About this apartment rental
Completely renovated to make your stay more enjoyable, this apartment is located in Varatassi str. 7, a pedestrian street next to Alexandras Avenue, near the center of Athens.
Located on the 2nd floor of a building with elevator, furnished by its architect owner with an eclectic mix of contemporary and antique furniture, it has a pleasant living-dining room, two separate bedrooms (one of which is equipped with 'a double bed 160 cm and the other two single beds), a well equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a spacious shower 80X100.
The apartment has everything you need to enjoy your stay in Athens (air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV, washing machine, hair dryer, iron, ceramic hob, toaster, coffee makers, small oven and microwave).
It is located near bus lines (230, 025, 026, B5, 18, 19) that will allow you to quickly reach the Acropolis, Syntagma Square, Plaka, the Archaeological Museum, etc. On foot it will take you 20 minutes to reach the center of Athens and the tourist area.
From Athens airport, you will arrive by metro (blue line) to Ambelokipi station which is 10 minutes walk from the apartment or less than 5 minutes by bus (lines A7, B5, 14, 18, 19) that you will take at the metro exit (exit Alexandras / Panormou) until Ippokratous stop.
In the neighborhood you will find cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, a bakery next to the house, banks with ATMs and many shops. Please note that pets are not accepted.
The apartment is not wheelchair accessible due to steps in the lobby of the building just before the elevator.

Stayed for 7 days and everything was in order. Frequent public buses to the city centre. Clean and tastefully decorated apartment suitable for a family or 4 adults. Excellent communication by the owner.

This location was a little farther from the main center, but peaceful and relaxing. It is close to two bus stops and metro. It was a lovely little retreat for us to relax after our whirlwind Italy trip.

My family enjoyed our stay very much. Beds are comfortable, kitchen well appointed, a/c works well. Very good communication and recommendations. The blow dryer blew out the power and someone was there within 30 minutes to fix the breaker and even brought a new blow dryer! No other issues, just a weird occurrence with the blow dryer, didn’t have any issue before or after that. Great location with grocery stores, convenient stores, bakeries and restaurants all very close. I didn’t use the bus or metro but stops are very close as well. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

The apartment was perfect! It was spacious and very clean. We had more room than we needed, and enjoyed having an extra room where we could put our luggage, and hang clothes to dry. Having a washing machine was so convenient, and the kitchen was well equipped. There was nothing more we could have wanted!
The price was very reasonable, and well worth staying out of the city center. The communication was excellent.
The location with the neighborhood restaurant so close was so nice, with great food and amazingly reasonable prices. The bakery at the end of the street had many delicious items and the prices were low, so we bought more sweets than we should have, but we couldn't resist!
The bus stop was very close, so we often used that transportation to save money. My husband and I recommend this property with 5 stars!

Spacious, cosy and sparkling clean apartment, very well equipped and with many attentive details: umbrella, notepad and style, night light in the hall, automatic and filter coffee machines, ironing board and nice lamps with good light.

This apartment was great, very clean, spacious bedrooms, a cute little balcony. Our host was wonderful- he sent tons of helpful information ahead of time about the area, things to do, restaurants to try, wine recommendations, etc. He also had a map with nearby bus/metro stops marked and info on how to obtain public transit passes which was incredibly helpful. The apartment is about 15-20 minutes on public transport to the city center. There is a bakery and a restaurant both a few doors down. The apartment is on the 3rd floor and there is an elevator available.

Thanks to a perfect organisation and discription through our host Miltiadis, the kind support by Mimika and the warm welcoming by Christos, arriving in Athens and in our holidays was more than easy and relaxing. The apartment is a neat and cosy place where you immediately feel at home.
Although it is not located right in the old town of Athens it is quick and convenient to reach all the sights by foot, by bus or with the metro.
You should definitely buy the 3 or 5-days-Athena ticket that allows you to access all public transport.
For a good breakfast and start into the day there is a bakery in the neighbourhood with delicious bread, koulouri, cake and coffee.
We really had a fantastic time in Athens.

The apartment was as described. It was very convenient to the bus line. In general the location was quiet. The host provided much useful information regarding restaurants, transportation, etc. I would recommend this apartment.

First time in Athens and our host Miltiadis made the experience exceptional. He gave us great advice on getting around the city which made navigating a breeze. His expertise on the city and its history was much appreciated. The apartment was charming and comfortable, with all the amenities close at hand. The central location was close to all of the attractions we were looking to visit, which made it very simple to get around the city. We would highly recommend!

Wow, what can we say! The apartment was so much bigger and more spacious than the photos do it justice for! Superbly clean, amazing location with easy access to thecentee of Athens. Miltiadis and his co-hosts were an absolute delight to deal with. Top notch communication and helpful to the last, even arranging to allow us earlier access to the apartment because of our 5am flight arrival time. The apartment was awesome. It was really spacious and clean. It was close to supermarket. Just a short ride via Uber to Athens. There were also buses and subways available. The apartment was in a great area and had Wifi and AC.
Miltiadis and his wife were great hosts. They answered all of my questions quickly and provided great tips/suggestions for things to do and eat in Athens.

We had a great stay! Apartment was clean and as described. Kept us cool during the heat wave! There are several markets, banks and coffee shops nearby. Metro is about 1km away and only 3 stops from Syntagma Square and 4(with transfer) from the acropolis. Great communication from the owner and he was also very helpful with tours, transfers and restaurants. Awesome!

Before I arrived, the host sent me a very detailed email about many of the things to see and do in Athens, as well as wonderful places to eat. I greatly appreciated that, and he did it just on his own without me asking.

What a great location and property! There was plenty of space for us to spread out, close walk to the metro and it had all the amenities which made our stay great. The communication was wonderful and we were met right upon check-in and given a walk through and the keys. There is a little cafe just steps from the front door and my husband and son ate there every day - they LOVED the gyro's. They were so sad it wasn't open the day we left. Thank you for a great stay!

Mr. Kalafati was very nice and helpful providing us with all the information we needed about the apartment and the area. Also Mr. Mimika was very friendly when we arrived and answered all our questions. The apartment is lovely, very spacious, and has everything you need, from bathroom supplies to little kitchen necessities like oil, salt, coffee, etc. It even has a laundry washing machine! Overall a great place to stay, you can move around using Athen's public transportation, highly recommended!

We really appreciated our stay here! I marked the location down at 3 stars only because directly outside the apartment seemed a bit sketchy and it’s right next to 6 lanes of traffic so we definitely could hear noise at night. On the other hand, it was near a supermarket for us to pick up water, fruit, and snack bars (between 5 and 10 minutes walk) AND it only took us 15 minutes to walk to the Ambelokipi metro station (very convenient). I really appreciated how quickly and nicely Miltiadis answered all of my questions, he went over and beyond in giving helpful information about the city and our stay, AND the beds were comfortable (firm, which we all loved). There was detergent under the sink for us to do our laundry with, and that was awesome. We never cooked so we didn’t need the kitchen except for the sink and fridge, but it looked well stocked with stuff for cooking. The bakery literally two doors down from the apartment entrance was so convenient! We got pastries and coffee every morning from there!
One thing that would have been nice would have been if there had been a light turned on in the stairwell. We couldn’t figure out how to turn a light on so it was quite dark without our cell phone flashlights.
We really appreciated our stay though!

The apartment is so beautiful and clean! It’s also so closed to the Metro and buses. Just 3 metro station away from Acropolis! Closed to nice restaurants and good bakery, too.
Miltiadis is so kind to let us store our luggages in the apartment while we are in Santorini.

Well-appointed flat in central Athens
This is a lovely apartment about 40 minutes walk from the acropolis in a residential area of Athens. The neighbourhood is pleasant, there are lots of local shops (very good bakery round the corner) and the host sends lots of really helpful information about local amenities as well as the sights to see.
Athens itself is an amazing place with so much history and the ancient sites are all really well maintained and explained. We hired a car from a local business in Alexandras Avenue and visited other ancient cities. Driving in Athens is not for the faint hearted (like other busy capital cities) but worth doing. There are plenty of coach trips from central Athens and ferries from Pireaus if you prefer.
The host was really helpful with advice about what is available, and I would certainly recommend this property if you like to be in a central area of the city where you can feel safe walking alone after dark.

Such a nice apartment! Our first time using vrbo!. Our kids arrived in Athens one day ahead and the owner and manger were so helpful and accessible. I would highly recommend!! There is a cafe and bakery right near that we are still talking about! Thank you for a very memorable stay. The champagne was so nice also. Thank you!!

Very comfortable 2 bedroom unit. Owner is very helpful. Location is central to Athens center and very close to bus & metro to Acropolis & city sites. I would definitely recommend this unit if you want a true Athens experience.
