Good nights sleep but not the value for money. Hotel needs a serious update..
Really comfy bed and nice location. Really friendly staff.
Lack of facilities in the room. No fridge. Shower made weird noises whilst on, flickering lights in bedroom, high pitched buzzing noise whenever lights were on. Breakfast was sub par at best no cutlery on table, over cooked and bland food that had obviously been left under the heat lights in the kitchen. Obviously not fresh food.

Avoid staying here - if you must don't accept room 20!
Location was reasonably suitable. Staff were friendly. Plentiful cooked buffet breakfast, although I've had a much better range of choices in smaller B&B's.
Sadly the hotel was very dated with several annoying malfunctioning things. The toilet was extremely small, with a toilet that didn't flush at all, no towel rail, only a tiny shelf just big enough for a plastic glass. I told reception and they said they'd fix it but the next day it still took around 6 attempts to get a proper flush. Then it stopped working again. The shower sort of worked but only a tiny flow of water, and there was a small leak from the tray which caused a fair bit of black mould along the tray bottom and the old skirting board. Oddly even when the tap was fully turned off there was a regular nuisance drip. No toilet roll holder, but the holes where it had been were still visible, just left. Both soap dispensers were empty, I had to use the sachet of shampoo. The light for the shaving mirror was broken. There was no handle on the inside of the door to exit the room. Strange, all the other rooms did have handles. You needed to half turn the key in the lock, then haul the door with some force due to the door weight. Not simple, surely a handle would be in order? The hotel interior was gloomy and fittings very dated and worn. I detected a constant odour of stale cooking oil. It was very noisy when other guests were in the corridor or using the stairs. I only stayed for 2 nights, and wasn't expecting luxury, but I wouldn't return. I paid ÂŁ116 for 2 nights. I don't recommend this hotel, and think I was overcharged at that price for what I got. ÂŁ30-40 would be about right. This was one of the smallest - and most dysfunctional - rooms I've ever had in a small hotel. Overall I felt ripped off and shoved into probably the worst room in the hotel. There is no lift.

Exceptional
Well this place customer service is better than the ritz. I turned ill on my stay here Irene the morning receptionist could not do enough for me even let me park in the managers packing space. The lady behind the bar was brilliant as well table service with drinks and food even made me a hot toddy when I was poorly I watched her have her own family fetch colouring books and pencils for a lady who was struggling to keep her kids busy. They just can't do enough for you. A++++ from me will be staying again
The hotel is basic but clean I feel if revamped would be the best for miles please keep up the good work
