Great property, will definitely visit again
Amazing sea front location with great views from kitchen and living room. Right in the heart of Whitstable Main bedroom is a lovely large room overlooking the sea
Second floor bedrooms are up extremely steep stairs. Other than that the property is superb.

excellent, but with reservations over suitability for disabled guests.
The location. the conservatory overlooking the sea.
the disability lift didn’t work until rectified. the boiler had a leak and the hot water and heating therefore didn’t work until the boiler man came the following day. there are not 2 bathrooms, but one shower room and one toilet with no disability access to a bathroom, although this is listed as a disability friendly property. the stairs to the top floor were so steep as to be accessible only to fit and agile guests. the duvet on the top floor was not big enough for the bed. the free parking in the area is very difficult to come by so that we had to pay to park for our disability van locally.

Interesting house in a great location
The Ness is a lovely old house that stands right on the beach in Whitstable. The location was ideal for our family holiday because everything we needed was right on our doorstep. The views across the estuary were interesting, the sunsets were lovely, and it was a great place for people-watching. The house was furnished with many interesting antiques, the living areas were comfortable, and it was well-equipped. The hosts were very responsive to our questions and requests. They provided lots of things for young children, including a travel cot, a high chair, a baby bath, stair gates, and a selection of books and toys.
We were a party of five adults, plus a baby and a toddler. The two top bedrooms are almost unusable for adults because of their size, and they are too dangerous for small children because of the incredibly steep staircase and narrow steps. We had to improvise a stair gate up on the top landing to protect the toddler because the grandparents could not make it up those steps. The description should have a health and safety warning about these rooms because they are really only suitable for teenagers. The kitchen was well-equipped, but it was awkward to use and not very clean (especially the dishes and glassware). There was no place to store our groceries, so they remained piled on the very small worktops, leaving us very little space to prepare meals.

Beautiful Whitstable
Location! On the beach. Beautiful old house, well equipped kitchen. Hosts made us feel welcome, milk and prosecco in the fridge, tea, coffee. Beds super comfy.
Very steep stairs to attic rooms just for awareness.

A relaxing break enjoyed by all the family.
Beautiful sea view from an enclosed veranda. Well equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge. Two good sized bedrooms with extra beds in the loft space. Perfect for a relaxing break.
No parking near to the property, many of the residential streets nearby, that allowed free parking, were very congested. Radiator in the enclosed veranda didn’t work so during winter months it is too cold to sit in there to enjoy the views.

Great 50th retreat. Highly recommended.
Loved watching world go by sipping fizz. Indoor outdoor feel. Eating lovely food in local restaurants.
Top floor good for kids but not ideal for adults as steep stairs.

excellent stay
can’t fault it. perfect location, the owners have really thought about what facilities are needed.
stairs to loft bedrooms impractical for children and elderly. mother in law had to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room as she couldn’t get up the stairs
