2 min to the beach, 10 min walking to Mazunte, friendly staff, quiet room (we were on the end but it was still quiet, despite other reviews saying it wasn't for them), great view on the balcony
There's no door for the toilet (just the shower curtain) and it's open above (the walls don't go to the ceiling) - this could be weird if you're with friends, food is only offered for breakfast so you'll have to look for dinner in town (not a big deal), AC took a while to cool the room but the next day it was a lot better since we left everything closed, some bugs in the room

The room is very pretty with an amazing view of the sea. It is a short walk to an amazing beach. The pool area is very nice.
We changed rooms, the first room had no glass on the windows and we could not use the air conditioner so we changed to a more expensive room. We thought it was overpriced and the breakfast was average. The shower floods into the toilet and bathroom as the floor was flat. There was no door on the toilet.

Our room had an incredible view over the ocean and we could watch the waves in the morning. It was comfortable and the AC worked well. They provided us with chilled water every day. The staff were friendly and attentive. San A is a beautiful place to visit
We had a scorpion in our room one night, the duty member of staff quickly removed it. This seems normal locally but we hadn’t ever encountered one before. The staff were patient and helpful in removing it

Large rooms
Brilliant views over the sea
Clean rooms
No WiFi during our stay
I understand this was a technical issue but it wasn’t dealt with for 5 days
Staff quite dismissive when discussing this issue
Customer service poor

the balcony from my room had a wonderful view of the cove. I could hear the surf all night -so restful!
The breakfast is made to order and is excellent.
It would be nice if the hotel had some portable chairs to take to the beach. Beach towels were provided.

the location and views and rooms are beautiful.
the breakfast staff wasn't very nice or welcoming, we did not know breakfast was free because we were not told when we checked in. the food could have been better.

I stayed at Casa La Ola for two weeks and I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were absolutely lovely and helped me change rooms a couple of times, due to noise and another issue that came up. I would recommend the rooms in the middle of each of the rows/floors, as the two rooms on the far left of the first floor (if you're facing the ocean), have a tree that blocks the view of the ocean a bit and on the rooms on the far right are closer to the road, which can be noisy. The rooms were very clean and beautifully presented and the hotel feels very safe and secure and is a very short easy walk from the beach and the main strip of shops and restaurants. I would absolutely recommend staying here, despite it being a bit pricier than some other places.
The wifi in the rooms was a bit weak at times, it was fine the cafe though.
Otherwise, everything was very good.

Breakfast was nice and the room was comfortable. Great view of the ocean
It was Ok but there was no real buzz to it. I've definitely stayed in friendlier places

The staff was very friendly and provided excellent service from check in, to breakfast every day, to helping us with special requests for housekeeping.

The beds, the room, the view
The breakfast was good but could have been better. We also didnt get much of an introduction to the hotel or the area

clean and well organized
too many children which made it too loud. As well, people still smoke. Please consider a designated smoking area or provide ashtrays. Otherwise, all was great!

The view was amazing along with the room was very spacious. For a family with kids the pool area was excellent small and restrooms close by.
The breakfast which is included in the price was just ok. It took a long time to arrive even though we were the only ones there. The chef was talking to another employee the whole time making it even slower to arrive to us. We asked for pancakes for the kids and got French toast even though the menu says pancakes. My chilaquiles were cold since the chef looked busier with his conversation than with making the food.

Location had good views. Comfortable bed.
For the price this place was very basic. My food came with LOTS of ants; we asked them to remake the food and they gave us burned food with more ants. The shower and toilet space was very tiny. There are light stains on the walls of the bedroom and the bright yellow stains on the shower floor. AC was mediocre.

One of the best hotels where I stayed in Mexico, rooms are really nice.
Would be great to have some food options except breakfast as it is not easy to find restaurant in this area
7.0 / 10.0
-The location worked well for us - near a beach and slightly outside of the main town so quieter
-The breakfast was good
-The room was clean
-It felt overpriced for what it was
-The pool area is very small with only 8 sunbeds for a hotel with 15 rooms
-We were given a very small room - considering the hotel was clearly at c.30% occupancy it would have been greatly appreciated to be put in one of the larger rooms
-Our room did not have glass windows - it was shutters with netting to keep bugs out so the air conditioning had to be on all the time to keep the room cool which is not very energy efficient

The room had a beautiful view and it was super clean. The bed was super comfy. The mini fridge was really helpful and the A/C worked very well. The beach is just across the street. The breakfast was included and it was really tasty and prepared at the moment. Personnel was very helpful and nice.
The toilet didn’t have a door. we would suggest at least a curtain.

We booked for 3 nights, and immediately booked for 2 more nights when we saw our room. The hotel is situated on a hill which means all of the rooms have a gorgeous view of the beach. The rooms are spacious, aesthetically very pleasing and very comfortable... had some of my best sleeps in this hotel in our king-size bed. The rooms also had great attention to detail, such as a lot of storage space for our belongings and clothes, and a lot of hooks to dry towels and wet clothes etc. The location is in a little town next door to Mazunte, about a 10-15 minutes walk. The walk gets hard in the heat but it's not far. St Agustinillo is also a beautiful quiet town with good food. The room was exceptionally clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We found scorpions in our room one night and the staff were very quick to fumigate the room (apparently they are very common in this area). Breakfast was simple and delicious. The hotel pool was also simple and great relief from the heat. The local beach (which is about 2 minute walk) was our favourite beach on this coast, quiet beach, clear water and fun waves! I loved watching the surfers from our room each afternoon/early evening. Absolutely loved our stay and recommend this property! They also gave us a late checkout with no charge and let us use the hotel facilities until our car arrived in the evening.
The WiFi didnt work so well in the room, but we enjoyed using the common area (which was very quiet during out stay) to use our phones/laptops etc. It also helped us switch off.

I took refuge here during Hurricane Agatha. Not only was the sturdy construction a blessing, the staff could not have been more helpful, thoughtful, or caring. This place must be a true joy to stay at in good weather, as even with no electricity, running water, or wifi, it was lovely. Thank you to Araceli, Tito, Tania, Magali, and the entire team!

A truly wonderful, magical experience. The design of the rooms and the views are breathtaking. Super Clean and spacious next to the best beach in this area with nice restaurants. One of the best hotels we have stayed in in Mexico and would have loved to have stayed longer. Easy to walk to Mazunte or take a 2 minute taxi ride. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

the design, the details, the comfort, the lighting, the cleanliness, the open spaces, the colors, the view, the location, really overwhelmingly beautiful! and the personal caring service was the cherry on the cake!
that we stayed only one night!
