About this house rental
You could easily be mistaken for thinking that you're in Switzerland & not Northern Tasmania. Grindelwald Swiss village is a Swiss style village, with all the homes built in the traditional Swiss Chalet style. Just five minutes drive from Legana shopping centre and twenty minute drive from Launceston, situated in the heart of the Tamar Valley.
This home is both private & peaceful, being set on two acres of park like gardens overlooking Lake Louise. This is the ideal home to base yourself & the whole family, whilst exploring the Tamar Valley region with it's world class vineyards & cute towns such as Exeter, Paper Beach, Beaconsfield & Beauty Point.
The large open plan kitchen and dining area open on to the expansive back deck, which have amazing views across the luscious lawns & trees to Lake Louise & the Swiss chapel. This is the perfect spot to sit back relax & unwind after a hard day exploring. Or whip up a gourmet bbq of fresh, Tasmanian produce gathered from the local areas.
Downstairs in the home, there are two areas to relax. Yes, that's two! One for the children, whom will most likely not want to leave the room & one for the adults. The childrens space is a haven for them to hang out & let the adults have some time out. There's a sofa bed, theatre size tv with Netflix ready to go, a selection of board games & DVD's. PLUS a Mini Fus Ball, Mini Ping Pong, Mini Pool & Mini Air Hockey table! Yes, that's right!
In the adults living space, you will find two comfortable couches & wood heater to keep you warm and cosy on those chilly Tasmanian Winter nights, another tv & a selection of books. Also downstairs is the master bedroom with Queen bed & en-suite, plus the main bathroom, each with own toilet & laundry. Upstairs are the other two bedrooms. One with a King bed & the other with two single beds & a trundle bed (portable single bed). The single bed room even has its own "Juliet" balcony.
"But what are we to do in the outdoors?", you ask. There is plenty! The home comes with the free use of a single canoe (with oar & life jacket) to paddle around the lake AND two adult size & one childs push bikes, all with helmets.
If you are tempted to leave the home after all this, you can walk to the nearby shopping village which offers you a choice of cafes, a bakery, retail shops, a restaurant and a bar. You can also pay to play on the Putt-It mini golf, paddle boat ride, tennis court and a 9-hole golf course.
Launceston airport is thirty minutes drive away & The Spirit of Tasmania ferry terminal in Devonport, is approximately an hours drive away.

Thank you for the beautiful stay. The property was gorgeous and clean! The kids loved the table football and the size of the tv. The location with the lake was dreamy. My favorite family pic was my kids on a rug under a tree looking towards the lake. So much space! Loads of rabbits and the neighbor even dropped off pears. Only downside was no blinds in two bedrooms. Although there was plenty of space between homes I still felt uncomfortable.
