We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Port Douglas. It was great to have a pool in the back yard. It was large house that catered to our large family. It was great to have the privacy of trees and yet only have a 5 minute walk to the beach. It was lovely to have the beds already made up and to have both beach towels and bath towels. The lounge rooms were very spacious so we had plenty of room to move.

What a wonderful place to stay on our first trip to Port Douglas. The house is beautiful and the laidback vibe is contagious. Well resourced and Tina was around to answer any questions we had. Great location too. If you don’t want a boring, personality-free resort - this is the place for you.

After 3 weeks of traveling, starting in sydney to end up in Port Douglas, your house felt as an oasis of tranquility. It was even more beautiful and charming than the pictures. Our family of six, felt at home immediately, it was if we had lived here for longer. We love the books, art, desigh, THE VERANDAH, the light, the breeze, the pool and BBQ!Being close to the beach, Port Douglas and many interesting touristic points - this house is perfect. We've been in many places, but for sure, this house ranked number one immediately. Unfortunately it is quite a distance from Amsterdam, otherwise we would come over more often! So many many thanks and may be we come back again some time. Otherwise we will visit your apartment in Berlin.

We came from melbourne to have a holiday in Queensland and your house was the best place to enjoy Port Douglas from. We all loved the colorful paintings all around us and the bedrooms were beautiful and the other rooms were too. We spent lots of time in the pool and beach, and collected many beautiful shells. The water at the beach was warm and we spent lot of time there. Every night the geckos would come out and catch their dinner. The beautiful butterflies were also very attractive. We've been to many places during our visit and I'll name a few : Cow Bay, Moon light cinema, Cape tribulation, Daintree rainforest, and many more. Thankyou for letting as stay at such a remarkable beach house!!!

We came to Port Douglas from Sydney to have a 30th birthday celebration for our entire group of friends. Now no one wants to leave. The house was perfectly stocked and fit us all perfectly. We barely left in five days. Most of the time was spent on the upstairs balcony, but we seemed to move naturally between all the different spaces. The book selection was good. and the colourful decor made it a great holiday place. We will definitely recommend this to our friends and family.

wow, what a privilege to pop the cherry on this gorgeous rental property. Everything we used was new! We had Geckos, owls and curlews to keep us company at night. Our visit was to celebrate a close family members wedding so we filled the beds with relatives from place far and near. The warmth of the property (and the sun of course) meant the laughs were freely flowing and of course so was the beer.Number one, above all else to the cook who booked the home, was the fact that the knives supplied were sharp - a rental stand alone. Thank you Tina and Matt for creating this sanctuary and sharing it. We very much hope to return
