Once again Joanne and Henry are wonderful hosts, everything was as we have enjoyed on our other visits to the Stables. Its location is handy to whatever part of Warrnambool and surrounds you wish to visit while in town.
Treats provided are always delicious,
see you again next year.

This is the 3rd year we have stay at Joanne's place and can't recommend it highly enough, the extra touches the Stables have makes it a perfect place to get away to.
Provisions in the kitchen for the guests are so generous and thoughtful.

It was such a shame my friend and I were only here for two nights because Goldicott Stables is a compact cottage of happiness! The downstairs living area has two sofas and a big comfy chair which we made good use of whilst watching a couple of DVDs on the big screen TV. A good disc selection is provided, including for children.
The kitchen was well-equipped, with a Nespresso coffee-maker and plenty of pods. Beds are very comfortable, the bathroom was spotless and the shower is very generously sized!
Joanne is an excellent communicator and host and left us with breakfast provisions and a few other treats and goodies. The cottage is only a few minutes from the town centre and is surrounded by gorgeous gardens. The scent of the roses was divine. All I can add is that we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We enjoyed a lovely week at Goldicott Stables, which was a great base from which to explore Warrnambool and the surrounding region. Joanne made us feel very welcome and the garden is even more beautiful than in the pictures.

I wish I could have spent more time at Goldicott Stables. The two storey renovated stables at the rear of the home are set in a lovely garden and are excellent accommodation. Every single thing has been thought of, right down to an ABC iView account login for the television. (There may have been other accounts, I did not investigate further but it wouldn’t surprise me.) Joanne was very helpful and friendly, and left us ample breakfast provisions and chocolates. The beds and bedrooms are beautifully appointed and I would return in a heartbeat. Easily one of my best Stayz!

From the moment my sister and I arrived we felt so lucky that we had the good fortune to stay at Goldicott Stables. The hosts Joanne and Henry gave us a warm welcome and made us feel that our comfort was important to them. The property is beautifully maintained with unique and interesting features and delightful decor. The rooms were all spacious and immaculately clean. The whole ambience is of stylish elegance paired with cosy comfort and we loved it. The fridge was stocked with staples like milk, orange juice and butter and the gift basket filled with delectable chocolate and biscuits and cereal and the most tasty jam as well as vegemite and peanut butter to have on the delicious bread provided. We couldn’t have been happier. On top of all that, the beds were very comfortable and the luxury of having a bathroom attached to each bedroom was greatly appreciated. The gardens are beautiful and there is not one thing extra we could have wished for. We would love to stay at Goldicott Stables again.

The property is simply stunning, like a page from a house and garden magazine. Lovely inside and out, super comfortable and great provisions. Excellent communication with owner. We were a bit disappointed that we couldn't watch a full movie due to intermittent wifi access. Owners are working on this. Overall an excellent stay.

'Ticked all the boxes'
I felt very comfortable talking with Joanne during our pre-visit phone call and even more so after her warm welcome to 'The Stables'. Both Jo and her husband ensured that our four night stay was pleasant and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the excellent wine, snacks and breakfast hamper they had ready on our arrival.

Beautiful House & Garden
First impressions mean a lot! As soon as we arrived the garden is what you see first, and it's absolutely beautiful. We entered the house and it was very clean, warm and welcoming. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee pods, bread, breakfast provisions in fridge and a lovely bottle of red and chocolates waiting for us on the bench.
Joanne and Henry are wonderful hosts and very knowledgeable about the area about where to eat and what to see. Definitely a good stay.

Converted charming stables accommodation suitable for 2 couples
If you love old world cottage style comfort & coziness (a simple reminder of how we cherish our nanna’s influences), beautifully homemade quilts, pillows & pouf’s, crisply ironed bed linen, fine bone china & wonderful details throughout the cottage including a labour of love English style garden, then this is for you. Breakfast goodies and a complimentary bottle of wine to top it off.
Everything was thought of without a doubt.
We did not want to leave.
Thank you very much for a most memorable & pleasant stay. I wish there were more of these secret stays to find.
Simply a hidden treasurein the heart of Warrnambool.
Thank you to amazing and caring hosts Joanne & Henry. 🥂😊

Great Weekend Away
This place was way beyond what was described. All the extras tucked away in cupboards etc made it a real home away from home.
The extra food touches left for us were by far the best we have ever experienced, beds very comfortable, so clean and owners were very friendly to deal with, will certainly be back and recommend to any body who asks.

Highly recommended
We had a lovely stay. The property has the most beautiful, well-cared-for gardens we've ever seen in a private property. Jo and Henry were delightful and helpful. The house was clean, neat, quiet and had everything we needed. Jo left us so much delicious food, having first asked about our preferences. The beds were very, very comfortable, and we slept the best we have for ages. We felt very much at home, and highly recommend this property.
