Attention to detail and a fantastic breakfast

Hugh served us an outstanding full English breakfast along with fresh baked bread and an assortment of jelly and jam made locally.
A sign or two indicating where they are located.

Rich breakfast, nice room, very beautiful pastoral view, hospitable owner.

Everything. Quiet. Great location. Felt like home. Best sleep I’ve had in years! The hosts, well, the kind of people you’d want to have as friends. They’re great.
Absolutely nothing. Can’t wait to go back asap!

A real gem and a great experience exceptional breakfast so it was not surprising that the sheep wanted to join us.
I can't see what anyone could not like.

Breakfast delicious and such beautiful crockery used.
Staff filling in were amazing.
The cockerals crowing at 4.30am....but that's all part of the farm experience. 👍
4.7
Definitely Hugh’s personality and wit, quirkiness of the establishment, and general relaxed feeling.
Nothing really to mention.

A fantastic welcome on arrival from Hugh, very friendly, very comfortable and quiet. A superb well cooked breakfast .
Just what you would expect from a four in the bed winner.
Only 2 things that I would suggest,
1- change the wooden toilet seats for more hygienic plastic.
2- A small fan it the rooms would be a great idea as it was a very hot day/evening when I was there even with the windows open the room was very warm.

We really enjoyed staying on a working farm and being met on our arrival by a Ram, who took a shine to my wife.
Our drive along the country lanes was on a gorgeous late Spring evening as the sun was setting: stunning views across the fields, with lots of wild life cross crossing our path up to Brampton Dales.
Hugh was kind enough to let me 'play' with Alexa at breakfast moving through, to use Hughes words "an eclectic choice of artists and music" and providing me with a number of interesting unexpected use of Alexa for baking bread!
Breakfast as previously noted by guests was accompanied by freshly baked bread and home made jams and marmalades: went so well with the bread.
We stayed in one of the converted out houses, it was clean, comfortable with a heater for those still chilly mornings and evenings.
There is a nice little surprise waiting for guests who stay at Brampton, I'm not going to spoil it here though ;)

epic breakfast

Breakfast was fantastic - farm eggs, local sausage cooked to order.

Loved where it was, out of the way. Loved that the host managed to get the right balance of being available but not in the way. The gentle animals.
Would have like slightly more accessible plug sockets but not really an issue.

Room was lovely & clean and bed very comfy
Breakfast was excellent with fabulous home made jams bread & hot cross buns.
Hugh was friendly & informative on places to visit
Enjoyed the 1940s music at breakfast in keeping with decore & lovely china
Maybe a couple of satchets of hot chocolate in room as well as tea & coffee would of been nice as not everyone drinks tea or coffee
&Maybe a welcome biscuit but these are just suggestions & didn't take away from our enjoyment of place

fabulous place to stay

something different lovely rooms and great host and fantastic breakfast
sound insulation between rooms not good
4.7
Definitely a farm. Very personal touch and hosts were extremely helpful. Amazing breakfast (did I mention it's a farm?) with great hyper-local produce.
There was a lot of mud and there were animal droppings everywhere (it is a farm) and the massive turkey was a little bit scary. It is down the end of a pretty rough track and google maps struggled a bit to decide which roads were roads (not the farm's fault!). The quirky bed was okay, but has seen many better days and the room did get quite chilly (end of Feb)
