Literally loved everything about this place. The host was incredibly sweet and very thorough in showing us around the property. The restaurant on site is a gem. The chef is amazing and so accommodating. The room was well equipped and very comfortable. And, then there's the beach - the hotel is steps from it and they have a spot with chairs and an umbrella reserved just for you. Cannot say enough good things.
I guess the internet occasionally goes out, but that's not really a complaint. Truly the only experience we didn't like was when we tried to explore Mazunte and had a guy try to scam us on some chairs. We decided our beach was better and there were free chairs, so we just went back to Casa Bagus.

The food was excellent. Everything about the place exceeded our expectations. We felt at home the second we arrived. Being right on the beach was out of a movie! We will be back!

We absolutely loved our peaceful stay at Casa Bagus on the ocean. Manon, Gabriela and their team make you feel like family the moment you book. They email you tips about the area and your stay to help you pack and prepare. Once there, you are blown away by the beauty of the place. Right on the ocean, waves crashing, your own chairs and umbrella to relax in daily. The Perla Negra restaurant within the hotel lobby is simple and SO GOOD too. We went out for dinner and lunch in San Aug., Zipolite, and Mazunte…. But this place (Oscar, Mina, and Flor) put together healthy, fresh, delicious food. The shrimp are huge and so delicious. We ate tacos, burgers, ceviche, tostadas and shrimp pastas. Delicious every time we should have just eaten there every day! The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. A/c is helpful when not use to the heat. Having our own recliner and umbrella each day on the beach to turn too was super nice too! Manon was our vacation guide and helped with connections, ideas, scooter rentals and even connected us to a local tattoo artist (and drove us there). We can’t say enough good things. We will be back in 2024. We wish we never left :) -Honeymooners Lisa and Nathan
really nothing. Nathan and I love visiting Mexico. I would say if you’ve never been to Mexico or this area…. it’s helpful to know that this is a quiet, sleepier part of the beach. walkable to other spots or Mazunte too. Come here to relax.

Absolutely amazing place right on the water with dedicated sun lounges. Best location on the beach. Modern, clean, personal (I think only 6 rooms), comfortable and all round perfect. Wifi was good and showers had hot water

construction noise from nearby projects was annoying but not at all the fault of the hotel

We really enjoyed that the property was right on the beach. We appreciated that each room was given 2 lounge chairs. The staff was friendly and helped us arrange outings and taxi service. We were able to borrow some boogie boards to enjoy the waves.

brilliant location and a lovely clean modern hotel, staff were super friendly and very helpful . lovely and small hotel very personal, had the beach to ourselves.
unfortunately we had a couple of days off bad weather and there wasn’t any where else to go other than the bedroom as rain was coming in the reception/dinning area.

The staff Gabriela snd Olympia were so lovely snd very helpful.
we also loved the location. we s as Lao loved the restaurant food as everything was delicious.
restaurant opening hours were inconsistent, never sure when he was going to be there, which was a shame when he served up such good food.

It’s hard to pinpoint a single highlight because simply everything stood out! It was incredibly cozy, friendly, and fun, and all the amenities rocked! Manu (the host) greeted us by saying “welcome to paradise” and truer words have never been spoken. Added bonuses? The restaurant in the hotel was amazing (fresh mango juice every day) and each room had two designated beach lounge chairs. This is one of my favorite vacation spots ever!
It was all perfect.

What can I say, I booked 5 nights, it was so good that I booked an 4 extra nights and came back at the end of my holiday!
A gorgeous hotel set right on the beach with the most welcoming and homely vibe. As a solo traveller this was so important, and the host Manu made me feel at home from the moment I arrived.
Great food & drinks from Oscar, comfy beds, hot water and good pressure, comfy loungers on the beach. Loved everything, it’s paradise. Thank you!!

A small hotel in an exceptional location, right on the beach. probably the prettiest beach I have ever visited. we didn’t use the restaurant, preferring to walk up the hill to the variety of places in Mazunte. very helpful staff. They are eco-conscious, and it is a very relaxed environment.

perfect location right on the beach, amazing spacious room and bathroom with AC and stunning views of the beach. Olympia, Oscar and Manon were fantastic and made our stay super comfortable! having our own beach lounger was a major plus. the beach was beautiful and empty, also great for swimming to the right of the bay, plus really fun to use the body boards on all the waves. wish we could have stayed longer as it felt like a dream!!

This was my fourth time visiting San Agustinillo since 2004 and have stayed at this location every time. Before it became Casa Bagus, the hotel was basic but clean with a good restaurant. Casa Bagus has done a nice job of maintaining the charm and appeal of the location, but now with greater luxury, comfort and service in a lovely little hotel! I would say that this is now probably the best place to stay in San Agustinillo.
The room was beautiful and comfortable. It was cleaned and made up daily. Very much enjoyed the private terrace with day bed and hammock. Also, each room has its own private beach umbrella and lounge chairs.
Manon and her staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The food at the restaurant was fresh and delicious (especially the seafood and fresh fruit).
The location was great...5 minute walk to the middle of town with some great restaurants. Also, it was a quick 15 minute walk to go visit Mazunte, the neighbouring town.
It would have been nice to have a small bar fridge in the room.
