Amazing location and rooms. Pity your bar staff let you down

Excellent location and rooms. Pity about your poor attitude bar staff

Female bar wait staff. After dining out elsewhere and coming back to the Hilton for an expresso Martini and thinking we'd finalize bill only to see cocktail menu and order one more, the look on face and extra effort to do this was appalling. To the point she groaned out loud and screwed original eftpos up in front of us in disggust. Far from the service we've had previously from the Hilton Auckland.

My stay at Hilton Auckland was truly delightful

Overall, it was an outstanding experience. Nestled right on the waterfront, the hotel offers stunning views of the harbour and is conveniently located near many of the city’s attractions, making it an excellent base for exploring Auckland. This hotel offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and convenience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the best that Auckland has to offer. I look forward to returning in the future!

Breakfast was a highlight, although there was a bit of a wait to be seated. While it wasn’t a major issue, it would be helpful if the hotel could manage this better during peak times. That said, the quality of the food made it worth the wait.

perfect place to stay

Great location loved the view , the bathroom was spacious , the lobby area looked gorgeous and welcoming . we arrived early as we had disembarked off a cruise ship and staff very kindly let us check in early and Gave us our room 🙏 we were treated like royalty and I only wish I could of stayed longer . the breakfast was divine too

My experience was alright, the staff and the view was the only highlight of staying here.

Breakfast was good, the bread was hard though.

I was charged extra without any warning, there was no kitchen and no smoking on the balcony which was disappointing.

Served it's Purpose

The location was really good. It was just a walk to the restaurants and entertainment. We bumped into a celebrity (Cliff Curtis) so that was very cool!

Let your guests know that parking has to be paid for. We were slapped with a $85 fine for not paying for parking. The people at reception and concierge happily pointed out that there were signs outside, however we did not take notice of the signs. We have been to other hotels where the person checking us in raised that parking was an additional cost and pointed us in the direction to get it sorted out - I would suggest that you do the same.

We were very happy and enjoyed our time to stay there.

The breakfast was amazing.

There is no comb and toothpaste. We forgot to bring but couldn't find anywhere.

Overpriced for the room and facilities.

The view from the room was nice and the restaurant food was good

The price was way too high for the quality of the room. Shower nozel was falling off and the room was very dated and looking scruffy.

Wonderful, location and staff excellent.

Quiet location and quiet room. Very comfortable bed and decor was fresh and clean. The staff were friendly and efficient and the breakfast delicious. I also loved having a bath in our bathroom.

The bathroom was dated and needs a refresh.

Wonderful experience in all respects.

Fabulous location; excellent staff who were very friendly and attentive; superb room with balcony views; wonderful breakfast; so convenient to all my needs. One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Highly recommended.

Dress circle location on Auckland Harbour

Nice airy lobby. Great view from the room. Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was great. The staff checking in were pleasant, if not a bit formal. The two concierge guys were very helpful with getting us a cab and providing local information - very friendly.

The TV has limited free channels. The room charging process was not as indicated on the Booking.Com booking. The total amount was taken by the hotel before we arrived.

Overall not impressed

The view until cruise ships arrived, lovely view at the restaurant.

Rooms need to be maintained more, broken shower head, door stop, balcony tiles broken, balcony not completely private, and tiles squished when you walked on them, was expecting a lot better considering it is the Hilton. Some Staff were absolutely awesome, but some were quite dismissive.

Our stay at this hotel was disappointing due to issues with cleanliness

The hotel room was on the top floor, with an expansive view of the city and the water. The view was magnificent. There are many places to visit within walking distance and the location is very central

The room was not very clean, there was a dirty towel in the bathroom as well as a large amount of hair in the drawers, to the point that the staff took a picture of the drawers. We were disappointed since it was my daughter's birthday and we had hoped to make the occasion special. We were also disappointed with the size and temperature of the swimming pool, which was very cold. Our request was also for flowers to be delivered in honor of my daughter's birthday, but they never arrived and instead we received chocolates from the hotel management. Which was a nice surprise but nevertheless we requested flowers with no communication received from management. Also room service was ordered and the food quality was extremely poor. There was no Netflix only Sky and the television was not very high quality either, as the image flickered constantly. As a result, even though the location and the view was magnificent we were left unsatisfied with the overall experience in this hotel.

Complimentary breakfast was so good, the bed was comfortable, the shower was ok.

The bathroom didn't have a lock on it, which I found weird. The bond realizing at the counter I had to pay an extra 400 dollars was an unfortunate event. I booked a king leisure deluxe and it didn't match the photos. The one I had booked had a bathtub in the photos and I was not put into it

A little behind the times with connectivity - no option for streaming services and pay-for-view movies in 2024? Paying for valet parking in the open outside the front door.

Le buffet petit déjeuner, peu de choix dans les produits surtout dans les fruits et souvent mal resservi. Le personnel de salle est très aimable, certains bossent la tête baissée ce qui est agaçant quand vous souhaitez quelque chose. Il est dommage de faire payer le cafe expresso ou le cappuccino dans une formule buffet du petit-déjeuner. C’est la première fois que cela m’arrive…. Si vous êtes amateur d’esoresso ou cappuccino ça sera payant C’est dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de machine distributrice

Good location, but expect more from 5 star hotel

Location is good. We didn't mind the big ship parked along-side taking the view (it departed after a few hours and opened up the view). The guy at the concierge was very helpful (Robert I think his name was)

Probably expected more from a 5 star hotel. Small things like no slippers in the room, Limited tea offering, then also the tea and coffee not replenished the next morning, a long with dirty mugs and spoons left after room serviced. Staff overall just seemed to have very little care factor
