About this house rental
This may be the Hawaiian vacation rental of your dreams. Discover Kauai and the North Shore of Kauai overlooking the outer portions of Hanalai Bay, the Bali Hai and the ocean view holes of the Makai golf course. This vacation rental has not only these water, mountain and golf course views, but proximity to Queen’s Bath, local beaches, and the Princeville shopping center, all within walking distance via Princeville’s walking and biking paths.
Views are from a 1200 square foot covered lanai, complete with dining and high-top bar tables, BBQ, an intimate conversation pit and hot tub, coupled with near constant trade winds and spectacular sunsets at the end of each day. Beyond the lanai’s almost unbelievable setting and views, the elevated lanai hot tub is a special feature unique to this home, combining to make this house and lanai either the highlight of your vacation experience or in line with all the other ‘over the top’ vacation experiences you will experience while visiting Kauai.
Adjacent to the lanai is the living room, indoor bar, kitchen and more formal indoor dining areas, co-located in an open, high vaulted ceiling space. The living room and dining room are connected to the lanai via large multi-panel sliding glass doors. The living room has a large TV, a large sectional sofa, swivel side chairs, and a fireplace seldom needed at a location enjoying 70 to 80F day and night temperatures.
The large gourmet kitchen with center island is a place from which the chef will shine. The center island with seating for four is for all to enjoy food, drink, and conversation while the culinary experience is developing, with the chef having both social contact and all that is needed to work his or her magic within arms-length. Indoor dining has seating for eight, with lanai dining having seating for six and an adjacent high-top bar with seating for another six.
There is a mid-level master bedroom and bath. The master bedroom has a new articulated Tempurpedic king size bed and large screen Smart TV. The master bath has an enclosed pebble-based shower, dual sink vanity, and ‘Smart’ bidet toilet.
Downstairs has two more bedrooms and a large den with Murphy bed. The den has a large screen TV surrounded by a large sectional sofa, a game / dining table and office space. This room is a great place for our guests to pursue other activities, separate from those enjoying the upper-level / lanai experience.
Downstairs is connected to an outdoor shower and an outdoor patio with a seating / conversation area, and ‘a tropical paradise’ hammock for your special kick back time.
The lanai, patio, and almost every room in the house has a ceiling fan and nearly constant trade winds for comfort. And to mitigate the infrequent much warmer weather in the evenings, all bedrooms are air conditioned with independent control of AC for each room.
Each bedroom has an associated full bath, with den occupants sharing one of two downstairs bathrooms.
There is beach equipment and bicycles for guest use, in addition to the fully equipped kitchen and other amenities to create and enhance your vacation experience. Basic paper goods, linens and towels are provided, requiring just food, drink, clothes, personal effects and a sense of adventure to enjoy all that Kauai has to offer.

BEST RENTAL EVER! This house was even better than the pictures! The AC units in the bedrooms were great at night time. We enjoyed the patio, the hot tub, sunsets on the golf course and being so close to queens bath. My kids are already asking to book this house again.

This is a beautiful and well maintained property. We really enjoyed our stay.Host manager, Eric, is great. He responded to our requests and questions promptly.Great lanai set up, gorgeous view from lanai. We can see a rainbow every other morning and a colorful sunset every afternoon. Walking distance to the queen's bath. You do not need to worry about parking.Kitchen is fully equipped. There are more machines than expected.The property has bicycles, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc...One improvement:This house has two wifi stations. We struggled with wifi on the first day on the Lanai with info provided in the welcome sheet. Please update wifi information about orbi48

This property was stunning and the host has really thought of everything. My party of 6 stayed for 6 nights and we were so sad to leave. It had all the amenities that it lists, was clean, easy to access, easy parking and so so beautiful. The extra option to bike around Princeville and hike down to Queen's Bath from the driveway was even more special and unexpected. Highly recommend!!

The view from the porch is unlike anything you will see - The most peaceful, relaxing and breath taking view you can find. I would say would be harder to find a better sunset view then here. House is equipped great and layout fantastic with views from everywhere. Also, very comfortable and clean

We had an excellent stay. The views are of course stunning, with mountain, golf course, ocean and garden views. The property is very well equipped with top-of-the-line appliances, furniture, and utensils. The attention to detail was impressive; clearly the owners must have lived there or spend time there themselves to have appointed it so well. We barely had to contact the host/manager for anything. There were detailed instructions or markings for everything.
We saw some beautiful full triple rainbows one morning. The sunsets are beautiful, but since we were out most days during that time, we could enjoy it only one evening. The outdoor upper floor hot tub was indeed one of the highlights. The house was so spacious, we barely used all the areas. In fact we didn’t use the very nice living area in the lower floor at all!
We would love to come back and stay there.

We had an amazing family vacation in Kauai! The house was perfect for our family with three adult children. We enjoyed the views from the lanai every sunrise and sunset. We had plenty of room for everyone and could have easily brought several more! I felt that the pictures where a very good representation of what the house is like! We would definitely stay here again!

What a wonderful property!! We have been to Princeville a number of times, always in a hotel, but not anymore. This house made for the perfect family vacation. Extremely clean, thoughtfully furnished, and a great layout for a family. Plus a gorgeous view!! Wonderful hosts, we could not have wanted anything better.

My husband, 3 adult sons, and the beautiful ladies in their lives; enjoyed 10 days at this incredible VRBO. Besides having a million-dollar view (sunsets will never be the same); this home was appointed with everything we needed (and even things we hadn't thought of). The beds were dreamy and oh so comfortable; the linens fresh, new, and clean; the furniture high-end but welcoming and super comfortable; the decor was beyond inviting, elegant, and pleasing; all of the appliances were top of the line and in fantastic conditions; and the kitchen was stocked with every utensil, cookware, dishware, glassware, and small appliances- that we could dream up (even a French Press). The lanai was both breathtaking and functional- There were plenty of spots to carve out a moment alone sipping coffee and pondering the vastness of the ocean; to gather as a group and discuss our adventurous day; and/or to relax and unwind in the hot tub while watching shooting stars overhead. I have NEVER been more pleased and grateful, nor felt more at home, than I did in this VRBO. Last, but definitely not least: Eric (the host) was gracious and helpful- responding at a moment’s notice to any need or question. Thank you does not adequately convey the depth of gratitude I feel. We truly had the perfect host, home, and trip.. <3

Try to find a better view on the island! Enjoy the sunset view every evening from the expansive lanai. The house is very well equipped with all that you would need on your stay both inside the house and also all the beach accessories! This is an unbelievable rental and just across the street from Queens Bath. Would recommend it to friends visiting the island.

beautiful home, beautiful location
First time using VRBO and it won’t be the last. The Princeville home was gorgeous and the location too notch. Can’t say enough about the brilliant views from the deck / veranda. The only minor issues were quicky addressed by the property management. I highly recommend the property.

Overall, this is a well-equipped and very clean house in an incredible location. The kitchen was excellent, and the lanai mind-blowing. If you like cooking with friends and eating outdoors while watching the sun set over the ocean, stay here.
Only a few nits keep us from a solid 5 stars. First is lack of climate control. While individual rooms have small AC units, we had problems getting them to function consistently. The house has special windows to let the breeze in, but if you aren't used to heat and humidity -- and/or choose to stay here during the heat of summer (we visited in June) -- you might be uncomfortable.
Second, the house does not come with amenities for small children (pack and play/cribs, high chairs, booster seats, etc). We brought our own so this wasn't a big deal, but plan to do the same (or rent) if you are staying with small children.
Finally, there appears to be a small electrical issue with the hot tub. Pro tip: check it the day before you intend to use it to make sure it's on and heating the water. We found it off/cold because the fuse had been tripped, and it took a long time to reheat. Not a big deal (we found the box and reset the circuit) but a bit disappointing to not have it functional when you're in your swimsuit holding a cold beer.
Overall, a fantastic experience. We would stay here again!

Our family of 4 visited for a week in mid-May. We were thrilled with this property - A/C in each bedroom and the family room in lower level with the Murphy bed was much needed during our stay for night-time comfort - otherwise we got along fine with open windows during day. After checking in and several days on the North side of the island, we decided it was a great choice as less traffic, beautiful beaches and undebatable views of sunset. We never used the hot tub (we have one at home). We sat on the deck daily. Kitchen well-stocked with everything we needed - plenty of kitchenware so you don't have to constantly wash dishes and glasses - though we kept everything clean to avoid any pests and never had an issue. Lots of pots/pans for cooking, store close by and great mgmt company response when the battery in the combo lock for garage needed replacing so we could get in and grab gear. Having the snorkel equip was great too! Walk to Queens Bath (across street) and to Hideaway Beach. We drove to Waimea Canyon, did waterfall hikes, snorkel, scuba and a coastal boat/snorkel tour. Recommend Tunnels Beach to snorkel as 2 reefs to explore. Super clean and comfortable beds. Our whole family was happy - everyone had own beds and the 3 3/4 baths were fabulous for us. Would definitely recommend!

This house has EVERYTHING you want in a vacation home. Great location close to the Princeville shopping center and Hanalei for shopping and restaurants. Close to many beaches to either hike to (Secret Beach, Puu Poa) or drive to Anini with easy access for families.The picture perfect views from the huge lanai are so relaxing and are the place to be for sunset. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and everything needed to cook family meals or pack picnics. The owners have decorated the house with tasteful artistic flair and comfortable furniture. No cheap plastic chairs on the lanai! Games, puzzles and tv’s for evening entertainment. Wireless chargers and a Bluetooth speaker are provided. They thought of everything. Plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, hiking poles and snorkeling gear. Also two bikes are available. The best rental we have stayed at!

We picked the location hoping for views and sounds of the ocean. We hit the jackpot on both. Amazing views from back porch and northern waves crashing rocks gently 24x7. Exactly what we hoped for. Family loved the house, the patio, kitchen, game room, and overall location. We drove to beach and also hiked from the house. A great vacation and we will be back!!

We absolutely loved our stay in this home in Princeville. This home is very spacious and the decor is phenomenal. The view from the patio/ balcony is extraordinary. You can see the ocean the mountains and the golf course all together we are going to miss this view. The home is on the North shore which was perfect as we love the adventures this part of the island has. The house is literally across the street from the queens bath parking . We loved spending time in Hanalei Bay area which was a mile drive from the house. Right near the house is the Princeville center which has a Food lion a post office a few restaurants and shops. It was super convenient to have all of that close by. We appreciated the added touches the management company did like leave us canvas bags for shopping hand sanitizer local coffee and chocolates as well as shampoo conditioner and body soap. At the end of a long day exploring/ hiking/ surfing it was always nice to end our day in the hot tub and watch the sunset and once the sun goes down looking at the amazing night sky filled with stars. I was a little nervous knowing we would not have AC but to my surprise it actually got cold at night in the house and it stayed cool all day with the trade winds. Being from Florida we expected to be hot and sweaty all the time but it ended up being the opposite it's sunny hot beautiful yet cool and breezy all at the same time. We loved it so much we extended our stay and can't wait to come back to Kauai again!

We absolutely loved our stay in this home in Princeville. This home is very spacious and the decor is phenomenal. The view from the patio/ balcony is extraordinary. You can see the ocean the mountains and the golf course all together we are going to miss this view. I was a little nervous knowing we would not have AC but to my surprise it actually got cold at night in the house and it stayed cool all day with the trade winds. Being from Florida we expected to be hot and sweaty all the time but it ended up being the opposite it's sunny hot beautiful yet cool and breezy all at the same time. We loved it so much we extended our stay and can't wait to come back to Kauai again!

The house was absolutely excellent with an amazingn lanai where we spent mornings and evenings.
The house was beautiful and clean. The only issue was the hot tube did not work for most of the time. However I believe they fixed this the last day of our stay.
Overall highly recommend.

The location and the views from the lanai are better than depicted by the photos. Our favorite part of the trip was having breakfast at the home soaking in the amazing views of the ocean and mountains! We had six adults and 2 young children in our party and this home was perfectly appointed for our needs. Can’t say enough good things, highly recommend this to anyone.

Amazing view
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The views are even better than the pictures do justice. We so enjoyed watching the sunset over Hanalei Bay. The house was spacious with a lovely kitchen. The location was great for getting into Hanalei but also other beaches closer to Kapa'a and there is a grocery store nearby. There were beach chairs, some snorkeling gear and boogie boards, which were all very useful and appreciated. The biggest downside was that the jacuzzi was not working, which our family was excited about using. But overall it was wonderful and we would recommend.

Our family stayed at this great home in Princeville. Gorgeous property in every way. Situated directly across the street from Queens Bath path/parking lot, so very busy street especially in July. But from the inside, you would not notice the constant stream of people at all.
We loved “our” beach by the resort (which is fully under construction). Loved the walk there. Great location for long morning strolls, discovering the nooks and crannies of this little slice of Princeville.
The house was super cozy for the four of us, parents and two teens. Plenty of room for more. The balcony overlooking the golf course and ocean was beautiful for morning coffee and a spectacular spot for gorgeous sunsets. Kitchen is fully stocked for cooking/grilling.
Kauai is chock full of tourists, and lines are long, restaurants packed, not to mention places are short staffed due to Covid. So be patient and have a plan B. Many of the popular hikes require permits too - so search places out before you go. Just be prepared.
I wish the hot tub were working. It wasn’t, and it was one of the things we were looking forward to. But no biggie.
Overall it was a great stay.

Wow! Wow! Wow! The house is beautifully decorated, perfectly cleaned and the property mgmt. company provided everything needed. The real highlight is the lanai and the view. Waterfalls in the mountains, coastline ocean view and beautiful outdoor landscaping sitting on the side of a hill were magnificent. We spent hours sitting out on the lanai and enjoying the almost daily rainbows, sunsets and even the rain showers. We found we enjoyed eating meals outside on the lanai more than eating at restaurants. We were able to navigate the Hanalei daily road closures without impacting our activities and even though it rained everyday, the rain never affected our activities. You can't get any more convenient a location for Queen's Bath. The Princeville grocery store is convenient but you need a rental car (Uber/Lyft/taxis were in short supply). The downstairs living room worked perfectly as a 4th bedroom for us. The beach towels and other items were also appreciated and used. It did get a little warm in the late afternoon (without A/C) but the ceiling fans, coastal breeze and cool beverages overcame any discomfort. It was never too warm at bedtime. Hawaii Life Vacations really gets the vacation property management business. They provided all the details needed, required little to no follow up questions and provided suggestions and great laminated guidelines that didn't feel like lawyer written liability waivers. Bravo Hawaii Life! I was going to knock one star off this review when we found out that the hot tub was broken, but the house is just too good not to give it 5 stars. Kauai does not disappoint and Princeville is a great master planned upscale neighborhood. Enjoy!
