Toilet roll holder kept dropping off
Bed was just to hard for me personally

This place resembles an English bar in a good sense. It is very comfy, with very friendly staff. The room wasn't large but had everything needed. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast and the food in general were very good and tasty. The hotel is close to EGHP Popham.
Nothing really.

Clean. Restaurant next to it very handy. Free parking. Cleaning ladies very pleasant. Good breakfast.
Old facilities. A bit expensive for what it is. But the cheapest around.

Dinner was good. Some changes to the menu made it more interesting.
Room was good as usual
Staff are always lovely - friendly and helpful
Wi-fi signal is rubbish. Why cant they get a repeater or something that projects the signal
It is the one thing that lets the place down.

Fantastic breakfast, friendly staff.
Bar closes to early 10.30pm on a Saturday, last orders for food is a little to early as well at weekends.

Great staff, so friendly and helpful. The food whilst of a "corporate" menu was really good. The breakfast choice is varied and looked to cater for everyone.
Fire alarm at 0430, 😆. Can't really fault it, just need to remember its a pub and not a hotel and you'll be surprised

Good sized room, shower excellent
Frosty greeting at reception, hotel needs decorating, dirty walls needs painting. Once in the room on one of the hottest days of the year, there was no water offered, booked a double room but it was two beds pushed together.. Had a drink outside later, a yard that need renovating and cleaning

Price
Kettle inside was in awful state,
Wifi was terrible, close to none

The room was pleasant and the bed comfortable, breakfast was good value. The evening meal was good overall but the gammon was very tough and chewy which resulted in my friend having to leave most of it.
When we informed the waitress that the gammon was tough, her reply was I’ll tell the chef! My friend was then offered a free pudding, but felt that money off her meal would have been more acceptable .

Nice clean rooms, excellent breakfast
Noisy neighbours in next room but that's not the hotels fault but that was all.

All of it was wonderful .specially the staff .Julie was excellent she made my stay .very happy staff .I've stayed here 4 times now.
The only reason I had to say anything was that my bed was a little hard .there was nothing else wrong with my stay .

Close to Basingstoke
Long waiting time at the reception for check in, missing chairs/sofas in this area. Insufficient stuff, which prioritised the restaurant customers.

Very friendly staff at the reception, restaurant and bar. Excellent very filling breakfasts and evening meals. Very comfortable spacious bedroom. Large easily accessible carpark. Good value.
No problems at all.

The hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff ar friendly and helpful. The location is fairly well away from facilities, but is within easy driving distance from Basingstoke and Winchester.
Unfortunately there is a shortage of staff and they can get quite overwhelmed by the numbers of guests. This means that sometimes you have to time coming down to eat carefully.

The food was excellent and the staff were polite and friendly.
Unfortunately, there was an issue with the water supply, so no hot water or flushing toilet. Had to ask for compensation in the morning, suggested a free breakfast. Felt that should have been offered by the management, as a gesture of goodwill.

Room was clean, and staff were warm and welcoming.
Needed to get in touch with the hotel as I was going to check in late and there was no way of actually talking to a person on any numbers I could find, all automated which didn't help me.

The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and tidy and the price was great. The drinks are reasonably prices with a good selection. The car park had plenty of spaces. Great place to stay
There isn't a lot not to like, so if I was being picky it would be the quality of the workmanship in the up keep of the bathroom was average. But to be honest for the price you really cant moan

We found the breakfast good & dinner very good. The staff were excellent.
On arrival, we thought the exterior in need of some attention & our bathroom (Room 4) was also in need of re-grouting to remove all the areas of mould.

Staff very friendly and helpful .
Facilities generally good for users of ♿ and disabled scooters!
Restaurant food well produced and served.
Bathroom a little tired and a pity there are none with a walk-in shower which is important for any customer with a disability!
4.0
convenient location, easy parking and great staff.
we stayed to attend a party in the function room and whilst the staff were excellent and clearly very busy, it was disappointing to discover that the bar closed at 10.39pm and we all had to go to our rooms rather than sit and chat after our meal.

Rooms were clean
The walls are very thin was woken in the early hours from someone in the next room turning on the shower, there is also a lot of road noise and with the windows being only single pain alot of noise gets in. the rooms need some tlc in the bathroom there as cracked tiles ready to drop to the floor and the bathroom units were all chipped, looked like a dog had been biting at it. The breakfast was also disappointing with the quality just being lower than would expect and the continental breakfast selection could have been better.
4.0
Room clean and good size. The restaurant was beautiful and decorated in very good taste. The menu choice was excellent.,and the food was scrumptious. The breakfasts choice was on the same par, excellent and delicious.
A lovely experience at an historic beautiful house.
Everything!. There wasn’t anything which we felt could have been provided better.
