Parking facilities are great. The person at reception when I checked in was very helpful. I asked about having dinner - he explained that the kitchen closed at 9.30 (I believe it was). I had arrived about 8.30pm-8.40pm and I also asked about having dinner in my room but there was some mention of an extra charge. Overall the check-in experience was great. Breakfast wasn't bad - food was a bit cold but when it is under heat lamps that, I suppose, can be expected.
After making my complaint the next morning, the lady at reception asked me to wait for the assistant manager who was very polite and receptive.
After leaving my bag in my room, I hurried back downstairs to get dinner. At first I stood at the doorway of the restaurant waiting for some member of staff to acknowledge my very existence. That didn't work, so I approached the bar and the barman asked me if I was ok, I told him I wanted to sit for dinner and one of the girls working on the floor showed me a seat right beside where the singer was going to be playing in about half an hour. Now I know I wanted a quick bite to eat but, in fairness, to order, be served and eat my food was going to take about half an hour at least. After being shown to my table right up in the corner up the few stairs right beside an escape door, I looked at the menu quickly. What would be the quickest option? A pizza, thought I. So I ordered a margherita pizza and a pint. Pint arrived, margherita pizza arrived looking like a quattro formaggi - there was so much cheese on it, you could not see the tomato sauce or the base of the pizza. However, I was hungry and ate as much of the cheese block as possible. I positioned my cutlery in the 'finished eating' position, finished my pint and put away my reading material and then sat there for almost 20 minutes until someone realised that I wasn't a statue in the corner and came to ask me if I was ok!!! She was a lovely server and I then ordered a pot of tea...by that stage I could only drink half of it because I was on a deadline to get back to my room for a zoom call. I also realise that the restaurant was busy but I was sitting by myself, and I really felt that some of the floor staff were more concerned about the larger tables because that would be a bigger tip. Needless to say by the time I got up from the table the singer was well into his singing. Wonder was I being punished for wanting a table away from the music???

No fridge in the room.

Fab decor, comfy bed. Very clean
Roulade was amazing
Ordered a rare steak, got a medium-well. Dessert was served on a roasting hot plate so accompanying cream was curdling. Booked a late checkout - had 5 people knock on my door and 2 attempted to enter. Felt very unsafe as a result. Pity as hotel is fabulous

The ground floor was flooded, the smell of sewage through the hotel was awful

Great stay and staff were very friendly & helpful.

First time staying at this hotel as we couldn't find anything closer to Marlay Park to attend a concert. First impressions were good, the hotel was lovely, clean and well presented. The rooms were spotless and the bed was very comfy.
Check in was extremely slow, only two staff members working. Breakfast was a little expensive but we opted not to avail of it and went out instead. The hotel is not within walking distance from Marlay Park

We were quite disappointed with our stay. The carpet in the room was so filthy, curtains are torn and the shower pressure was terrible. They were also not able to provide an EU adapter and we had to buy one which I feel is ridiculous for the amount of money we paid for the two nights. Definitely did not feel like a 4-star hotel.

Staff efficient, welcoming and helpful. Clean and well managed hotel in location good for us. Free parking was a good bonus. Room well equipped and plenty storage space, comfortable bed too. Bar grill fine for couple of nights but I would have like option of restaurant to entertain friends.
Not much - just restaurant was closed!

Receptionist was extremely rude 1st she told us we were in twin room and thats what I had booked so I showed her my confirmation of a double room no apology at all only o thats funny. We had to ring at least 8 times to get room service and they kept telling us they would ring back but never did. Morning of us leaving went down for breakfast and were told breakfast wasn't included in our stay again had to go to reception with confirmation they told us we would have to take it up with booking.com that it was their mistake and made us pay for breakfast.

The room was clean, well presented.
The staff polite and helpful at check-in.
The room was next to what I can only explain as a maintenance room which sounded like a generator or machine that came on every now and again during the night which meant I didn't get much sleep. I recorded the sound on my phone and played it back to the receptionist when checking out. She responded and said it was quite loud.

The hotel was in a great position for what we needed - close to transport and close to relatives that we were visiting. The bedrooms were spacious and clean, if not a bit 'tired', and the bed was comfortable. The bar area is nice and the breakfast area/food was excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly.
There was no safe in the room and there was no iron or ironing board. The lift was slow and one was out of order while we were there. The bedrooms are a long way down narrow corridors and it's easy to get confused. The hotel decor is a bit 'tired' - we did not seem to get any of the rooms that are featured on the website. There was never enough soap in the bathroom and no vanity disposables or lotions supplied.
