The evening menu, breakfast, and desserts were delicious.
Cute and cosy single room.
Modern bathroom.
Staff were so helpful and friendly.
Surrounded by fields, great for walking.
Gin bar downstairs.
Would definitely stay there again - I loved it!
There are a lot of country lanes in order to get - this may be difficult in the dark and/or in heavy rain.
Could hear some noise from the bar as it was Saturday night, which is to be expected, so it isn't an issue (just FYI for those who may not be expecting this).

A weekend break to celebrate my sisters birthday. Lovely pub in a very quiet location, clean and well appointed room. Dinner and breakfast was yummy as was Sunday roast. Great location for walks to Kelmscott Manor and along the Thames pathway. Will be back to try the Cotswold Gin Pantry.

Great location, friendly staff and great chef and bar staff.
Mattress a bit too soft for us.

This is a lovely little pub in the village where Kelmscott Manor (famous for it's connection to William Morris) is located. It was therefore a perfect place to stay while we were visiting there and taking in some of the other local sites. The rooms were nicely decorated with old world charm but modern amenities. We had a very nice dinner there as well and found the atmosphere delightful. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Parking out the back was a little tight and looked like it was in higher demand than there were spaces. The cord for the kettles were very short so we had to sit them on the ground while boiling. There was some water damage to the ceiling and carpets in one of the two rooms we stayed in, which detracted a bit, but I think this was recent (in April) so hopefully might have been addressed by now.

Delicious cheese soufflés. Good breakfast, fruit, yoghurt and granola, suitable for type two diabetes. Lovely garden, lots of flowers. Friendly and helpful staff. Thank you for another lovely stay.
Maybe a firmer pillow?

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this delightful old pub when visiting Kelmscott Manor. The staff were warm and friendly and happy to deal with special requests

This is an excellent local pub in a tiny village - ideal for walking by the Thames or visiting Kemscott House. Dinner was outstanding and breakfast was delightful - poached eggs with smoked salmon or a full English served with a chef's flair. Even the breakfast room had a log fire blazing when we came down! The bedroom was small but well appointed - even had a classic clawfoot bathtub! (ask for room 3). A little out of the way, but ideal if you want to be in that area.
The only criticism I might have is that they have limited off-road parking at the Inn.

Quite simply the best inn I have ever stayed at. The Plough is quirky, friendly, unpretentious and a home from home. I was there for work but have come away feeling like I have had a mini break in the Cotswolds.
Vincent is a perfect host and was super friendly and shout out to Dennis who waited for me to check in when I was delayed.
Breakfast is out of this world, I didn’t eat till the evening after scoffing such a magnificent meal, and the evening menu was superb.
Thank you Plough, I shall be back!
The only thing I didn’t like was only staying there for 3 nights!

The location is delightful and peaceful. The staff are friendly and I received a warm welcome when I arrived. The evening meal was delicious and so was breakfast. It feels like home from home.
My bedroom was very small indeed (Room 2). Everything else was fine.

beautiful pub in a beautiful location.
The pub and the restaurant were closed on both nights of our stay resulting in us sitting on very uncomfortable beds for an evening in front of the TV!!

Good location, staff friendly!
Would have been nice to have some food options in the evening but understand the kitchen is being refurbished .

If you are a William Morris aficionado and you like a stay in a lovely old pub, then this is a perfect location for you. Breakfast was fantastic, bed was comfortable and the owner really cares. A bonus is Kelmscott Manor which is within walking distance of the pub ... a bit of Arts & Crafts followed by a good pint, an excellent meal and a comfortable bed. What a great way to spend a day. Check on the opening hours of Kelmscott Manor however ... we didn't, duh!

Really lovely location, friendly hosts, comfortable bed and good value. I would recommend.

1. Most definitely the shower, it was both very hot and powerful - also immediate, no need to run until reaches temperature.
2. The breakfast - a great selection and a good price. (I opted for breakfast included but the £8 quoted was well worth it).
3. The location was ideal for my purpose.
4. Correspondence from the property (updates on facilities (see 'what didn't you like')) and offers to book a restaurant as a result of the property's shortcomings.
1. The bar closed at 6pm (???)
2. Kitchen closure Monday and Tuesday (no evening dining available).
None of the above were made known at the time of booking but only later through updates from the property. Too late to cancel without losing the booking fee. (I booked without the free cancellation option) The nearest establishment offering food was 2 1/2 miles away - a long walk on narrow, dark and icy country roads if you wanted a drink or two with your dinner.

We travelled for over 3 hours to stay here in the Cotswolds and this venue couldnt be more perfect for our first visit here.
It's more beautiful in person and exceeded our expectations. The staff are so warm and welcoming and the breakfast was lovely.
Highly recommend staying here and look forward to staying here again in the near future
