Very comfortable plenty of space no need to go anywhere for entertainment. Its all there!!

We stayed here back in August, and I’m not sure how I missed posting our review.
First of all, we cannot rave about this place enough.
We are a very large family. Usually 20 of us. This place had enough space for all of us to hang out, but to also spread around when needed.
The kids, younger and older loved the theater and hot tub. We enjoyed a lot of time on the porch. And of course the fire pit.
Everything was as described if not better. It exceeded our expectations.
The check in and check out process was a breeze. The kitchen was perfect for cooking for our crew. The bedrooms and bathrooms were good sizes and offered plenty of space.
We absolutely loved this trip! And we plan on going back again!
Thank you for a fabulous stay!

The location and house was fabulous. This was a cousins trip and everyone loved the house.
There was confusion in communication. Twice, the management company responded to my emails and didn’t seem to read them thoroughly. Eventually, I had an appropriate response and they sorted issues out.

We loved our stay at Wildlife Manor! It was very spacious and had everything we needed from linens to cookware. We loved the beautiful view off the deck! Overall it was a wonderful stay in the perfect location.
4.1
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was so close to downtown Boone and a short drive from other “local” attractions.
We really appreciated the large closets for pack-n-play sleepers, and there was entertainment and space for our whole family ages 1.5-65yo!
The host left a sweet welcome gift, and was always timely and available when we had questions.

This was the perfect place for my friends and I to meet for the weekend. The kitchen, TVs, common spaces, and the theater were all bigger than anticipated. Could not have picked a better place for our stay! Would love to come back another time.

CONS We arrived to a dirty house with a leaking roof. Long story short the linens were clean, several of the comforters are not. Windows, tubs, dirty. The entire house needs a professional deep clean. (We even found a dried up shrimp tail on the kitchen floor) None of the recliners in the great room work properly if at all. We were advised the day before arriving the commercial size refrigerator wasn’t working…use the loaner in the garage. My mother in law used a lot of elbow grease and cleaned it herself!!! Most of the beds are extremely uncomfortable except for the few people who liked an extremely firm bed.
PROS theater was comfy everything worked.
Game room provided a lot of entertainment and laughs thank goodness. The kitchen is huge and was great for all the cooking we did. Both coffee makers needed to be cleaned.
Spoke with several people at the management company Dominic by far was the only one who seemed to understand my frustration. Two young ladies came to clean the bathrooms and vacuumed…but the vacuum cleaner wasn’t working well….we dismissed them as they weren’t very helpful. The members of the maintenance team all came in with positive attitude and willingness to help. The roof leak, the fire alarms going off randomly, and removing branches from the driveway after the storm, also grateful for the young man who came to snake the tub and removed what we refer to as “the squirrel size furball.
The frustration of so many issues definitely made for difficult times. If the owner addresses many of the broken items (which he’s known about for awhile) this would be a great place. But until those much needed fixes are taken care of we would not recommend it. If they are corrected I wouldn’t mind giving it another try as the space ans location was perfect.

Property was well maintained and provided everything you would need for a weeks stay. The main fridge did not keep cold enough which made the fridge alarm sound off over night, (we made sure the doors were closed before going to bed but the alarm still went off) Thank you for the fridge in the garage. we moved most of the food into the garage.
Water pressure was a little low, but not enough to be a problem. Over all, the house is a beautiful house and I would definitely stay there again, Thank you for the opportunity to use the house.

My family stayed with several other families and we all had a blast! There was plenty of room for us all. I did however get my truck stuck in a ditch twice while leaving. So please pay attention if it is snowing! It is no joke! The cabin rental place was very accommodating and helpful. The only complaint was the internet or lack there of. So good luck trying to stream anything. We would definitely go back however!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
We arrived at the home at 3:50pm to find the exiting guests were just pulling down the driveway! While we were trying to get the management company on the phone, the neighbor started screaming at us that we needed move from the base of the driveway that we were trespassing in her driveway. We proceeded to the house and found it in the MOST disgusting condition! There were food crumbs EVERYWHERE! We had to start cleaning the house! I finally got a manager on the phone, she advised the cleaning crew would be there at 4:30. I asked if they were bringing clean bedding, she advised me that they will spray the comforters with a sanitizer. We are in a COVID Climate, spraying things between guests is unacceptable. Spraying the couches yes, but the blankets! I spent all night washing comforters so we could have clean bedding! The cleaning crew didn't arrive until 5:30ish and didn't finish until 7pm. We rented a house to limit our exposure and this situation left us completely exposed to others! The hot tub was green and needed to be dumped and refilled, leaving it unusable for the first night of our stay. Our children were outside playing when another neighbor started yelling at them, this was witnessed by a member of the clean crew. One of the neighbors advised my husband that the POA (property owners association) is in a legal battle with the owners in regard the home being rented. To say this was a horrible situation is an understatement. We didn't even receive a call back from the manager, checking in to see if the cleaning crew did a good job, if we needed anything, if there were any issues. I'm appalled at this entire situation.

Our family had a fantastic Christmas week at Wildlife Manor. The house was spacious with a huge fully stocked kitchen. We watched dvd movies in the theater room every night! The kids took full advantage of pool, ping pong, and shuffle board. The Christmas decorations including the tree were beautiful and made for a homey and special Christmas Day!! The house was clean with comfortable beds. The hot tub was a hit. The mountain view exceeded expectations with beautiful sunrises. The location is conveniently close to Boone. We had an issue with the tv and received an immediate response from Carolina Cabin. To keep the downstairs warm the upstairs got hot which was easily fixed by opening up a window. Overall I recommend this home and Carolina Cabin!!

Fantastic Place to Get Away
My family and I really enjoyed staying at Wildlife Manor. The kids (and many of the adults) had a blast downstairs watching movies in the movie room, playing shuffle board, ping pong and pool and hanging out by the fire many of the days we stayed in. The rooms were clean and well kept up along with the bathrooms. We had one small issue with an upstairs shower and somebody was out to fix it in 2 hours, which was great! The kitchen was HUGE which is great for a large family cooking in there and not stepping all over each other. Location of course is fantastic being up in the mountain away from everything but only a 15 min drive to the grocery store or downtown Boone. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to visit the area.

By far the best place we have ever been on vacation. The place was spacious and we looked forward to going back to each day after out shopping and seeing the sights.

Beautiful home and location. House needs a little TLC, most of the items in need of repair are in previous reviews but all in all we enjoyed our stay and family time together!

Beautiful and neglected
The house is large and beautiful. Great view. Great amenities, but they have issues. The hot tub seems old and didn't work correctly. Only some of the jets worked and it just has a feel of being at the end of its life. There is WiFi, but we found out on arrival that the wifi didn't support streaming shows, movies, or videos. Which meant all the big screen tv's and the theater room were fairly useless since we didn't bring dvds. This is something we should have been informed of prior to arrival. The large commercial quality refrigerator/freezer was cool, until you realize the handle falls off. These are a few examples, but generally speaking this great property is being spoiled by neglect. Sinks didn't have water pressure, but others did. Some ceiling fans work, others didn't or made weird noises. The furniture looks fine but most of the recliners are broken. The outdoor grill caught fire when we cooked 4 burgers on tinfoil. The deep grease in the bottom of the grill caught fire... ruined our burgers.. but didn't burn down the place, so all ways ok. It's just a workout beauty that needs attention.

Wildlife Manor was a great cabin to celebrate our 50th anniversary with our children and grandchildren. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the table seated all 14 of us. The game room, theatre , and hot tub provided fun evening activities. We were comfortable and found the house provided all we needed.
We had a problem with the supply of hot water when when several people wanted to shower at the same time. Also, it would have been nice to have more furniture in the living room so we could have whole group conversation time. All in all, it was a wonderful week, and we will recommend It to others. Thank you.

Hornblend
This our worse experience in ten years of renting cabins/ homes over the fourth of July holiday week. TV in master didn't work at all, hot tub was a joke, gas grill didn't work, surround sound in living room and theater room didn't work, toilet upstairs was turned off and don't work, basement/ lower level plumbing kept stopping up, found out pump was not plugged in. All of this should have been checked well before we arrived.

Almost perfect
There was a total of 6 adult couples that stayed at Wildlife Manor for Valentines Day weekend.
We had a great time. The home was beautiful, very spacious yet cozy.
We arrived an hour early and was able to check in without issue. The home was clean, however there were to issues...there was an odor coming from the sink. I wish I had a little bleach to pour down the drain but it faded after cleaning the sink and running the garbage disposal. The inside of the oven also needed a good cleaning. When we used it the first time we were afraid the smoke detectors would be set off due to the amount of smoke from the oven. Before using it a second time, we had to clean it. That wasn't cool. The only other complaints we all shared during our stay was the temperature of the home...some rooms/areas were freezing while others were burning up. Wasn't too big of a deal, we all were able to manage and ultimately enjoyed our stay. I would like to offer a suggestion...there are procedures listed on the fridge for check out, laundry, trash, etc. Great idea! One requirement stated that if the trash can't fit in the bins with the lids secured, then it must be taken to the trash collection site. We had no idea where that was as we were from out of town. Carolina Cabin rental was able to assist when I called to advise about our trash so it wasn't an issue for us. Please list the address to the location where excess trash should be delivered to avoid guest having to figure it out. Other than those minor issues, we had a great time. Thanks for the hospitality, would absolutely return!

Aging Property In Need of Attention
My family and I have been renting all over Georgia and North Carolina for the last 15 years. First off, the service prior and during our stay were excellent from the administrative staff.
Our primary concerns were with the maintenance of this property. Our family paid over $7,000 for the week and we felt like we paid way to much for a cabin with so many issues. Below are the main issues we faced during our stay.
- Extremely Dusty - Every corner of this cabin was dusty and felt like it hadn't been swept or vacuumed in a few months.
- Kitchen Cabinet Doors Broken - During our stay, we had two kitchen cabinet doors fall off the hinges when we opened them. This was not only unacceptable, but dangerous. We we told the customer service team they advised us that there was already an open ticket. Then why wasn't it fixed prior to our stay?
- Bathroom Shower Not-Functioning - On the second day of our stay, one of the bathroom shower heads stopped functioning. We thought it was low pressure do to others taking showers at the same time, but that was not the case. You could clearly tell that someone did repair work in that bathroom prior to our arrival, but it definitely wasn't fixed.
The location and amenities of this property were second to none other that we have been to during our travels. The problem is that this property is in some serious need of TLC.

OCC Mission Trip 2019
our repeat visit for the Rock Church mission trip to work in the Operation Christmas Child processing warehouse did not disappoint. The home served us perfectly. and other than the first night's difficulty getting our church van up to the driveway due to the unexpected sleet and ice..went without a hitch. One thing that we missed from our last visit (3 years ago) was the Christmas tree and decorations. They so added to the homey and festive feel of the setting. Also, even though the "welcome gifts are wonderful, they could be more geared to the number of guests, as there are some who didn't receive a token. We will definitely be looking to return next year, if Wildlife Manor is available!

Wildlife Manor Review
All in all, we liked the house. We enjoyed the abundant activities that come with the house such as Ping-Pong table, pool table, shuffle board, hot tub, fire pit and media room. But as with most rental houses, shortfalls are inevitable. Shortfalls include: very weak, almost negligible internet, hot temperature upstairs without adjustment, very little yard with extreme drop-off and no fencing which is dangerous for kids. We do appreciate the quality of the house and enjoyed our time at Wildlife Manor. Thank you.

4 Star - Good times!!!
Our family and friends spent a week at Wildlife Manor and had a great time. The cabin is well equipped for a large group. The property would benefit greatly by adding a fence at the front of the property as it is pretty steep and a very short yard, so it caused our group considerable worry as we had young children. The handrail leading into the house was also not adequate. The grill at the property had one partially working burner, which is a problem when you're trying to cookout for 15+ people. As much as the cabin costs to rent and as large as it is, this honey-do list isn't much, but it would have elevated things for us from 4 to 5 stars.
All in all, we would consider renting the place again.

Great place to meet and have a family reunion. Accommodations were great overall.Great cellular service and 6 groups of travelers were able to navigate the final few miles with GPS! So no one got lost. We had easy access to scenic walking trails and children and toddlers loved it. We all did! Great kitchen and counter spaces including the stools and counter for extra dining space. Also the very large dining table that accommodates 12 with ease. Great to have a six burner stove and two ovens; also we used the washer/dryer a lot. Thank you for great major appliances. And well stocked small appliances. The family loved the game room options. Also the outdoor seating. The family made s'mores and loved the fire pit area. What fun! We have about 12 family who weren't able to visit due to school and work schedules. Thanks for your hospitality and speedy attention to deficiencies that will provide a great experience for guests yet this fall/winter season. Why only three stars?
Even though the table tennis was in a "utility area" and somewhat out of sight, the family used the space well. (In fact, they found several balls had rolled under a ?HVAC? unit. Good for them.) It would be great if the floor had been recently swept. The floor was "grungy" around the outer parameter! Likely had been an overlooked area for some time. Please consider that Wildlife Manor needs to be a clean, thus healthy, environment for guests.
It just so happens my two sons are in the construction industry (each a small business owner). Regarding plumbing, you will want to get the property inspected and tend to maintenance issues: "Bunk room" bathroom, for example: The commode needs a new seal. I weigh 125 lbs, and found the stool very wobbly. First use was an unpleasant surprise! As the Plumber says "A wobbly toilet is a leaking toilet!" Not safe, not healthy to have leakage.
Also, the kitchen sink faucet is not securely attached. AND, there is mold/mildew growing under the grout behind the faucet. Not healthy. Regarding the frig, the doors don't seem to seal properly. When the doors were closed it took extra effort to get them shut. Fact is you can stand back only about a couple paces and see an issue.
One couple and their 4 children occupied the bedroom that adjoined the sleeping/play area. Great space and the family appreciated the space. HOWEVER, "mom" says when the toys are pulled back from the walls, it's evident that the floor is very dusty. Not favorable conditions, especially for the children who suffer allergies.
There are "dust bunnies" on all the "mop boards" and the horizontal parts of many doors. Can't help but notice! Maybe time to do some fall deep cleaning. Also to dust the "cubbies" in the laundry area.
Know this, however: We will likely contact Carolina Cabins another time. Maybe next time we'll need larger accommodations. We have about 12 family who weren't able to visit due to school and work schedules.
Thanks for your hospitality and speedy attention to deficiencies that will provide a great experience for guests yet this fall/winter season.
Sincerely

Great cabin. Enjoyed staying there. Could have had more TV's for all bedrooms and maybe an wifi extender for better internet. I would encourage bigger trash can to place trash in because with up 20 people staying there the trash accumulate fast. Other than that our first cabin experience was EXCELLENT staying there. The customer service was GREAT. The people in area were very friend. GREAT WEEK! Would definitely return!

Mountain Vacation
The dishwasher was broken for the first five days and we had to do the dishes by hand. Also, I would suggest having the house exterminated as we saw several roaches in the drawers and cabinets. Finally more towels and washcloths would have been helpful. But overall it is a wonderful house for a large family vacation. The Theatre Room was amazing as well as the rest of the house. Great place! Thank you very much.
4.1
The good and bad
This property is spacious, the view is incredible, media room and activity rooms were a plus and the layout was perfect for our large family. My biggest complaint is that this house needs a thorough cleaning. Lots of dust under the beds, on objects in each room, and anywhere that furniture sits. The kitchen cabinets were sticky and greasy along with the coffee pot, utensil holder and tea kettle. The oven was in desperate need of cleaning as well. Lastly, I didn’t quite understand why a dish drain was put into the dishwasher until I realized that it was necessary to put plates on. Otherwise the dishwasher was quite impractical without it.
I would also like to add that all blankets and bedspreads should be washed too. Nothing like reaching for a cozy throw only to find out it is stained with something. Not very appealing.
I wanted to give this house a better rating but I feel very strongly about cleanliness, especially in a place where food is prepared
