Room needs tlc.

Lovely views. Loved the old fashion feel of the place. Breakfast was delicious . Comfortable bed.

We stayed in room 6, tv didn’t work, iron burn in the carpet, massive stain on the headboard and horrible stains on sides of the bed. Ring stains on all furniture.

Disappointing

The room s were a good size and very comfortable. Nice and clean

When we came out of our room, all you could smell was cooking, i.e., fatty frying smell. There were two weddings on on our first night, which whilst I knew it was a wedding venue 2 made it like trying to sleep in ibiza. Because of the wedding the breakfast on the first day was buffet and whilst ok it was a bit cold! On Sunday, there were 2 power cuts, which delayed us, and we were so looking forward to returning from the racer for a lovely Sunday dinner. No such luck. Whilst staff were nice in explaining, we were very disappointed. Having said that, was it a blessing in disguise because we ordered breakfast straight from the kitchen in the morning. The omelette was greasy, and my scrambled egg was like leather. For a family that hasn't been anywhere in years, we wanted a great weekend, and our activities were great, but the hotel experience was not

Amazing residence with a great team, very professional

I have several dietary intolerances and the staff were amazing speaking with the chef to supply me with an amazing evening meal and scrumptious breakfast 👍

Wonderful relaxing weekend!

We loved the decor of the hotel, very comfortable and in keeping with the building. Our room was very clean with everything we needed. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The cleaning lady was lovely!! We booked in to the restaurant and the food was spectacular! The gardens were well kept and we loved sitting outside watching the rabbits and squirrels! Breakfast was outstanding with plenty of choice!! Over all it was a wonderful stay for a relaxing weekend with my husband.

Nice place to stay

Great location and lovely lunch on the terrace. Staff are really good, helpful, and welcoming.

The room and whole hotel was extremely outdated, finding the room was like going through hospital hallways. Our bed was uncomfortable and creaked, the pillows were very uncomfortable. There was no water in the room. The hotel had a very old smell to it also ! Massively needs an update and upgrade. Feels like we wasted our money and next time we'll pay the extra to stay down the road at Laceby Manor.

Last minute booking

Breakfast, although had run out of items so had to wait for more to be cooked. Some Period features, ample parking.

The bed, It was very uncomfortable, definitely needs replacing.

Hotel was clean and comfortable.

Advertised cocktails, not available. Evening meal disappointing, but breakfast good. When asked about cocktails, they responded these have not been available since pre COVID. On showing website stating full cocktail menu, the response was that is best western site, we have been independent for a number of years, nothing to do with Best Western!

pleasant staff and excellent breakfast but room not up to scratch

nice and quiet location, no problem with noise but was a Sunday but would probably be noisier on Fridays and Saturdays

mattress was very hard and uncomfortable, didn’t sleep very well due to this. shower also leaked a lot from the fittings which affected the pressure
