Lovely, comfortable place to stay with easy access to town.

We stayed at this property for a wedding weekend and it was perfect. Plenty of parking, lots of space, a well-equipped kitchen and super comfy beds. My two teenagers had their own spaces and we were a five minute drive to downtown Portsmouth. Communication with the host was perfect. I highly recommend this property. Thank you.

We had such a great stay at Michelle’s property. We had 4 adults and 2 young children and had plenty of space with 2 1/2 bathrooms, large living room, and multiple outdoor spaces. The home was very clean and had all the amenities we needed and more. Quiet street/neighborhood right by a tidal river, and a less than 10-minute walk to downtown Portsmouth that has wonderful stores, bars and restaurants. We also enjoyed a fun harbor cruise that was just a 15-minute walk from the house. A local neighbor recommended New Castle beach which was less than a 15-minute drive, and it was perfect for the kids with no crowds, a playground, tide pools and bathroom. We went there every day! Michelle was incredibly responsive and made sure our stay was was perfect. As noted in other reviews, the steps to upstairs floors are steep, but our nearly 3- and 5-year olds managed just fine. We hope to come back!

Our stay was everything we expected and more. The property is a nicely updated and well maintained older home with exceptional character. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful kitchen, back patio, and front porch. The grill is a nice feature, and the kitchen is very well appointed with everything you will need if you decide to cook and eat in. This great Portsmouth house has everything needed for a wonderful stay that is within walking distance of all the Downtown Portsmouth area has to offer. The manager is available and responds quickly to questions and any needs you may encounter. We will definitely be returning the next time Portsmouth is on our vacation list!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Although the home is an older home, it has been updated in the necessary areas and was veryclean and organized. The location was terrific. You can walk downtown to restaurants and shops in less than 10 minutes.
Michelle, the owner i believe was great, very communicative. We would definitely stay again, and probably will. We had a terrific stay.
Thank you Michelle!

Beautiful view of the bay and very spacious for our family. Loved that we were able to walk to shops and restaurants. Only 10 miles to our favorite beach too.

We enjoyed our 3 generational family trip to Portsmouth, NH. The house was a perfect fit for our family and had all of the conveniences of home. The city was filled with restaurants, shops and historical buildings, most in walking distance. We enjoyed a narrated harbor cruise, took a day trip to Boston and went multiple times to the Atlantic Ocean beaches.

My husband and I stayed at Michelle’s for 3 nights, and my in-laws visited for a night. We all enjoyed the proximity to all the restaurants and shops, the house was spacious and wonderful, beds were very comfortable. We would definitely book again.

This home was amazing. It has lots of little extra personal touches. Michelle, the owner went out of her way to accommodate any special requests we had. It is so convenient to downtime Portsmouth. We visited several different restaurants such as Street 360 for brunch and Thirsty Moose brewery. Trips to Newcastle beach and Durham for the food truck were also wonderful. Highly recommend the home.

Our stay at Michelle's home was great! The location is perfect, an easy walk downtown or a short Uber ride. My girlfriends and I were there for the UNH Reunion weekend. Having 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths was perfect. Also, having the kitchen or the family room/den to hang out in was so much nicer than sitting around a hotel room to catch up. With the extra space, as opposed to being in a hotel room, no one had to worry about keeping anyone awake. If you wanted to stay up & talk you knew you would not bother someone who was trying to fall asleep. I would highly recommend Michelle's home to anyone visiting Portsmouth!

Lovely property that was very comfortable. Great walkable location into fun shopping areas and practically on the water. Just a walk across the street and we saw horseshoe crabs scurrying along in the water in the evening. Highly recommended

the location is excellent proximity to downtown Portsmouth. It was so nice to be able to walk to and from dinner. Very quiet neighborhood.
Charming old house with many older home quirks.
The 3rd floor bedroom and bathroom are separated from the house but up many stairs so not too good for older adults and honestly more suitable for children or teens. It was quite stuffy however there is a nice breeze from the windows however.

A beautiful well-maintained old house, peaceful and really comfortable though just a quick stroll into Portsmouth. We loved it.

Perfectly located (10 minutes walk to downtown Portsmouth), spotless and very thoughtfully equipped. We were a group of six and had everything we needed to sleep comfortably, prepare meals and hang out together when not out on the town. There is a 1981 edition of Trivial Pursuit in the living room which made for some hilarious fun. Michelle was a very communicative host and let us check in a bit early, which was very appreciated as we were driving all the way from Montreal. Absolutely would recommend!

What a beautiful home! Michelle leaves not a single detail to chance - we would hardly wonder about something and there it was. It truly felt like our home away from home. It really is a quick easy walk to downtown and we had a great day poking around all the shops. (Try Surf if you enjoy delicious seafood and beautiful water views.). It was unseasonably warm when we visited (50+ in February) so we even got to enjoy the front patio. Finally, it wasn’t an issue for our group but the stairs to the second and especially the third floors are steep - just something to keep in mind. We’re already planning when we can return!

This well appointed home had everything we could possibly need for our stay, plenty of parking, helpful but discrete little signs explaining how things work, etc. Loved the architectural details and construction mixed with modern upgrades. Perfect location in a dog-friendly neighborhood, close to an ocean inlet and walking distance to restaurants and shops. We enjoyed hanging out in the the kitchen and loved the warmth and charm of the gas fireplace in the living room. So pleased with our stay, we can't wait to return, already planning our next stay!

What a great time. There were four of us - a couple and two single friends. Plenty of room to stretch out. We had coffee every morning in the living room - and wine and cheese every night before we started our evening events (we were in town for a wedding). What a great value for 4 for 2 nights. Michelle was also very flexible in our check in and check out. Of note - our stay was during the crazy high tides that had to be extremely stressful for our host - and yet she was very responsive and easy to communicate with. If I were in her place - I would have been a basket case.

We had a lovely Christmas staying in this beautiful home!! We walked into downtown to do last minute shopping on Christmas Eve and enjoyed seeing all the holiday decorations! The house was immaculate, warm, cozy and easy to have our dogs with us! We had family come over and the kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals and bake desserts, there was plenty of parking! Perfect house in a perfect area! We hope to get back next year!

We enjoyed an anniversary weekend at this lovely property. Nice, quiet location just blocks from a bustling Portsmouth and a short drive to local beaches for long dog walks. The house itself is light filled and has a wonderful, well equipped kitchen. The second floor bedroom and bathroom were perfect for us. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and appreciated our responsive host. We hope to return to spend more time at the beaches and exploring all that Portsmouth shops and restaurants have to offer.

We loved this location! Very easy walk to downtown shops and restaurants; don’t miss Cure or Surf! 5-10 minute drive to grocery stores or Kittery stores/restaurants (Roberts is a favorite). We were there for a week over Thanksgiving and did a fair amount of cooking. The updated & very functional kitchen was much appreciated! It was also well equipped, but could use a new frying pan and a wooden spoon or two ;-) King master on second floor was very comfortable. Plenty of closet options & large updated bathroom with walk-in shower & soaker tub. This beautiful old home is well cared for & was extremely clean. It is cozy with lots of big windows and natural light. Unfortunately with age comes a slightly uneven kitchen floor and narrow, steep stairs going up to second and third floors. We didn’t use the two bedrooms on third floor so really not an issue for us but could be for others. It was very convenient having 2 full baths, there’s also a nice 1/2 bath on third floor. Bedding and linens were all nice and plentiful. WIFI was fast throughout the house. We had 3 people “working from home” with no issues. We didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor space, but there was a nice patio and a couple deck sitting areas with water views. Plenty of parking. Keyless front door made coming & going as well as check in very simple. We also loved having the back yard entrance for taking the dogs in and out. The owners were nice & very easy to communicate with. Detailed instructions and labels helpful.

7 -8 college friends go away for the first weekend of November every year and we had a great stay at Michelle’s home. Her home was a pleasant surprise and within 10 minutes walking distance to downtown. We never drove once.
Her beautiful home seems redone but has retained a lot of character. We sat around the kitchen table and talked for hours while gazing outside at the water and bridge. Really cool! Seemed very new on first 2 floors. 3rd floor twin beds and futon seemed a bit older with rugs. Probably could use a mattress change on those beds soon. The futon is in its own area and is private. Ceilings are low up there and a bit claustrophobic but not a game changer by any means. Michelle has certainly utilized the space well and there is a bathroom up there as well. There is room for 3 cars which was great!
Great restaurants in Portsmouth. Hope to be back at some point. We usually have 8 so probably can’t stay there again as sleeps 7. Perfect for this year!!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was perfectly clean and as-advertised, owner provided all the information we needed for a seamless check-in/check-out. It is a very unique and interesting space, short walk to downtown/Market Square. Thank you!

Nothing is better than Fall in New England and Michelle’s property highlighted all those beautiful colors from a warm and comfortable antique home. The modern touches made for a relaxing home base to entertain family and friends. It’s exactly what I had hoped for and more. Thanks for sharing your home with the Thomas family.

Our 5th or 6th stay, and won't be our last! Perfect location to walk downtown or hop on the road to Kittery or Hampton. House is spotless and comfy - our puppy loved lying by the gas fireplace stove!

We had a family wedding at the Envio which was quite literally a few minute walk from the house. Very convenient! Downtown was a little drive but very easy to get to, as well as to the outlets in Maine. It was nice having a king size bed on the first floor, especially if someone is older or physically challenged and doesn't want to navigate the steepish narrow stairs to go up the second and third floors. Maybe for little ones as well.
We would spend another weekend there for sure.

We were in town for a short weekend visit. The house was clean and comfortable and a close walk to downtown. So relaxing and easy to check in and out. The water views were amazing. We would definitely return here and rent the house again. Love the historic charm.
