Nothing
The beds were horrendously uncomfortable, the room was tiny and honestly hard to move around, shower was awful, the "spa" in with the pool was freezing.. the pool was actually warmer then the so called spa and that wasn't really warm either.
The restaurant meals were super average.. travelling from tassie to Queensland and this was the most expensive and disappointing place we have had. Wouldn't go back if they paid me

The peace and tranquillity of the location. Loved the pool and our little unit. Would recommend and will stay again.
Looks bit tired and needs a bit of TLC in places.

I was working during my stay and the wifi was goood.
Resort Location: Surrounded by wineries, its a nice location. Be careful driving after dark a lot of wallabies. The place looks peaceful.
Resort Staff: They helped checkin, but hardly helpful.
Room: room chairs were torn, room felt moldy. The pillows were not changed since last checkout.
Our bathroom door was struck, we were moved to next room and that didnt even have a kettle.
Food/Breakfast: Paid breakfast at alpenrose bistro was not at all edible at AUD 24 per person.
But the Cafe/ bakery opposite to it serves way better food.

The spa smelt bad and so did the sauna

The restaurant, great value meals and comfortable setting. The staff across the entire resort are fantastic and friendly.
It is a bit out of the way, of the city. But that’s also the best thing too
3.0 / 5.0
That there are many activities to do for the kids.
The open spaces
The chalet layout.
It is very dated and requires significant modernising
The couches are extremely uncomfortable
The cost is too high
There is only a ring at one end of the basketball court, which is often being used
The golf course needs maintenance

Daily room cleaning was a bit lax, I had to clean the bathroom myself, towels were changed and bed made but that was all.
Warning of a noisy function would have been good.

Great cabin, swimming pool.
The noise from the wedding and bouncing jumping items deflated. I hope they put more kids' play equipment in it's place.

Location is lovely restaurant staff were absolutely fantastic!
All around run down and outdated property, rooms felt very old, dirty, blankets and bed linen and the chalet in general I felt were not up the standard for what we paid for the stay! Over priced for what you get considering everything else on the property is an additional charge. Pool was mouldy & slimy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years.

Our chalet was clean tidy and comfortable. it had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean and fresh and modern. Damien and the night reception fellow were both very professional and helpful.
We thought that some of the activities could have been included for guests rather than just a discount. It is a great place for children but that cost adds up when you need to pay extra for everything you do. Usually at a resort the activities are included. Maybe for what the property was making, more could have be invested back into freshening up the resort - particularly painting and the golf course.

Lovely Location, and facilities
The hotel room had an internal door adjacent to the next room. We could hear the occupants in the next room as if they were in ours… unfortunatly.
I will be booking an independant cabin next visit, better to have a stand alone cabin :)

The Location and the village.
We were expecting a room that had air conditioning as per advertised. The room we were given was hot. We consulted the staff whom advised that the air conditioner is currently “in maintenance” and that there were no other rooms available.
We were then given two fans which did not really cooled the room down.
We appreciated her service and understood that the inconvenience was not her responsibility, but there should have been an acceptable alternative given the weather at that period and the amount we paid.

The car park for room 477 couldn’t get out of car because of shrub in the garden, room 477 the toilet space was very tiny seems like you turned a closet into a toilet with its width, and shower water pressure was poor

Grindelwald Resort is a beautiful little resort! Love all the features and it’s perfect for a getaway.
The bed was a little too firm and the rooms could use an update.
