The hotel and staff were really good, when I arrived there was a small problem with the room and the receptionist moved me to a different Room. I would definitely stay again and recommend to other people.
The only thing that let the hotel down was the signal to the room TV was really bad, but on the day I checked out I noticed some scaffolding at the property so maybe that was the issue,

Excellent location,
Staff polite,
Pet friendly.
No on site parking available when site stated on site parking was available only room for less than 10 cars, and had to pay for on street parking
Bathroom ceiling falling down, all room and public facilities very dated

Unlike other hotels I've stayed in Scarborough they don't give a parking voucher for the full duration of your stay.i got a disc for 2 hours, I was there 3 days. The car park is only small so I didn't get on until the last day. Other hotels give a scratch card you put on your dash and you can park in any number of public parking places for the entirety of your stay which is much better. It wasn't mentioned to me when I checked in I could pay for parking, I only saw that sign when checking out.
The room I had was very outdated and not like the photos on the website, the bed was uncomfortable and the hotels smells, kind of a musty smell. I definitely won't be staying there again. I'll be going back to one of the others I've stayed in previously.

The lounge and dining areas looked very festive and were comfortable. It has lovely sea views . The staff were all helpful
Some streets were closed off .So it was not easy to get parked on arrival. There is only a small carpark and they let me park there the next day I had received a parking ticket. They do give out a clock and you pay for 2 day parking but at first there was no spaces near hotel and I have a health problem with hips and lower back.

The room was reasonably comfortable. I didn't take breakfast.
The problem with the parking which was non existent and I was not informed beforehand so consequently had to walk more than a hundred yards to find parking and then it was only for 2 hours so not happy about this

The location of this hotel is very good
The hotel is tired and dated with crumbling paint on the bathroom floor huge wet patch on the bathroom ceiling which resulted in salt bubbling out of the brick work around the TV electric socket, dirty curtains and windows, expanding foam surrounding the windows, shower head encrusted with lime and mould and mould surrounding the silicone seals around the shower and a rusty shower frame

Excellent breakfast with a view to relish

In generally the hotel was outdated but comfortable and clean.
The parking space is very crowded and the hotel management didn’t pay attention to avoid too many guest parking in and by this getting out with the car is a real nightmare

The location was really good due to us attending a nearby concert and being on the coast
There are a lot of reviews on booking.com stating that there is only a car park with 6 spaces but you can buy a permit to park on street in the disc zone. Upon arrival we were told this wasn’t the case and that this was ‘misinformation’, if that’s the case then they should be responsible and take down these reviews or atleast respond to them saying this is no longer the case as we were given a parking disc instead and told to change it every two hours. Not only is this against the terms of the disc zone, so had us risking a fine during our stay, we were at a concert so couldn’t change every two hours.
Hotel room was also incredibly tired looking, chipped furniture and although the bedding and towels were clean the rest of the room wasn’t.

The views, the views! absolutely stunning. Breakfast was lovely, as were the breakfast staff, couldnt do enough for me. Room was clean and tidy, is what i expected for the money.
The parking, rather lack of (i know its not the hotels fault) they are old buildings, were not designed for cars,. but a little planning (like tetris) more could be done to get cars in. The polish lady on sunday was helpful, however come monday 12/08/2024 the woman at reception couldnt give a shit having us all blocked in with her car included, not nice

Very good localisation, in the center of the city, so you have close to all must see points, beaches, castle, old town, marina.
Comfortable bed, even single one.
Room was ok, tidy and big enough for 1 person.
Breakfast full English, was ok.
The noises on the corridor in the morning (like 6-7) when ppl were going down for a breakfast and in the evening while coming back from the city. Some additional info about silence in corridors would be nice for other guests.

Had an amazing 2 night stay at this hotel, myself, husband and dog, took my Mum away for a short break so booked 2 rooms, asked for them to be close together if possible and they were.. opposite! Rooms were lovely, very clean both had really nice views.
We stayed half board, food was lovely, breakfast was excellent, evening meal was 3 courses and you had a choice from 3 or 4 options for each course (different choice over the 2 nights)
Having a dog with us meant we had to eat in the bar not the restaurant but that suited us, and we had our own table set for us each meal (with a water bowl for the dog) which was lovely.
Our first night we had the delight of entertainment in the bar... it was amazing... such a good atmosphere everyone was dancing. Even our golden retriever got up for a dance.
We all had such a good time, it was made extra special by the friendly staff, nothing was to much trouble.
Nothing!!!! We went expecting not much for what we paid, we just wanted a base to be able to explore the area. But was very pleasantly surprised. Will definitely be returning.

Lovely welcoming hotel with beautiful views. Breakfast was excellent.
Forgot to book parking at the time of booking the room which was my fault but there was street parking.

Hotel was very clean and sea view room was lovely and comfortable. It was lovely to sit by the window late afternoon, watching the world go by.
The hotel is a good uphill walk from town with no buses nearby. We are getting older now and find it more difficult each time we go. We will continue to go while we are still mobile though.

Breakfast was average, room was nice.
