The river and that’s all
Rundown property, not maintained, short uncomfortable beds, both rooms stinking humidity and fungus on the ceiling; nothing that showed on the picture.
The owner of the Auberge, arrogant, unfriendly and only worried of the pay.
Breakfast was so poor for the money they ask, couple of croissants and bread, butter, jam, couple of the cheapest cheese for 15 Euros.
We saw other auberges just nearby, same price, friendly people and maintained nicely.

evening dinner and restaurant
the rooms were tired dated and uncomfortable parts of the sanitary ware were falling off or rusty

Extremely helpful and friendly manager/owner who speaks fluent English. This property would be awesome in summer - when one could take advantage of garden area alongside gorgeous stream running past property. Fab mountainside walk 20-min drive away - and they have a lovely border collie cross who welcomes guests
Room rather basic and has no Tv. But it’s s historic 200-year-old building, so it befits character.

A friendly welcome. The room was large and clean; it has seen many summers but the rooms have a certain charm. The setting of the hotel is perfect, there is a lovely garden overlooking the river and the woods a great place to relax. The restaurant provides delicious meals. A basic but ample breakfast.

The owner was very kind and made sure I was comfortable and made to feel welcome. My evening meals were delicious, made from locally sourced produce and beautifully prepared. The building itself was sympathetically restored, clean and had everything I needed.

Perfect for mountain hiking and quiet location by river. Room was fab and overlooked the beautiful river. Host made me very welcome and spoke perfect English which was nice. Enjoyed wonderful food as well for my evening meal.

Robert and Philip are amazingly nice and the food is inventive and delicious! Never a boring moment there! Rooms are cosy and we loved the view on the lively river.

The bed was comfortable and the heating in the room was good. The welcome and the service at this auberge was very friendly and attentive. The food choice was good and the quality of the food excellent. The selection of cheeses and the pate were particularly delicious. Breakfast was lovely with local jams and crusty bread and croissants and pastries. Sauage and fruit were available. Lovely little garden by the river. Very peaceful.
The bedroom was old fashioned and had a sloping floor. Characterful!

Five star hospitality from Robert and Philip who bring warmth and exceptional hosting and cooking skills to their simple Auberge, offering comfort and delicious food in a lovely old inn without pretension or grandeur. We extended our stay as we were so comfortable and well looked after and the area is full of glorious walks in the Pyrenees. We would definitely recommend it and hope to return.
There was nothing we didn’t like.

superb stuff, very cozy, funky and nice climate of the hotel, good restaurant with nice patio and down garden, and it's all located in a charming small French town, which at night is warmly lighted by the street lights.

Welcoming host, great food, lovely location. Really good value for money.

The beautiful view of the two rivers from our room and the quality of the food and wine in the restaurant.
Tight access to the family room as the building is old. Therefore that room would not be suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties, but this was not a problem for us.

What a lovely experience! Warm welcome, delightful vintage decor, comfortable beds and rooms, super bath, pretty seven-sided bathroom, the hosts were charming and helpful, and the food was amazing! Also the view and the garden looked terrific, but we went in heavy rain so stayed indoors. Excellent breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and freshly baked chocolatines etc., dinner was fabulous, three courses, the vegetarian option truly divine, and dessert a work of art. Some really beautiful antiques dotted about. Go and treat yourself here, you won't be disappointed, very good value indeed. Highly recommended, one of the best places we've stayed. Thank you so much!
The weather? Lol.

Something about this place struck a cord with me. It’s an older auberge and it has that feel that you are stepping into history, right down to the condensation on the windows and the loud plumbing. I felt as though I had stepped back in time for a while. The restaurant is excellent, and both dinner and breakfast were most enjoyable. The staff are helpful and welcoming. There are two dogs and a cute cat walking around, and pets are welcome. The location is great for motorcyclists or cyclists. It’s not the smartest place yet, but the owners are working on getting it how they would like it to be. I highly recommend it. It’s been my favourite place on this two month long motorcyle trip. I don’t have a photo of the hotel, so I include one of the pass just up the road.

The restaurant was lovely, room was clean, staff were pleasant. Located conveniently in Ustou to access to town like Seix and for hikes around Ustou.
