The hotel was spotless. The beds and pillows were so comfy. The location was perfect for exploring. We didn’t have to fight for sun beds as there were plenty. The beach bar was very comfy and the food in the bar and pizzeria was lovely.
The beach bar closed at 11pm. The indoor bar was too bright and lacked atmosphere.

The location nice and quiet with everything you need.
Great stuff who surprised us for our 20th anniversary 🙂
Restaurant big food choice. Great pool. And beach very close.
Me and my husband enjoyed our 20th wedding anniversary at your hotel very much. Thank you 🙂
Size of the room.
A bit too busy a times in the restaurant which created chaos.

Polite, friendly staff who can speak multiple languages. Nothing too much trouble and very efficient.
Newly renovated building and lots of space that makes use of the spectacular views - sea, trees, mountains surround it!
Close to the bus stop (2.90 euros each way, per person) to Dubrovnik/Old Town and took about 30mins. Great views on the route.
The pool area and beach area are really quick and easy to flow between the two. Hotel is in a really quiet spot, and there is a busier bay about 20mins walk right (as you look at the sea).
Great selection of food at breakfast and dinner. Well organised and highly staffed so constantly cleared tables. Catered well for allergies and even prepared a completely different meal when I didn't like the option available, due to my allergy.
Room was a good size and comfy bed. Walk-in shower was powerful and at 6ft2 could stand under it comfortably!
The hotel was clearly being renovated and it promised to have a games room and indoor pool and spa area. These were not ready and therefore not open. Very disappointing.
Significant lack of shade around the pool and on the beach area immediately outside the hotel. However, lots of umbrellas available with sun loungers. People put their towels on these early but don't use them for hours on end, which is rather frustrating!
Lack of water bottle refilling stations, which meant you had to keep asking at the bar.
Restaurant area echos very badly and makes it difficult to hear one another at the table - sitting outside was better for this, but many people smoked cigarettes, which is not great for children or those with respiratory conditions.

Amazing location. Great views. Very nice in general.
A bit overpriced for a 3-star hotel. Could use a renovation. Its age is showing a bit.

The thing that I liked most was the location. Very beautiful territory and beach. The hotel is very big with different building. I didn’t stay in the main building. My room was perfectly clean and had everything the hotel should have. The view from the balcony was amazing. I would actually think it is more than a 3 star hotel.
The sunbeds on the beach were not free of charge. You have to pay 7 eur for each for a day. The ones at the pool are free, but they are always taken. I think people go there before breakfast early in the morning to put their towels on the sunbeds. so even if they didn’t use them, the sunbeds always looked taken.

Great location ! Great staff ! Very clean !
Built in 1972, seen very little maintenance since! Expensive drinks ! Room quite old fashioned in style and needs serious update. Shower leaked causing floods. Beach sun beds very expensive, 25 Euros for a couple per day ! I think pictures have been photoshopped !

Location, common spaces in the hotel, friendly people
Restaurant busy but well managed, never missed a dish, nice, healthy food, always fresh,
A very good 3 stars I would say.
Airco, even when the room is fresh, it does not seems to be powerful enough, you will have to sleep uncover or very lightly covered.

A very good 3 stars I would say.

Good location close to the beach with multiple restaurants nearby. Helpful staff. Room was clean. Excellent breakfast.
Very overpriced. We were placed in the Annex building which was very old. The general upkeep of the building maintenance is very lacking and needs some renovations - especially for this price.

We were delighted with the location of the hotel and the services of the beach-bar restaurant and pizzerria, both of which we used and enjoyed.
Our bedroom had been renovated relatively recently, was a good size with terrific views of the bay.
The en-suite bathroom was spotlessly clean
The evening food choices were basic and we found it very similar after a couple of nights.

Great location (10 km from Dubrovnik), good hotel for relaxing rest, free parking with lots of space. We started our trip from this hotel as we like the beach rest, and this hotel is one of really very few, which lays on the beach. If you like the beach and the pool - both are good in this hotel, and you can easy combine them, as they are really in 1 step from each other. The beach shoes a must, due to pebble there! The sunbeds and umbrellas are free of charge only near the pool, in the beach 2 sunbeds + 1 umbrella = 20 EUR for the hotel visitors as well. The rooms are really small, the air con is loud and creates not so much comfort, though the bed is so good, that other things are acceptable. We didn't have the fridge, this could be very helpful in Summer indeed, but we had the kettle. The wifi is enough for emails checking. I also consider the wardrobe is too small. Require the key for the safe in the reception. There is also a gym and SPA area with sauna, gym is free of charge. The continental breakfasts and dinners are fine. For the dinner you will find mandatory few kinds of meat and fish, but the quality of drinks should be improved both for breakfast and dinner, especially as for dinner the drinks are for extra payment. What I cannot understand, why the grilled meat and fish are dry. I had the same in Makarska in the hotel. Is it common? The bar serves the drinks also near the pool during the day, the price is high, but the quality is not corresponding to the price. There is a promenade along the coast, near the hotels and restaurants. There small seaport is next to the hotel, so you can buy some boats trips. In the end of the promenade (in 2-3 km) there is a small shopping mall with Super Konzum, Müller, DM, H&M, Pharmacy and few stores more. In fact, Mlini is a small cosy city and Hotel Astarea Select is сosy and homelike hotel. We really like it and on the way back to Dubrovnik airport will stay here again for last 2 nights.
Small room, no fridge, loud and poor conditioning system, quality of drinks.

Fair breakfast in the hotel, Orleander Restaurant was very good with pleasant and helpful staff and really good food in a excellent seafront spot. Pool area was lovely although we didn’t use it.
The room was in the annex and a bit small and basic, main hotel a bit dated.

location good. Indoor pool not working
After an overnight rain, leak started on both our rooms.
We booked for a half board stay at Astraea Hotel.
On checking in, I asked if we can upgrade for an all inclusive. The receptionist said they don’t do ALL INCLUSIVE.
During dinner we were told drinks is not included on our half board payment. We need to pay for drinks including water. Not allowed to bring drinks from outside.
I noted that there’s different offerings with guest as we went allowed to sit on other areas of the restaurant.
Other tables have bottled water and wine on there table and when I asked the manager on the floor why there’s different treatment at dinner times. The answer “You are not allowed to sit in that area, they paid more”; how rude.
I enquired at the beginning/ on check in.
Not happy with double standard of treatment at all.
needs improvement.
