Stayed here with family (total 4 adults and 4 kiddos). Communication beforehand was great, the property was easy to get to, and the views were as amazing as you would expect. The kitchen, dining, and living areas were as pictured, and really take advantage of the amazing water views. Its a house with cool bones in a great location.
What you can't really tell from the pictures is that one of the bathrooms has aging wall-to-wall carpet over most of the floor (there is tile right by the toilet). The house was clean but the carpet has definitely seen better days.

This place was out of dream! We loved it.

A group of Oak Harbor high school graduates stayed at this location for our reunion. We enjoyed some walks on the beach and fishing from the beach. Unfortunately, we had no luck fishing. The home was very relaxing and we enjoyed looking at the wonderful view and sharing lots of stories. I look forward to bringing my family here for sometime next summer. Highly recommended!

Amazing location!

Property was great overall but there were some issues.
Pros
Location view and wildlife were amazing we saw bald eagles catching fish out of the surf sea otters and deer plus the small bunnies.
Sunsets awesome (except the cloudy days)
Even caught the aurora one night and some shooting stars
Cons
Though all amenities listed were present not all were accurately described.
The AC was only a window unit upstairs.
The air hockey fussball and table tennis were in the garage but only the table tennis was working.
There are also many items needing repairs. I notified the owners but they never responded.
The internet is there but only worked intermittently.
Worst con is owners are terrible at communicating.
If these items were all addressed this would be an easy 5 star rating but as is it’s a 4 star as the pros outweighed the cons

The house has a beautiful view and perfect layout for 2 families to stay together. We each had our own bathroom, and the main bedrooms were far enough apart that our little one crying in the night wasn't a problem for the other to family.
The house is also right on the water and several times from the windows we saw a little family of otters right in the back yard here running back and forth from the sea up into a storm drain to had further inland it seems. So cute!

6 women friends gathered here for a little getaway. It was a great place to do this. Beautiful outlook, lots of light, and plenty of space for everyone. Communicating with John was easy. Thank you for a wonderful place to gather!

The view is beautiful and the house is clean. I don’t feel the house and the rate I paid match thou. Surprised to not find any body soap which was a first for us who travel often. Never heard from anyone before check in or when I asked about soap.

We had such an amazing stay here. The view is spectacular, lots of outdoor space and very well-equipped kitchen. Our family couldn’t have asked for a better spot for our vacation. Thank you for a perfect stay!

Great kitchen, endless views, right on the beach. This was a life experience for all of us.

We enjoyed this home. It is close to everything!! Kitchen is huge and the family all helped cook and we didn’t get in each other’s way. The grandkids enjoyed the piano, the beach and the air hockey table in the garage. The morning coffee on the deck watching the waves was the best. Eliminating the decades old carpet and putting in New flooring would really make this much more enjoyable. We would come back.

What an amazing view of the sound! We had friends visiting from North Dakota, and they couldnt take their eyes off the view from the living room, their bedroom and the deck. Walking to the beach was a breeze. Plenty of room for all. Loved the gathering place in the sunken living room.

This is the 3rd year the moms of our family stayed here for Mother's Day weekend. It is the perfect place to rest, relax and recharge! There is a view of the water from almost every room. This year we got to watch the spectacular Northern Lights over the water in addition to the always fabulous sunsets. We will be back!

What a treat to stay here and enjoy the seemingly private beachfront access. Watched shorebirds and eagles while the kids explored small tide pools and under rocks for coastal critters. Amazing sunset and boat traffic watching. The home was comfortable and had what we needed to prepare breakfast and dinner most nights. Easy access and good communication. Cell service was spotty here...but wifi was reliable. Would come back again in a heartbeat!

Pros:
Great views and easily accessible to the beach. Lots of parking and close to shopping centers. Nice size kitchen with lots of small appliances (although we didn’t use any of them). Although there were a bunch of spices & condiments, most of them were expired.
Cons:
Noticed an ant problem soon after check in. When we notified the owners, all we got was a “oh no, sorry about”. Right sink in the master bathroom was clogged and the water took a while to get warm. There were also 2 dead light bulbs in there. We felt a few hallow areas in the kitchen floor while walking around. A lot of the blinds were also broken. Each bedroom had a door to the outside; which made us feel a bit uneasy about security since we were traveling with our 4 kids. Listing says each room has a queen bed, but we’re pretty sure 2 of them were full size. The railing on the staircase was a bit wobbly. There was also an overwhelming amount of light switches so you had to figure out which one went to what light.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay (since we were right on the beach), but likely wouldn’t return until the property is updated.

We went for annual mother-daughter (and 2 grandbabies) trip for my birthday. Breathtaking views, comfortable beds and furniture. Kitchen well stocked with pans, cooking supplies- low on some spices but thats not unexpected. Close to town for anything we needed but removed enough felt very secluded. There was a bit of an ant issue- likely just from being so close to outdoors- very small ants so easy to ignore or sweep up. Also one area at top of staircase that was open with no rail- our 18 mo old found it of course! She did not fall but we had to move some stuff to block it off- normal baby proofing stuff you should always do when staying somewhere though. Great parking. Can get to beach but no specific ‘access’- so need to be able to climb over some rocks- not too difficult and easy beach access just down the road - walkable! We saw bald eagles, an otter that came into the yard, lots of other birds, found lots of interesting shells!! Game room with foosball, air hockey and ping pong an added bonus! One bedroom had bigger closet which we used for pack n play for baby to have quiet— worked great. Overall- loved it!!! Would stay again!

We had a fantastic family gathering here, room for everyone and a fun adventure on the beach for those who scaled the boulders. Not a difficult climb down, kids were on the beach in a flash, but tricky for seniors. Lots of interesting places to explore in the area. The kitchen was well equipped for large group and the waffle makers made for a fun breakfast. We would definitely stay again.

Let me start by saying that this is the most amazing location you can fin on Whidbey. It is on the beach, accessible to it, with amazing views out to the Salish Sea. The windows all have incredible views and it’s worth staying here just for that. Other than that, the place could use a lot of updating, and the 3rd bedroom is very awkward. You have to access it through the master bedroom and then through the master bath. Awkward if anyone needs to stay in it, unless it’s for the kids and the parents stay in the master. We spent 75% off our time in the upstairs family/game room.

This is our second time staying at this property. It is very comfortable and in a beautiful setting looking right out at the Straights of Juan de Fuca, the Olympic Mountains and the San Juan Islands. The home/kitchen is well stocked. We will try to return again.

Our group of 7 (4 adults and 3 children) stayed at this property for two nights, and everyone enjoyed it very much. The house is located right by the ocean and offered spectacular views from every room. We watched the sunset from the deck, and the kids had a great time walking up and down the beach.
The house itself is well equipped and comfortable. Stores are just a short drive away in Oak Harbor. All in all it we are glad that we stayed at this property.

Awesome house, beautiful location…views! Big kitchen open to living area. Really great place for a family getaway. Beach access = climbing big rocks which is not an issue for us, just mentioning for those with limited mobility.
The only cons to me were the lack of fire pit which was in the pics and description. Disappointing for the kids. The mattresses were not great in our backs either.
BUT we all agreed it was one of the best paces we’ve stayed. Beautiful yet cozy and family friendly. Nice, flexible hosts. We are most meals on the deck. No one wanted to leave!

The house was magical! It was a unique layout that took
Advantage of the fantastic location. Having the water so close was an incredible experience. John was very easy to communicate with.

Everything was great except for a slow drain in the right sink in the bathroom. Also tripped a breaker in the kitchen.

I would recommend Grab bars in the toilet areas. The beach was hard to get to for some and it was quite rocky to walk on. The view and deck was great! A tv downstairs would be nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you

House is right on the beach. The views and beach were awesome! We were also able to do some Tidepooling when the tide was low.

Really great place to stay if you want to spend time walking the beach or relaxing while taking in the spectacular views. The house had everything one would need and then some.

Right on the beach, you can walk both directions forever feels like, house was clean and super comfy, we enjoyed ourselves. The one thing that I wouldn't mind being different is all the bedding is washed with laundry detergent with fragrance, which is hard for me to be around (I know this doesn't bother everyone), but I just slept on the couch instead.

Great host, lovely location.

The location is absolutely stunning. There was immediate beach access (a few steps) and the shore itself is walkable for a long distance.

We have stayed at this VRBO several times and it never fails to delight. Gorgeous views from nearly every room, low bank beach access, clean and welcoming environment, well-stocked kitchen, and great communication from the host. As a family of musicians, we especially love the piano. Every trip includes hours of music and singalongs.
The coffee table is the perfect size for a 1000 piece puzzle (we did 3 of them on this trip) and the dining room table comfortably seats 6-8 for meals and board games.
The kids' bunk room is a great space for them to play and hang out, and the upstairs crows' nest room is a nice space for adults to retreat and enjoy the view.
And - the beach in the winter is amazing. Huge waves and lots of active tidepools keep the kids happy for hours.
Highly recommend. If we could go there every week, we would!

We absolutely LOVED this property! Situated perfectly on the beach with huge windows to see the water from every room. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and walking up the beach to find the perfect rocks/shell/driftwood. Beautiful!!

The house was spectacular. The view was mesmerizing. We spent most of the time on the deck watching the Sound, loons, seals, otters and barges. We will remember this house fondly. The rooms were comfortable with large windows looking over the Sound. The kitchen was well equipped . I did find the third bedroom confusing as you had to go through one of the other bedrooms or go out the side door. Overall: WE LOVED IT. Memorable experience. Would rent again.

This property has an amazing view. The house is an interesting design but does need updates. Musty smell and stained carpets
