Large hotel with good facilities, nice pool.
Exterior quite run-down (OK if you arrive after dark like I did). Lots of steps and different levels.

Good steaks in evening, very good bacon and sausages at breakfast. Attentive service. Pool use included and water was warm. Swim towels provided.
Rather rambling premises with lots of steps up and down to get from A to B. Those with limited mobility should discuss with hotel before booking to ensure they get a suitable room. Separate disabled access was signposted (steps up to reception). Pool changing rooms adequate but a bit basic.

The room was as expected, cozy and as expected for the price I paid. The shower was amazing. The rooms facilities and amenities were as expected. The beer was nice in the bar but the pinot wasn't very nice but the bar had closed shortly after we ordered, so we couldn't raise the concern with the bar tender, so we left the drink on the table and went to bed.
I wish we had time to take advantage of the spa and pool facilities. We will next time.
The bed was too small for an adult couple. £12.50 per adult for breakfast was more than expected and this is why we did not have breakfast.

The room was superb.
Food wonderful.
Facilities fantastic
Nothing, everything was spot on
2.5
The staff were very helpful
The food in the bar was excellent
I booked an executive room for 3 nights. If I had known what it was like I would never have booked to stay there. We stayed in room 1.
3.5
The room was adequate and clean. I would describe it as functional rather than having any 'wow' factor, but this partly due to the age and layout of the main building. On the plus side, this did make a nice change from modern 'box' hotels.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the bar area was particularly pleasant. Breakfast was very good.
The free parking and proximity to the M5, whilst not being right next to it was also very good.
There's nothing negative to say given the price. I would happily stay again.

The facility’s
The fact the superior luxury double was two single beds pushed together very uncomfortable beds payed 120 without breakfast

What I would expect in a Hotel.
Staff in some cases did not always seem well trained or if so were not operating as a team.

We loved the spa
Lots of people smoking in public places

I needed a place to stay as at family gathering nearby so it fitted the bill - was close, had parking, a restaurant and food reasonably priced (chicken & leek pie and veg (£14.95). I left early to drive home so before breakfast was up and running, but there was a kettle in room with coffee.
its an old school railing hotel so you can get a bit lost in the corridors!!, but its fine. I has a spa - I did not try it. View for the terrace is amazing over the Somerset Levels - the hotel is located the very end o the Mendip Hills so elevated. Easy access from main roads and not that far from M5. Staff friendly.
nothing - it was fine

the open use for the pool and spa facilities make the property a desirable place to stay.
the room was rather small and not in the main house. rooms above ment a lot of noise and running around from children attending a wedding.
3.5
All the staff were excellent, helpful and very friendly, especially Dominique in the restaurant Evening meal and breakfast both very good.
The hotel overall showing a lack of investment in all areas, looking tired and shabby.

Continental breakfast was a joke. Only 2 items that resembled this were yoghurt and tiny pastries . No meats/cheeses/salad as/bread rolls etc.
Rooms were quiet small and badly designed layout.
Restaurant food- could have cooked better in my own kitchen
4.5
The room was nice and cozy, even if furniture has an old style but all super clean and warm

Clean room ,,,staff very friendly

Hostel accommodation with dingy dark corridors. The view from the room window was an abrupt slope preventing any fresh air or escape route in the event of a fire.
Flashy beer pumps but fizzy insipid liquid. No bath towels provided on arrival
Most serious at 3 a.m and 4 a.m. was the running up and down the corridors of the first and second floor. Late nighters surely not, staff? I hope not. Outsiders meant a serious security breach.

Loved the location and the staff were all amazing xx
The breakfast and service from staff

Good supply of toiletries, coffee/tea, biscuits & towels etc
The beds were very hard 😢😢

The hotel represents it self as having a few steps to access the rooms, this is a complete lie... The hotel has more then 3 flights of stairs which are not very easily accessable especially for someone with a disability. Help will only be provided with luggage but in no way does provide any facilities to assit people with disability to reach there room . When checking out due to this false claim the hotel refused to refund the money for all the stay... We did not each spend 1 hour in the room yet the still charged for a full night stay ...
