It's a lovely location
Staff are poor and not very welcoming, they can just about say hello at times when we came downstairs in the morning, Manager just said, you having breakfast or not, no morning, did you sleep well, was every thing OK, nothing, it's a shame because it could and should have everything going for it, just needs the right people running it, which is something they haven't got at the moment, the food is average I've had much better for a lot less, you get the impression they are just taking a pay packet no enthusiasm at all

The decor and layout of the hotel and restaurant were very stylish. The biggest breakfast I've ever seen! Very tasty!
The bathroom sink was a bit of a nuisance due to the glass shelf not far enough above it. But not enough to spoil the stay!

Staff welcoming. Good location
Everywhere was unclean. Sticky tables and stained seats in breakfast area. Toilets in main bar were filthy. Dirty grouting on floor and generally poorly cleaned. Almost needed a jet wash on the ground floor. Ordered smashed avo with poached eggs. Avocado was bitter and black. Coffee not good either. Sealant around shower cubicle dirty and stained. Tap leaked onto floor. PAT testing out of date.

i couldn’t really fault anything the room was clean and we had a wonderful stay

Decor, comfortable bed, view out of window (the River Thames), easy parking. Good information in room. Nice complimentary coffee (real coffee bag!), and complementary chocolates.
Noisy - from kitchen, and from pub below rooms, also air conditioning/industrial noises (again from kitchen(?) once it was open in the morning. Room hadn't been cleaned properly - biscuit crumbs and lumps of dried mud on the carpet, dirty sink, shower hadn't been cleaned either (previous occupants disposable razor left in shower). Maintenance - handle fell off bathroom door. No milk left with the tea and coffee.

Hotel was comfortable and staff most helpful. Rooms were a goodsize and well furnished, Easy car parking and quiet at night. Brekfast was very good but evening meals were pricy.
Cost of food and drink too much. Could not get a all but detatched toilet door handle refixed. I reported the fault a number of times to different staff but over the stay it was never attended too.

Breakfast was delicious and the location was delightful. The staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble
Having to leave. Otherwise we did not have any complaints

we use to stay here and it was lovely
I didn’t like how we were made to look idiots in front of a pub full of people by saying we haven’t payed when we did and we left and then he rang us to come back as he sorted it . we stayed I. our room all weekend as we felt embarrassed

good location and nice breakfast
room was very dirty, carpet hadn’t been cleaned for months if not years, had a quick look under the bed and really wish I hadn’t, shower had mouldy silicone, extractor was filthy and toilet pan wasn’t clean on arrival.

We only slept there on this occasion..unable to fully judge. We loved the atmosphere and the decor.
Our room was a little small.

The night entrance was by a fire escape from the kitchen yard, not the best experience when we were returning after a wedding.

Ery good
Unfortunately all the staff need training in hospitality. No one made an effort to even smile let alone converse with guests such a shame because it’s a beautiful location

Lovely countryside location with good view if you stood on your toes. The room was fine and the bed comfortable. Good shower.
Standard pub vibe and cheap toiletries. Rather overpriced for what it was. Price did not include breakfast so didn't eat there.

The position was beautiful. Very homely comfortable atmosphere.
Unable to open windows on warm night due to noisy traffic.

The room was clean and tidy with plenty of space and very comfy bed. Very ample full English breakfast and good evening meals with nice beer.

nothing
disgusting dust, hair and bins not been emptied was happy to be turned away by staff so they clean the rooms because we were to early to check in. Rooms were not clean.

Everything, the place is lovely. Situated in an idyllic location next to The Thames. We had a superior room with a view of the river and the ancient bridge. Well worth the extra.
The food was superb, both dinner & breakfast & theres a great selection of drinks. The staff are kind and courteous particularly Craig (I think his name is?) the owner or landlord, who worked tirelessly to ensure the place ran well.
It's been recently refurbished and theres lots of nice little touches like blankets to wrap up in whilst sat outside.
We only came for one night but would've loved to stay longer.
Nothing. Loved it.

lovely location and a nice pub.
the room was filthy and honestly looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. built up dirt all over the room/thick dust/toilet hadn’t been cleaned whatsoever.
The hotel manager genuinely couldn’t care less and didn’t even look us in the eye and was just on his computer while we asked for the room to be cleaned. incredibly rude and dismissive. For £170 a night you’d expect better.
