Exceptional property, and a perfect base for exploring the coast

The suite was incredibly well equipped and comfortable with full refrigerator, microwave and laundry facilities. The bed and sheets were incredibly comfortable and the shower was amazing. We traveled through a gate to an area overlooking the Pacific. There was a firepit where Scott set up a fire for us one evening after sunset, an outdoor eating area overlooking the water, and Debbie’s beautiful flowers and gardens were everywhere. Scott and Debbie were very gracious hosts and although we were out exploring the Redwood National Forests and the Southern Coast and lighthouses, the suite was very welcoming to return home too. Debbie and Scott also gave great recommendations for local area dining. We really couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Would stay again

Bed was very comfortable and everything was spotless.

The shower control did not function so was unable to turn down the temperature. Owner tried her best to solve the problem but think it needed a plumber.

Private. The view. Amazing bedding. Friendly and helpful hosts. Well appointed kitchen -even teh knives were nice and sharp- a rare find!

Lovely place. Great amenities! Super awesome hosts and the pictures don’t do it justice.

The room is pretty visible on the property so for privacy you have to close all the blinds. A lot of light switches of shapes and sizes felt a little weird.

Totally relaxing, private, serene, and a beautifully kept property.

We have stayed at this little cottage 3 times so far and love it every time. The location is so quiet, seure, and relaxing. We always feel welcome but also have lots of privacy. We love the Oregon coast and engage in birding, hiking, and eating lots of yummy fish and chips.

I do not have any complaints. We return each year if possible and I hope to in the future.

It was the perfect getaway weekend with everything you need. The view was great and the property owners were very nice and inviting. Stayed here to visit the town and the amazing hikes around the coastline. The bed was comfortable and shower was great. The cottage itself is just adorable, neighborhood is quiet. I will be coming back if I can because it was overall everything we needed.

Great place to stay! The hosts were amazing and so sweet. The room was very clean and comfy. we were surprised with a small cake for our honeymoon.

Excellent residential style suite.

The Tanbark Shores was superb. It was exceptionally we'll set up and had all the amenities we could have asked for and they thought of many we hadn't even thought of. Our hosts were excellent and welcoming. The location near Brookings and to the S Oregon and N California sites.

We had another comfortable stay at Tanbark. We plan to come again.

We have stayed here twice now and each time we had a very positive experience. The rental is quiet, private, and no traffic. My husband kept commenting on how comfortable we were staying here. AND we were provided with a bottle of complimentary wine. Our host even turned on the TV and tuned it in to the Chiefs game....GO CHIEFS!!!

No complaints at all.

A charming beach cottage with many amenities. A private location with a large great room, full kitchen, your choice of twins or Queen bed, a dining nook and a sweet fireplace with a large screen TV. The bathroom is perfect. A beautiful patio overlooks the gorgeous Brookings rocky beaches. We had a wonderful four-night stay.

Debbi and Scott are terrific hosts. We had an amazing stay! They are cordial and welcoming! We have amazing fires and the new deck is wonderful! We look forward to coming back again! Please posts pictures of your new room you are constructing. They are very welcoming to dogs and their quirkiness.

Enjoyed every second

Debbi and Scott are wonderful hosts. They are so kind and helpful. The bungalow is so beautiful and cosy with so much love in every detail. The oceanview is stunning...find no other words. Fully equipped kitchen and lots of goodies, comfortable beds... We enjoyed every second at your place. Thank you for having us.

Superb

Location was great. Easy walk to town, shops, restaurants and Chetco Point. Fantastic view off of the back deck of the main house. Sunroom in main house accessible to guests and has a wonderful view of the ocean. Very well located for visiting the nearby beaches and trails. Multiple beaches within a few minutes drive. Owners were very helpful and were readily available for assistance/advice as to the property itself and to the community.

Our 4 day stay at this property was positive in everyday. We hope to return again and again.

My husband and I enjoyed the peace, quiet, privacy, and comfort of this little hideaway. The location was perfect for us. We birded, walked beaches, visited the redwoods, cruised the docks at Brookings and Crescent City, and ate delicious fish and chips everyday. Everything was close to our accommodations. We were blessed with delightful weather and so our coastal trip was perfect! Thank you to our wonderful hosts.

I really cannot think of anything that I did not like. I am so grateful for the positive experience that we shared this week.

Perfect Home Away From Home!!

Debi and Scott were very welcoming and friendly!! They treated us like family!! Great ocean view from the backyard. Comfortable beds, kitchen well supplied for cooking, foot stools, electric fireplace heater, secure gated beautiful property... everything we needed for a fantastic vacation!! Thank You So Much!!
