurants within five minutes walk, Alnwick castle literally round the corner, just perfect, don’t really want to say much more, or I’ll have difficulty booking, as will be fully booked 😉
Except to say Yvonne is an excellent and helpful host.

Superb
Really enjoyed our stay here- really nice touches such as then welcome pack which included fresh milk, wine tea cakes so we could have a cuppa before going to the supermarket (which was v close, but just wanted a moment to relax!), and fresh bars of soap. Really convenient for all the restaurants and sights. Couldn’t fault it.

Brillliant house in perfect location
We have loved staying in this property. The house is clean and well cared for, and has everything you could possibly need for an excellent holiday. The location is very central to the pubs and attractions in Alnwick, with very easy access to the coastal route and to Cragside and the National park. The accommodation was spacious enough for our family of five to be able to properly relax and enjoy time both together and separately. Yvonne is a lovely host, and very helpful. We cannot recommend the property highly enough.

Brilliant property, excellent location!
We were so lucky to get away on holiday over October half term this year, after all the restrictions and difficulties of 2020. We really landed on our feet with this property! Situated literally around the corner from Alnwick Castle’s “back door”, it was central for everything we needed. The house itself was a home from home; beautifully clean, well stocked with all the essentials, loads of plug sockets (which were so useful for all the chargers!) and consequently somewhere we could really relax. The two reception rooms were a real bonus, and the recommendations for local eateries were spot on. Yvonne was a lovely host, and we were so happy with our stay. Thank you!

Encountered no problems from beginning to end of stay. Property has a great layout, cosy but also spacious enough to allow everyone their own little bit of solitude when needed.

Amazing accommodation in Alnwick
Our first trip to Northumberland, Percy Cottage made it perfect. The cottage was conveniently located and fully equipped with everything we needed - catering for a mix of generations ...and a hound.
In 4 days we managed to explore Alnwick, visit Holy Island and Bamburgh, walk from Craster to Embleton and back via Dunstanburgh Castle (buying kippers at Craster) whilst Storm Dennis battered the rest of the country we had clear blue skies! Plus, we enjoyed the riverside walk to the weir opposite Alnwick Castle and had time for the odd beer in the Dirty Bottle. A wonderful trip, thanks Yvonne for making it a home from home. We'll be back!

#2 Percy Cottages Alnwick
This is a really well appointed and equipped house, the two separate living rooms and kitchen diner will be perfect for a group of adults and young ones and it's carefully arranged to be pet friendly. We really liked it and thought it was a super bargain. Also really appreciated the care package provided.
Parking was no problem at all, there's a Morrisons supermarket within easy walking (and carrying) distance, a nice, early morning dog walk in woods and open spaces less than 5 minutes away and tons of great walks and things to do near by.
We were only there for 3 nights but manged
Alnmouth; lunch and a walk on the beautiful beach and golf links there
Alnwick; the castle.........wow.
The White Swan hotel with staircase and dining room recovered from the Titanic's sister ship, Olympic, and used as background in the latest Titanic movie.
Barter Books the biggest second hand bookshop in Britain
Holy Island and Lindisfarne castle
Bamborough Castle and a long walk on the amazing beach
Craster where we bought jewelry and kippers! and took a magnificent walk from there along the coast to Dunstanburgh castle.
There's lots more to see and do. As a base to visit the Northumberland coast and interior, it must be hard to beat.

Lovely house in a great location
Everything was perfect (apart from the weather). The house was great, spacious, clean and very comfortable, easy to find and we had no problems parking. Alnwick is a great location in itself with its own fantastic castle and town. I'd also recommend the Ale Gate (for its Gin and Ale) and The Thai Vibe restaurant.

All you could possibly want for a comfortable stay. Was like a home from home as everything that you could need was provided and nice to be able to take our dog too! Great location for exploring the town of Alnwick and the surrounding area. Nice touches with games, books, dvds provided in the house by the host. We used the outdoor seating area for eating. We came in summer but would be a great place to stay in winter as well.
