Convient and parking
Shower didn’t drain away
4.1
Bath was lovely, shower head not working.
Location excellent, staff friendly and room and hotel very clean and had period features so very authentic.
4.1
Friendly staff.
Only one window would open.

Lovely, big spacious room with a great view. Really good location right in the centre of everything. The bed was very comfortable. We liked the history attached to the hotel. We were able to check in early, which makes a big difference in one night away.
Our bathroom was quite basic with no shower curtain. Breakfast wasn’t included in the rate.
4.1
Breakfast very good. Hotel room as you would expect, very adequate.
Lady at reception 100%,
Extractor fan in bathroom not working, very steamy shower. Should have reported it but forgot. I'm sure it would have been fixed.
If I'm ever that way again, it would be my first choice.

fabulous in every way we stayed in room 4 which was pure bliss . I loved the quirky furniture the bedside tables are unique

Staff very pleasant and helpful. Food very good. Location perfect.
Bar very small
4.1
the historic building with classic decor but with modern comforts gave us a tranquil break during a busy weekend away
nothing!! exceeded all expectations
4.1
good location and good staff
I think it is not fair they secured £25 for each day. it is not necessary because in the room there isn't available any freeze, food, or drink.
There for itis 5 days this money has not yet been credited on my account. It's a bother for customers.

location was perfect…. right in the middle of Arundal.
Took a long walk to get to our room. no shower in bathroom.
4.1
Nice spacious room, comfy bed, lovely pillows and sheets, soft towels.
Tea and coffee making in room.
Plenty of hanging space for a short break.
Excellent central location.
I think breakfast should be included for the price.
Wardrobe door was odd - very deep and wouldn't stay fully open when trying to hang clothes, and then stiff to close when I wanted to do that (room 4).
The carpet was quite stained.
In the bathroom there was an old soap and dried toothpaste left on the mini wall at the end of the bath, otherwise very clean.
Would have been great to have a coat hook or stand in the room as there was not enough room for coats in the wardrobe. That meant we had to pile up our coats on the chairs which looked untidy.
Very noisy at just after 6am when the bins were wheeled out of the store area outside.
It was a surprise on Sunday night that the Tap Room and the hotel bar were shut so early. We had hoped to have a cocktail or two, but even though the door to the hotel bar was open, the member of staff who came in (it was about 10pm) said it was shut. With 8 of us there, that was about £100 less custom for you.
The pub over the road benefited from that instead.

Good services nice rooms and building ,reasonable rates
Make people awake that the rooms at front can be noisy due to traffic starting from 5:30am
On previous stay I had rooms in rear block which was very quiet and away from road

Check in was efficient and the food was very good. The location is also excellent with lovely quaint shops and cafes.
I think the car park is very pricey and not entirely necessary given the price being paid for accomodation. Service for breakfast the first morning was excellent, but on the Sunday it was not so good. Very slow staff, tea was lukewarm and only one pot given for 3 people. Bread ran out for toast. People were waiting for a long time to be served and we had to go in search of staff.

Great location.
Comfortable room.
Quiet location
Had to pay for parking though Booking.Com say free.
4.1
Ideally situated and car parking easy. Room was cosy but entirely suitable.
I thought the breakfast was overpriced at £11.50. Information in the room booklet still showed it as £9.50

Very interesting old hotel, staff very warm and helpful

Loved the room so warm and comfortable. Lovely and clean.
Reception staff were lovely.
Would definitely stay again
We didn't like the breakfast room and staff were not welcoming at all.
We would not have breakfast there again.

It had character. The room was very quiet (number 27). It was right at the top to the back of the building, with a great view of the castle. Staff were also very helpful and chatty.
NA- It was excellent.

superb location, lovely staff
we were in room 5 and the stair case right next to us wasn’t carpeted and therefore noisy. there was an event so so the packing up was pretty noisy up and down the stairs until pretty late., just a warning of this would have been fine

Very comfortable stay at the Norfolk arms. Very central location
